Thanks for sharing - it's always good to know what works for different people. I agree with you that diet is absolutely key.

Good luck!

My diet works the most for me - when I found Atkins in 2008 that irradicated all my symptoms - weight gain, obesity, high blood pressure, insomnia, joint pains, mood swings and my skin looked generally brighter and healthier.

I don't know if Metformin regulates periods or again whether that came from my diet? Clomid regulated me though.

I ended up cutting my hair back to its crop rather than shoulder length because of how thin it was looking and that boosted the condition of it because I was no longer using my straighteners and associated products.

I was in Induction on Atkins when I fell pregnant and instead of moving straight to life time maintenance I actually stopped, which I think was silly. Now I'm back on it (two weeks) and hopefully I'll get back to how I felt.

So, then ... how can I pick your brains? :)

What do you think are the most important elements of treatment for PCOS? What works for you?

Welcome! I wish I felt I knew everything there was to know about PCOS - it seems everytime I learn something new or some new research comes out it throws everything I thought I knew up in the air.

I hope you'll share all your knowledge with us. It's great to have more experienced members.

I've just joined the group but as I've had PCOS for a long time I feel I "know" all I need to know but I thought it would be good to drop by to see what's going on.

Still here! Never really was that active here as I find SoulCysters a better resource for my PCOS questions. I use SP when I want to escape my PCOS and focus on my GOOD health. :)

Never really got that many responses from the peeps on here re: PCOS, but I try to stick around and check the team site from time to time.

I'm still here. Not as active as usual as I had surgery three weeks ago. I'll be back at it in a couple of weeks.

Best wishes for a Happy & Healthy 2010 everyone!

Our group has fallen eerily silent in the last few months, so I just wanted to see who was still out there and whether people want to resuscitate PCOS Healthy Life Style.

We were such a lovely, supportive group of women I'd love to see us come together again.

I've started adding in a few new topics which I think should provide a good place to spark some continuous threads. I hope you'll all throw in your 2 cents worth :)

Again, wishing you all the very best of health in 2010,

Belrosa
