I was having the same problems. I think I was in my old shoes too long, plus I was running on sidewalks... and well, I was doing a lot of things that contributed, but I went back to my shoe store and got another pair. I kept my old pair because I figured I just needed a change... also, when I got some Superfeet insoles and quit jogging on sidewalks, the problem went away. Since then I've also gotten a foam roller and that helps with injuries so that might be an option for you.

I definitely get some different shoes and check out those superfeet insoles. Good luck!

If your shoes are brand new, I would take them back to the running store. I had that challenge a few years ago and my running store took them back with no problem. You shouldn't need inserts if you're wearing the right running shoe.

I have tried Saucony, New Balance, and Asic, but my foot keeps going back to Nike. I have a high arch and neutral strike, so its Nike Air Pegasus for me!!

Each foot type category, stability, motion control, neutral, etc. have many type of shoes to choose from. Not all shoes for your foot type will be the right foot.

I have a slight overpronation (ankles roll in), so I wear stability shoes. My feet hated the Asics that my fellow runners wear. My feet loves the Brooks Adrenaline 8.

Try switching the shoes for another for YOUR type of foot. When you find the right one, then use an insert if you need it. I only use Spenco’s brand but there are a few other brands to try.

If they are a good running store they should take them back, or exchange them.
I am not sure that inserts would help.

Best of luck.

I just bought new inserts for New Balance runners
I went directly to a new balance store

try calling the company brand of your shoe & get a replacement, you might need a new shoe for your needs

if you have your receipt you should be able to return the shoes to the running store..I would try that first. Good luck!

Can anyone recommend any shoe inserts?

I underpronate and I think my running store picked out the wrong running shoes for me because I am having major shinsplints. I can't even get in a quarter of a mile and my shins start killing me.

Just a FYI my shoes are new :)
