Have you been allergy tested? I'm curious about this as well. I'm getting tested in Feb. (1st appointment I can get). I love to see the results of allergy testing - since there is a lot of thoughts that everyone is allergic to dairy and wheat but I can't believe that to be true.

I haven't actually heard that specifically, but I have suspected that wheat and gluten may be a problem for me personally. I limit my portions of bread or wheat products usually to no more than one a day. That seems to work for me. I don't know about dairy, usually I do fine, but my stomach seems unpredictable. I've recently come to suspect that most of the women I know could be diagnosed with IBS, but some of them aren't as comfortable talking about it. I think there are toxins in our environment that cause us to be more susceptible to food allergies. Of course, no proof, just a wild guess. I think we all have to watch our own responses to foods and decide on our own what works for us, because it seems to be different with each person.

Yes I heard about that but how come if I'm TTC! I try to limit them but avoiding them is so difficult because we have to take calcium!
I knew that hard cheese better than soft cheese.

Have any of you ever heard or been told that you should avoid wheats/glutens or dairy/casein because you have PCOS? I'm just now learning this for the first time and was curious if others had heard anything about it. Something along the lines that PCOS can lead to or cause you to develop intolerances to these foods... which in turn can cause bowel problems (ie IBS, diverticulosis, IBD, Celiac, etc). I've read it in a couple of the PCOS books and a SP friend heard it on the Health Minute. I've had PCOS for a lifetime I'm sure but was dx 17 years ago. Along the way I have developed: IBS, Diverticulosis and now am finding out I have food allergies (wheat/gluten, dairy & casein).
