I top my scale this morning at 187, so I thought I don't want to gain back all my weight so I better rejoin Spark People because posting on here helps me to stay focused with my get in better health goals. I will only post my weight once a month so count this one for October.

Gralan: I read that article on Google and yes it is a motivator for improving sleep and exercise. Just think how Doctors in training pull long hours. It is no wonder they can't think good sometimes as being over worked is not good for anyone and according to all the latest information it is not good for your health so make time for exercise and sleep.

Heyas! Did you read the Spark article about exercise and insomnia?
Highlights:
20min of moderate activity regularly has the benefits listed below.

-Reduces stress
-Sharpens your brain
-Eases tension
-Produces "feel good" brain chemicals (endorphins)
-Releases epinephrine, the happiness hormone
-Increases deep sleep

That is a "power up" for me, like in a game of Pac Man eating a pill, as I journey towards better health. Insomnia for me is not merely a bother, it is something I was being treated for until the VA decided to take me off of Ambien after prescribing it for me 3 years. Indeed, in the Military I worked 10 months of 12-hour night shifts on the Korean Army Headquarters south of Seoul.

But what is that compared to a risk-saving decision by a committee?
Oh well. God knows.

Every single one of us could use some mercy now.

I unfurled 50 pts for the team today. I lazed with a kitten and selected some library books - one of which is labeled "How bad is a banana?". It seeks to inform us about the realities of our carbon footprint. I thought it was interesting that a plastic grocery bag is really towards the bottom of our carbon impact. So, off to being educated and do some fact-checking as well. We must always look for accuracy with statistics, surveys, and "learned bigotry" (exposing such as: MacroEvolution really is not a fact of Science, that placebos work more often than medication even when you know you are taking them, and just because someone says the right prayer and is baptized that is no proof they are actually a Christian).

I'm feeling healthier eating more often with smaller portions. I will have to be training my body long enough for it to reverse some of the unhealthy trends I went through before. So far I've eaten 3 xs; two more to go.

Lord, have mercy upon us miserable offenders. We have not done what we ought to have done, and done that which we ought not to have done. But with you there is forgiveness, and you separate our sins from us as far as the East is from the West. Thank you.

I am still in that rut for this month. I will say that I've been strengthening some, and now that the pool is open I'll be doing a swim in the evenings to work my lungs and core muscle groups.

@GRALAN I a right about where you are. I have stayed between 206 and 190 fr over a year. I want the scale to go down to 190 and sit there for a year now LOL I a currently supposed to be on low carb due to diabetes. But I have had pasta 4 ties last week so although I lost a pound I am not supporting y body in 1) its wight loss and 2) its health.

I am weighing in at 206 this morning. I've been on this plateau for a while now. It is time I believe for me to alter my diet, perhaps by eating more fruits and soups. That should "pear" nicely with eating smaller portions but more frequently.

I've avoided the scale lately, but know that I went from a size 42 to 40 waist and had to put a new notch in my belt for the blade to hold firm. So that's a happy-happy-Walmart moment.

I walked into a Walmart one morning as soon as they unlocked the doors, a couple decades ago or so. Some guy was in the middle of a circle of employees leading them in a group activity... clapping their hands and looking excited as they sang "Happy-happy Walmart".

I turned around and left immediately. I did not want that cult to get ahold of me once they spotted me in the aisles.

I'm not even near perfect, but I know someone who is.

Sad to say I lost no weight with watching my diet, and all the exercise I did. I am thankful I did not gain . I am thinking maybe I gain some muscle back and lost some fat. Since muscle weighs more than fat maybe that is why I did not lose a pound.

No exercise while sick with flu. Did not eat as good as I should of . Result, I gained 6 pounds in 2 weeks. Well I am feeling better so I am back walking on the treadmill and making meals.

2 weeks ago I weighed in at 192 pounds. I have not been on the scale in the past two weeks. I have been very sick with the flu and I think I am holding water so I should wait till I am over this then I want to start weighing myself once a week.

I need to get back down to my lowest and keep going. I did get below 200 a while ago. I just need to do it again! I weighed 185 when I married my hubby 30 years ago. I would like to give him the gift of 185 :) MY gift to myself would be making it less than that!

I have never put my weight here....this is a new start....a new day....a new embarrassment...

I am the leader of this group and feel like I failed myself AND you!!! The time needed to be a good leader is more than I can afford, but I will lead by doing....I hope that is enough. I will post my success here.
