Yoga is listed as an exercise - but its listed under aerobic exercise and is Power Yoga Vinyasa or Ashtanga - there are many types of Yoga!!
Chair Yoga is not aerobic - nor is it Power Yoga
You can enter it on your tracker - under Strength exercises - Add an exercise - type in each movement you do - and click "save to Favourites" - when it drops to your tracker you will get 1 point and be credited fitness minutes!!
If its in "favourites" then you can select from there each time you do that movement - drop it into your tracker and get points and minutes credited!!

Hi All,

Glad to see that folks are out there and exercising!

Now as you may know, yoga is VERY popular and is a big business.
Maybe it's time that the people running SPARK should have an exercsie classification for Yoga.

Any thoughts?

Stay strong,
Anne Burnell

I do aerobics too, I was just looking for something I could do at my desk when my coworker is out of the office. In the morning I walk around the office. I have to be here to answer the phones but until we get a onsite boss and my activity is noticed I can do pretty much what I like in privacy.

Good - both Susie and I do Yoga - though I don't do it as often as I should!!

Remember you will need to add some aerobics inrto your program too!!

Thanks. I have to admit I'm sold on this form of exercise. I did the strength DVD yesterday and those crunches were hard. Not as hard as on the floor but they definitely weren't easy.

Yes - but it counts as strength not as aerobic - some of the faster Yoga forms are aerobic!!
Enter it in as a new exercise - with the stretches listed - and you will get minutes credited automatically according to the number of moves you list!!

I just got the Chair Yoga DVD and took it to work. I did it on my lunch break. I was really impressed. Good stretches left me feeling energized. I really enjoyed it.

My question. Does Chair Yoga count toward my exercise minutes? There were only a couple of moves I had a problem with.
