Wow. What a site that is. I went and registered, and will give it a shot to create a map.

Thanks for the referral.

I'm going to keep plodding along, but I'm dropping the goal of signing in every day as well as making at least 90 pts a day.

Hope all is well for our Father's children, praying for all either way.

When SparkPeople eliminated their map on which I could trace and save a route I was mightily sore afflicted. Well, maybe just really bummed.

Please feel free to reply to this with suggestions, apps you utilize, online map resource links, if you have a reliable pedometer you suggest, or "etcetera, etcetera, etcetera".

Okay, you might have guessed it from the repetitive &c, I was a dedicated Yul Brenner fan in the 1960s and beyond. I enjoyed watching him play the spoiled rouge of a Siam King in the "King and I", from whence the exaggerated &c quote came from.

But I also likee Eiger Sanction, The Magnificent Seven, West World, and more. I only learned just now that he was a Russian-American. My ancestors came from that neck of the woods in Scandahovian Nordic lands up there... and even are credited with spreading Christianity into Russia proper back a couple of centuries ago. Anyway, I liked him better than Charlton Heston, except for Heston's role in "Soylent Green".

But I've gotten way off track. hahaha

I went to Google Maps but discovered after a while some troubling issues with that. I've bounced around the internet, including a map application located out of Ireland. I was able to locate myself in Texas and work the map but it also was a bother.

I've started to trace and save regular walking routes I have at mapOmeter. The program there did not force me to walk sidewalks or roadways.
I was able to use very limited landmarks on their map to trace the routes close enough to perfect for me.
Easy and simple sign up, fairly basic operation (select Exercise, in my case Walking) deselect the option to follow roadways (for me, as I take shortcuts), tap and wiggle map about until you find your location and select start button on the left of the map to then begin tracking your route.

If you pay a one-time fee you can apparently get more landmarks such as more places to eat along the way, restrooms, etc. I do not need that option at the moment
I think it shows potential for driving routes (which you could "stick to roadways" and select "Running" as your exercise.)

Anyway, I get nothing except maybe a smile from you for sharing this information and the following link:

Btw, did you hear of Armold Schwarzenegger's cooking show "Wok like a Man"?
hahaha hahaha

Okay, I'm sorry.
