emoticon Hi all! I'm new to this teem. My name is Brandy. I'm 24 and I live in Georgia.

I have been at SparkPeople for a while. Then fell off the wagon. I have been back at Spark for almost a month now. I have been getting really sick. The doctors doesn't know what's going on with me. I go back for a check up in about 3 month. If something strange happens to me. I keep note of it for my symptoms. So I can show the doctor the next time I see him.

Hi, I am also a newbie and love books so would love to join in on any discussions. I find it hard to find new good authors so tend to go back to the old favourites. I loved the Harry Potter series and the oldies of my childhood - Narnia , Lord of the Rings, as well as non-fiction but I'll try anything recommended.
I'm still finding my way round sparkpeople - there is so much to check out. It seems the most sensible system I have found in a very long time.

Hello everyone! I am new to Spark (my personal trainer recommended this site) and I love to read. Don't you just love the way books smell? I know it's crazy but I could spend hours in a library or a book store and not be bored. My favorite genres are fantasy (dungeons and dragons type stuff) and forensic science novels along the lines of Bones and CSI.

I would love to get to know all of you and hopefully make a few new friends along the way.

Have a great day!
Jennifer

Thank you all for the warm welcome. So far I haven't lost any weight, but I'm working real hard. Staying on track in regards to calories and exercising. Regardless if I lose any weight, at least I won't continue to gain and I was gaining at a frightening pace. I already feel better and feel good about the choices I am making for myself and my family. The whole family has changed the way they eat and it is because of my influence.

Thanks again for your warm welcome

Hello,

I am relatively new to Sparkpeople, and am now exploring the different groups I joined last week.

I am a mother of three boys (2 are grown but are reluctant to ever leave my home). We live in So. CA and I love to read. I just finished a book I found when I was walking my dogs "Runaway Jury" and enjoyed it (although guessed what would happen by the 2nd chapter.) Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and see if any of you have mastered walking on the treadmill while reading. I can't seem to do it, I feel off balance.

I have 10 lbs. to get back off, but I'd be happy if I could take 20 off. Three years ago, I took off 35 lbs. doing weight watchers, so I know if I set my mind, I will do it. However, now that I'm peri-menopausal and approaching 50 (in 22 days :-( ) it is MUCH tougher to get it off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
