I had Gestational Diabetes so sort of know how my body will react. Also, my last A1C was way down at 5.4, so my body is starting to behave again.

Happy for you to be able to eat corn on the cob!!! I so miss it! but corn anything really spikes my blood sugar so am accepting that NO - I don't need it as much as I need HEALTH!!

Saturday FBS 112 high for me - cannot relate it to carbs yesterday or known stressors Only thing different was that I had a very RARE GOOD night sleep!!! 3 and up to restroom then 5 un-interrupted, don't think I even turned over! hours of sleep -

Does insulin/blood sugar react to good sleep as well as poor sleep???? possibly the "Dawn phenomina we have discussed??

What monitor do you use - I read an article today saying that Walmart's Reli-On tends to read high and that is the one I use - wondering if I need to consider another one - they are out of pocket until next Dr appointment at least and not sure I want to change unless I really NEED to!

Fri - FBS 105 - so very tired - three naps today just because I can't keep my eyes open and body just wants to be laying down - not even sitting up!!! Did manage one short trip to the village to deliver produce to the grocer - one thing I can do to lighten the burden on Hubby.

Keeping on - keepin' on - not tracking foods - eating in the right ball park but no hoe runs!!!

Market was warm and poooorrr air quality due to forest fires around us
We are so very tired - age and health issues getting to us! Hiring help eased it a bit this week - but sure hurts the pocket book and lowers the profit margin.

August is our hardest month for harvest of market gardens and huge loads to Farmer's Markets as vendors. Not much time for computer or even for taking good care of my health but daily try to eat healthy, hydrate and sleep.
8/12 FBS 107 even after "splurge eating yesterday evening
8/13 fbs 103 working on up day--down day diet plan this week - will see how that affects the blood sugar when I am successful.
8/14 FBS 107 just determined to stay up here in the hundreds ---grrr

August is our hardest month for harvest of market gardens and huge loads to Farmer's Markets as vendors - long days even though physically I cannot help in the gardens, I keep the hubby going, and am active from my stool at the markets - selling, teaching, socializing and PR. Taking and filling special orders etc. Not much time for computer or even for taking good care of my health but daily try to eat healthy, hydrate and sleep
8/05 FBS 117 was up late and ate later than ususal the night before -
Stress level up but good stress with daughter visit with her beau - special dinner and close friend joined us - aware of eating total compliance . Pain levels and blood pressure both up.
8/06 FBS 118 busy day and no naps - slept VERY GOOD but did not use CPAP ...ooops.
8/07 FBS 110 BP 114/71 and weight down lowest in months! 205.0#
8/08 FBS 100 YEAH!!!!!

8/11 FBS 107 and our last market of the week - so tired and survival mode eating is not good for me - Tomorrow will work at lemon water flush of system and get back on course with good-for-me-food-plan ---this afternoon has been a bit of rebellion in the kitchen and I have had sugar and gluten and too much food - Deep breath and back on course!!!

Fasting 7.6 mmol/L, or 136 mg/dL

This is with the metformin, and is better than what was, which was more like 9.5 mmol/L or 170 mg/dL. Yesterday afternoon, mid way between lunch and supper it was 6.1 or 110 mg/dL

That is much better than it was before, in fact I was feeling weak at 110 mg/dL, and that is just my body. But a combination of low carbs, and mediation and I'm OK, just barely, but I'm OK.

8/01 FBS 101 Had spoonful of almond butter at bedtime to to cushion the pills and also to try to even out the blood sugar through the night a wee bit. then today I have been heavier to carbs than is several days so will see what the morrow brings!!!

8/02 FBS 105 Did the almond butter but was also higher in carbs yesterday 76carbs-15fiber=61net carbs. Just have got to say no to FRUIT!!!

7/23 FBS up to 110 this morning and I can't figure out a reason based on activity, intake etc except that hip is causing a LOT of pain and poor sleep quality.
7/24 FBS 100 BP 125/75 Wt 206.4 coming down slowly!
7/25 FBS 99 SMILING!!! BP 122/72 nd scales shocked me with 204.6# heading on DOWN!!!!

New week - lets see if I get below last week's average of 99!!
Sun 7/15 FBS 96 Concern for BP is high for me 145/83 this morning
Dietary carbs were high with ice cream & brownie 104carbs with 14 fibers = 90NetCarbs
But Mon 7/16 FBS only up to 105 so I am thankful!!!
Tues 7/17 FBS 104 Hot Farmer's Market in 105 degree temps for 5 hours and home to cottage cheese and berry meal... random blood sugar check is 138... seems high but I never do post- meal checks so don't know what to think!!!
Wed. 7/18 FBS 108 Hmmmm stress from heat yesterday or does it affect it when I eat later into the evening... When I take last food at 6pm I do the fasting test at 5Am when I get up. But on two market days I finish eating at 9pm should I wait until 7or 8am to do the fasting reading.

Friday 7/20 FBS 99 yeah, back under 100!!!

Month of JULY - Week 2 Fasting Blood sugars

7/10 FBS 97 Yeah but feeling tired and irritable and weepy today - weather is oppressively raining in am and windy in afternoon though warmer - body is hurting like barometer fluctuation and just not feeling happy or good.

WEEK of June 3 - Goal to get FBS below 100 daily and to understand what affects that reading
- goal is also to lose weight and maintain healthy cardio blood work
6/03 FBS 107 208# Evening started medication routine for one week for fibromyalgia

6/05 FBS 114 209# blood sugar is jumping around Could be the med change for fibro - will not be too concerned as long as it stays under 215 - but goal is to keep it under 100.
6/06 FBS 116 209# Not up to tracking all the details - making each meal a good choice of foods and letting details slide till I get on top of this fibro flare - good proteins and fats and keeping carbs low - thankful for the months of tracking so I know I am in the right ball park without the detail.
6/07 FBS 105 Attended and survived Farmer's Market
6/08 FBS 114 210# hope the weight comes back down quickly when the inflammation calms and I can get of these meds - will cut dosage in half Sunday.
6/09 FBS 111 209.5# - feeling better and able to be helpmate at market - walking slow and carefully on uneven ground as it is held in a park - good step numbers though and good nap when we got home. I am encouraged and starting to pull out of the duldrums of the last week. THANKFUL!!

Th 5/24 FBS 87 ***Lowest fasting blood sugar I remember seeing on me! 1409cal 17carb
F 5/25 FBS 97 Day 5 Egg Fast - Yesterday's calories 1375 21carbs-12fibers
S 5/26 FBS 105 had weird dizzy spell when up at 3am for potty stop - so had spoonful of peanut butter and so was not a true fasting blood sugar - Think I will put small container of ghee or coconut oil in that room for middle of night needs. Also suspect the electrolyte water may spike insulin a bit even though 1 carb. per pint.

5/14 FBS 99@5:30 I don't track calories on Sundays Last ate at 6:30pm Weight still yoyos between 207 and 210 ...right in the middle at 208.5 today. Pretty successfully keeping a clean fast between dinner and breakfast of 12-14 hours. 1/2Tbsp of cashew butter with 2am meds if feeling whoosy in head or tummy.
5/15 FBS 103 @5:15am Yesterday''s calories 504 with 28carbs
5/16 FBS 97 @5:30am Yesterday's calories 958 with 46 carbs for 19%
5/17 FBS 103 @5:15a Yesterday's calories 791 with 46 carbs for 22%

Bringing this topic back up into view.
First home testing this morning and it took me several tries ... but I have begun!!!
Thinking I that starting tonight I will to keep track of evening meal and time along with fasting Blood sugar in the mornings and for the first week will also check before evening meal and 2 hours after eating. I am not on any medication or insulin and DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO!!!

4/08 Blood sugars: 7am fasting 107 Before dinner 103 @hr after dinner 107

Couple days ago, fasting glucose reading was 76! Still need DR appt & see where we go from here. Maybe all is fine & we just continue as we've been doing. (No pop, eating better, plenty of exercise = DH continuing to lose weight.)
