I have a treadmill at home and until spring gets here that's what I use. Once warm weather gets here I'll mix it up. If I used a gym like yours I'd mix it up there as well. I personally think you get different muscles going with each type of walking. Don't know if I'm right or not, but that's what it feels like to me, lol.

YES...nothing is exact....the track around the HS is probably alot more exact that the one at the gym.

I have noticed that I get alot more steps and mileage just walking at the park than on the treadmill. It is nice in a pinch, but the gages will not be the same.

I've only started walking within the last few months but I've noticed something that seems strange to me. I'm curious if this is just in my head or what. My gym has a 1/8 of a mile track. Some days I use that and others I use a treadmill. When I walk on the treadmill it takes a significantly longer time to complete my miles for the day but I feel like I'm working much harder. Can anyone explain this to me?

Thanks!
