Wow! I intend to talk to my doctors about this. Meanwhile, I am seeing the cardiologist a month earlier starting tomorrow. I have been having palpitations lately associated with dizziness and the need to take a deep breath. I went to my regular practitioner today, and she said my murmur is "talking." The EKG, oxygen, and blood pressure were decent, but after she listened to my heart, she called the cardiologist's office. The bumped everything up a month. She said it may be anxiety but wants them to check me out. Also, she said if it gets worse, go to the ER and have them call the cardiologist. It looks like I may be having my surgery yet this summer. However, she gave me a new prescription for my anxiety med and said to take the full dose. I did when I got home, and I feel better tonight. This may mess up my vacation plans this summer. emoticon

Thanks Jeanknee! emoticon I was on Levothyroxine for many years. That might explain my "apparent" IBS. I'm going to read this tomorrow. It's getting late.

You're welcome!

As disciplined as I am with my nutritional choices, it is evident from time to time that my digestion could use additional support. Now, is one of those times. I suspect the stress of the past 9 months is what's disrupted the gut balance for me. I am quite confident that food choices are not the culprit.

Intuitively, my sense was that I'd benefit from focusing on magnesium (supplementation has been hit and miss in recent months which is not good for me) and a product called GI & Muscle Helper.

The GI & Muscle Helper contains L-Glutamine, N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine, and Fructooligosaccharides. The GI & Muscle Helper was recommended for me when I first began consulting with Wellness Resources. That particular product has been a favorite of mine. I find it soothing. It likely supported my muscles with the return to strength training this week too.

I recently read an article that I thought may interest some. So, I am sharing the link.

SIBO is the acronym for small intestinal bowel overgrowth. Not only is it linked with antibiotic usage, but other medications like the thyroid hormone medication levothyroxine and several disorders are associated with SIBO.

To the best of my knowledge SIBO has not been an issue for me and I am not being treated with levothyroxine.
