Hi Suz,

Apple Cider Vinegar (well any vinegar actually) slows the rate at which carbohydrates are digested, thus lowering their glycaemic index (the rate at which their constituent sugars hit your bloodstream, and therefore reducing the insulin spike which accompanies the ingestion of carbohydrates)

D Chiro Inositol is involved in the metabolism of glucose within the cells. Without it, the progression of glucose into energy is impaired. Women with PCOS and people with insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, type II diabetes etc have been found to be deficient in DCI and supplementation with DCI has shown some very promising results at alleviating the symptoms of PCOS.

If you are interested in read any of the studies done on DCI and PCOS, just send me your email address and I'll forward them on to you.

Hey! I was wondering if you could enlighten me on how inositol is suppose to work for PCOS. Do you know what its suppose to do physically in the body? Also, I've heard alot about apple cider vinegar from you gals, too. Can you tell me what that is suppose to do? I appreciate it! I've been through the world of supplements a time or two with PCOS and this is the first I've heard of these two specifically for PCOS. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I have just started taking DCI a couple of weeks ago and am wondering if anyone else takes it or has taken it and what their experience was with it.

So far, I have lost a couple of kilos, wake up earlier in the morning, have more energy, my skin seems softer and I've just started to notice the facial hair is taking longer to grow back.
