Today I went to the gym and did 20 minutes of the cardio program on the treadmill. Felt good to get up and get to the gym.

I've been exercising a lot, swimming a total of 3 days and going to aqua physical therapy twice this week, but sadly I mistakenly put my tracker together the wrong way and water entered into it. I'm heartbroken it's broken. It's lasted for a year in and out of the pool. I feel sort of lost without it in terms of tracking my steps. I'll either somehow fix it or maybe Sparkpeople will send me another one. I'm sort of on the fence about who's fault it is I put it together wrong. They have a rubber gasket inside. I mistakenly put it on incorrectly when it detached from the tracker. Unfortunately, there isn't an explanation of how to put it on in the directions. It's a miracle I knew what it was for! Lol.

I have been such a slacker! I did find some walking workouts on you tube that I try to do when I get home. And I wear my activity tracker daily to track my steps. Its too cold to walk outside. I can't wait for Spring!!

Hey gang!

I did an hours and a half of lap swimming for my swim lesson. I'm taking an advanced stroke class. It's hard, but it gives me a good workout emoticon Plus I noticed my shoulder muscles hurting a few hours after. That's a good sign I'm working muscles I haven't before. It makes me happy :)

Did not do my walk this morning, bad me, it is Sunday and everyone is home it sort of throws me out of wack and off schedule when I have to be quite because everyone is in bed. I get yelled at by my husband if I wake him up when I go out the front door for my walk. So I tend not to go, will have to make up for it

I'm hoping to get a walk in Saturday. I've got my w/o calendar for Feb all filled in and for Saturdays, I try to get a walk with my walkin buddy and another exercise. This month I'm doing Coach Nicole's 28 day bootcamp DVD and on the days that don't have a work out, I'm doing Coach Nicole's Total Body Sculpting. This way I'm getting in exercise every day!

I just went swimming. I did 10 laps (25 yds) I haven't figured out how to put it into miles. I think 66 of 25 yd laps is a mile.

I hadn't been to the pool in 2 days and my knee was hurting pretty bad. After I swam this evening my knee felt so much better. Tomorrow's day 1 of physical therapy and I'm really glad. I can't believe my knee is this bad. It only has mild OsteoArthritis and I'm hobbling around! Just won't get better on it's own. It's put a damper on my hiking. I was supposed to go hiking on Miami Beach and see all the cool archetecture. Oh well. Next month.

Hi

I like the calendar idea! I'm going to make a changing schedule for the week on the weekend. Thanks for the idea,

I just got an injection in my knee. Don't cry for me it didn't hurt not a bit! I even asked the doc if it was over! LOL.

So that leaves me with upper body exercises for the next two days. No swimming today :( No walking either. Doctors orders. I'm going to play catch with my grandson with my 15 lb. medicine ball. Lol.

Any other suggestions?

I update my goals on a regular basis. I also came up with my own workout routine. Using the calendar on my computer and my DVD's, I've come up with a daily exercise routine. Every day is different. The longest workout is 30 minutes, and the shortest is 15. I've incorporated weights at least 2 days a week. I find that when I put it into what I have to do that day, I'm more likely to do it.

Hi all!

I'm new on this forum. I joined to develop better habits doing 10 min of weight training a day.

To be honest, I didn't do it today. I meant to, but things got in the way.

I think I"ll make a schedule for my 10 minutes weight lifting emoticon

Something I want to do is make a formal resolution. I found what I've been looking for a long time, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Today, I found it! Yay! It's on the start page on the right side. The title is "Goal Board Check In". I check in my motivation board every day, but I never looked at the small type on the right lower side of it. It says, "Personalize my goal board". I thought it meant change the selected photos, but it's much more! It says, "Your Goals and Motivations in Words". It has a space for long and short term goals. It has "Completed goals", "Current goals", "Goal motivators", and then it has "Goal images" and your own personal "goal images".

What more could I ask for!

This puts definition to my life,
