Good Supper bowl Sunday everyone
hard to believe that we are into Feb already.
so far my plan is continue to get my water in each day
the big plan is to complete a challenge from the 4 season team.
The Idita-Walk is an event to promote physical fitness in the spirit of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race. The Iditarod Sled Dog Race is 1049 miles long beginning at Anchorage, Alaska and finishing in Nome, Alaska. To complete the Idita-Walk, simply walk an average of 30 minutes a day for 35 days between February 1, 2015 to March 31, 2015 for a total of 1049 minutes. Any combination of minutes and days will work - just reach 1049 during the 59 day event!
Since its trying to snow here going to have to get my time on the stationary bike before the big game
So off I go have a good day every one

Hey guys!

My goals:

Continue swimming laps 4 days a week and buy the Garmin Swim watch to track it.
Continue advanced swim technique classes once weekly then graduate to masters swim classes 2 days a week.
Continue Tai Chi classes 2/wkly. Practice Chi Gong/Tai Chi 5 days/wkly 20 min/day
Upper body weight training 10 min a day increasing to 20 min a day/3 days a week.
Finish physical therapy end of March then walk 3.5 miles/hr. 2 miles a day, 4 days a week.
Stay on the 1,200-15,00 calorie "Eat to Live" diet plan, because it's really working for me
Make out a weekly meal plan and grocery list by Sunday of each week.

The article is eye opening. Thanks!

The thing that motivated me the most is when I learned obesity can contribute to getting chronic diseases, cancers and other diseases than can lead to death, like Altzheimers. I really want to live and live well.

Thanks :)

My immediate goal I'm working on is to lose 15 pounds before Valentines. Only halfway there so I may not make it, but I'll get as low as I can before my next dr check up for my kidney issues. My plan is to do Curves 3 times a week, Walk Away the Pounds and Chair Dancing videos at least 3 times a week, and get at least 5000 steps each day.

Today is the first day of the rest of my Life.

From the Cleveland Clinic newsletter:
"As a nation, we’re eating about the same number of calories as we have for the past 20 years, yet obesity is on the rise. One culprit? Lack of physical activity. The number of American women who say they never exercise has increased nearly 33 percent in 16 years! For men, the number spiked 32 percent. Luckily, it doesn’t take much to reap the benefits of moving more. Just a few minutes of heart-rate-boosting activity can lower the risk of stroke, colon cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Physical activity lowers symptoms of depression too. Make a “no-more-excuses” pledge to move more! Aim for at least 10,000 steps a day for the most health benefits. Strap on that pedometer and challenge yourself to add more steps each day. Or challenge your spouse, a friend or a co-worker to a walking contest; we’ll leave the prize up to you!"

The best cure for stressing is to count your blessings...and a long walk won't hurt either!

Never give up what you want the MOST for what you want at the MOMENT!

Walking my dog and getting my 10,000 + steps in daily. I'm getting back into my Leslie Sansone walking videos too (started last night) and once I'm back in that groove I'm adding the recumbent stationary bike back in. Once my costochondritis calms back down, I'll try to start back on strength training the upper body but right now that's only making me hurt worse. Eventually get back into using my resistance bands too.

Start with small steps and momentum will build. Celebrate moving in the direction of increased happiness now! With a plan and persistence moving towards your goals all things are possible! Adopt an attitude of gratitude. Be thankful for everything you have. It may not be what you want be show you're thankful for it anyway.
Live, laugh, love and find joy in life, Ramona

I have been following the 10mins motto of getting at least 10 mins of activity in per day - and this year, I'm kicking it up to include more consistent strength training (4 times per week) and cardio 3 times... Walking is unlimited for me - weather permitting. I'm geared up to make 2015 an emoticon year!

It's time to get lean in 2015 . .. .

I have joined the 30 - Day Meta Challenge and the Winter 5% Challenge.

Part of the Winter Challenge is the 7 day boot camp and if we like it go for the 4 weeks.
