I've been on a low dose daily aspirin for clotting issue for over a year. I did not notice lighter or shorter periods, but I did notice passing less/and much smaller blood clots during my cycle. My flow has not decrease.

Did you exercise today?

I was taking low dose aspirin for awhile, and now that you mention it, I think my period was lighter in flow. I don't remember if it effected the length of time, but since I didn't noticed, I would say no noticeable change.

I don't believe so. I don't have any symptoms but every test I have taken has come up invalid. I may go get another test today but I really doubt it as I just don't get pregnant, not for lack of trying. emoticon

Thanks.

I don't have any experience with this myself, but it does seem strange. Aspirin is an anticoagulant or blood thinner, so you would expect it to increase the amount of bleeding or the length of the period if it were to have any effect.

Are you absolutely certain you aren't pregnant? It is fairly common to have a lighter 'period' at 4 and 8 weeks pregnant (when your period would be due if you hadn't conceived). I've had this happen myself.

I have a website with loads of PCOS info www.mypcos.info Please stop by!

I started an aspirin regimen in December for a possible clotting issue and have noticed a change in length and flow of my periods since then. I was curious if anyone had noticed a change when they started taking an aspirin a day. I haven't been able to find much info online about it and mine are actually shorter and lighter which contradicts what I have found. Just wondering what others have experienced if they have started on aspirin therapy.
