Trace glad it looks likes you'll survive the chocolate cake that ate Mooville! Steph continued praise for all your good deeds in the community!

Today I am thankful for:

*not having a bad accident in the rain Tuesday. Some kid pulled out in front of me and I was so sure I was going to hit him broadside, I actually visualized the wreckage. At the same time my quick reflexes were working and I somehow missed him by an inch, I still don't believe it.
*joking around with the tellers at the bank!!! I delivered the evil goodies and walked up to everybody, even the poor unsuspecting customers, and offered them baked cookies, lindt chocolate, Scottish shortbread- thank goodness I never over do things! I especially had fun with the horny woman with the great rack- oops! I mean the cute female teller with the fake antlers! *dealing well with a stressful situation yesterday with the crews that really bummed me out. My weak holiday spririts- inside, still jolly outside- were badly shaken, but I talked it out this morning and am doing good planning a Christmas party for this afternoon.
*having the best ball and chain in the world!!! My sweet muffin cakes is my greatest blessing! (Hey, I wouldn't be the rugged, butch guy I was if I didn't complain a little with the whole ball and chain bit.)
*John Lennon's Chrismas Song! and of course the classic 'Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer'.
*the incredibly beautiful Christmas album by Cherish the Ladies- the wonderful all female Irish band.
*my new Christmas album find "Let it Snow Baby...." by Reliant K

***my dear friends at the Thanksgiving Community for allowing me to be the Charlie Browniest Bob of all the Charlie Brown's in the world- yes I'm depressed even now. Between my depression, health, and business problems my thankfullness had about dried up, before Maha tricked me into coming to this group. I still have a hard time being consistent, but you always welcome me back, allow my endless ramblings, and forgive my absenses. Thank You All So Much!!!! take care, santa bob

Ooh, Lynn! I bet Phipps is GORGEOUS this time of year!!! I am SO THANKFUL you got to see it... for me!! (It IS about me me me, right?!)

I am thankful that chocolate cake is about gone...

I am thankful that I slugged down a gallon of water in a vain attempt to wash my sins from the inside out... I've got a day until the full-on food emergency assault begins so maybe I can clean up a little more around here...

Ya think I could possibly be thankful for getting some flippin' sit-ups done around here? Maybe by the end of the weekend I can DO. THEM. TRACE.

*sighs*

I will be thankful if I do...

I am thankful for peace today to get some ends tied up.. a box of chocolate covered cherries that was given to me... an instant too late to get into the box I mailed off to my brother who really loves them (and I do not, sooo.. it's ok for me to re-gift, right?) so I must find a way to get them to Phoenix and fast!... I am thankful for a sunny day and a White Christmas on the days when I don't have to go anywhere... so long as it gets gone in time for me to get back to Mooville again as someone in my office had scheduled an 8:30 for Monday morning... Gah!

Ok, I am thankful someone thinks they need me on a Monday morning...

And I am thankful... again and ever again... for all of YOU!

I'm traveling this evening so I may not see you for a minute... but I am ALWAYS thankful for the moment I get to catch up with all of you incredible people!

HAPPIEST HOLIDAY TO YOU AND YOURS!!!

Appreciating MAHA's shared quote on yet another dimension of experiencing Faith, a rich tapestry that never ends!

-so great to see everyone rich with gratitudes, a product of Faith too!
-a new day, grey and full of promises!!!!!!!! I do have Faith in that!
-my Purrdita who thinks she has to get me up before she can eat her food that is already dished out by Hugs!
-My Hugs, whom I will meet for a wonderful adventure not often had over our 12 years of having first gone to visit Jungle Jim's!
-Reminders of anniversaries long after people did not have faith in the bond made! (thanks for that, LynnAnn)
-thanks for the Faith I have experienced and have to keep praying for, so that I can move forward no matter how slowly......just so it is surely!
-thanks for this,my mother's "birth"day of thinking about the effects of alcoholism on my childhood,AND especially, adulthood, while continuing to become more aware and to grow through these, on this, my mother's birthday, God hold her Soul with tenderness, no matter what.
YOU, and YOU and YOU, ad infinitum.
Peace be with you all.

Late night gratitudes
* The virutal "taste" of fresh bing cherries in the midst of the northern hemisphere winter.
* Long phone conversations with two very special friends today.
* Hearing how well my mom has healed and that she is ready to return to an assisted living facility.
* Seeing how my baby sister has stepped up to help our dad find a new home for my mom (after what we went through in November...a GREAT decision!)
* Feeling well enough tonight to start thinking of alternate plans for Christmas.
* Enough banked sick hours to handle this time off
* DVR and foriegn films.

Tonight, I come to end my day and move into the evening portion by focusing on gratitude as I shift into slow gear ...

-Making positive actions today (actually doing something) to help with a work project
-Latte Land, the only coffeehouse I know of that brews its chai tea fresh for every latte (instead of a liquid pre-mix)
-Good friends, despite the quirkiness
-Amazing success figures from Harvesters food drive at our house concert - (1,471 meals) - WOW!!
-Putting together a heartfelt "thank you" e-mail to everybody who took part in the Harvesters drive
-The true "spirit" of the season - love

Goodnight all ...

Stephanie

Tonight -

My pie from fresh cherries was a success. Cherry loving son proclaimed it "good."

Felt horrid most of the day, but managed to get a lot on my list taken care of

#3 son asked to help me with something and washed some dishes for me

DH and another son cleaned up the living room to get ready for some evening guests

Always greatful for my fan and great bed

p.s. Taz, it is I who am grateful to have been allowed to assist you in the tree putting up and to have felt the privilege to share with you in the moment! Thanks!

Glad to see you around, Reesa! Got your message! Welcome back!

Oh, Stephanie... I only STOPPED eating the head-sized cake piece... when it was GONE!!!

Do not give me credit where none is due!!!

I was in full atonement mode yesterday and am THANKFUL (See? I was able to drag around to the topic at hand...) for the intake of 12 glasses of water or so which my body was very happy to get...

NO cake... I am REALLY thankful for that... there is still a HALF A CAKE in the office fridge!!!! GAH!!!!

I am thankful for the intestinal fortitude to gaze at it and close the fridge door and WALK AWAY!!!!

Mindful cake eating... mindful cake eating... Ommmmmmmmmmm... NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM...

Thankful for being done with the holiday buying of *things* which grates on my nerves more every year...

Thankful for people who say, "What I want for Christmas doesn't come in a box..."

Thankful for the full moon that was practically on the horizon line as I got home last night... big as a barn and shining SO bright... forgiving me for sleeping through my eclipse...

Thankful for Y-O-U!!!

Today I am thankful that SOMEONE got to see my eclipse at 0 Dark-thirty, San!

And I am thankful that Maha's phone ish's are GONNA be fixed one of these days...

And I am thankful for sun and temperatures than ARE SO GONNA be above 30 this week...

and for a chance to get it right-er than I did yesterday as that chocolate cake eating thing was NOT. GOOD.

Jeeze Louise... you know.. I don't feel betetr when I take all my handfuls of vitamins.. but I sure feel like crud when I don't...

I had NO idea how bad chocolate cake made me feel until I didn't eat any and then I did...

Ok, Universe! I GET it.. I GET it...

(Today... this hour... this minute... I can'na speak to how I will feel when I pass the office fridge where I KNOW that cake is lying in wait... Look, Jim... here comes the happy Trace creature... wansdering... unknowing up the hall... she has no way to know that the... ACK! The wild chocolate cake has LEAPT out of the fridge and ATTACHED itself to her bum!!... it is relentless, this cake... a thing to be reckoned with... oh, NO!...)

Uh... I am thankful that cake is going to be eaten today or will go home WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

Then I will be REALLY thankful!

Good cold icy morning, to all of you;
Thankful to waken at 2:30 and realize I still had much anger that I needed to ask help with Letting Go of!
Thankful to be able to journal and in that journaling, this morning, realize I am indeed journeying to a resolution!
Thankful to be able to help my Hugs dig out of the snow, make coffee and breakfast and share some extra time not ordinarily had together
Thankful for his listening to my anger and fear
Thankful for my son reminding me that my plaintive and angry sharings woke him!
--and being reminded in my thoughts of my mixed feelings about the upcoming cochlear implant
My son forgiving me later with a kiss on the forehead as I made coffee for him as well
Thankful for the list of things I took time to write out and have added to today!
And of course, though it goes without saying, as in any relationship, it still should be said:
all of YOU!

Tonight, well very early this morning, I am grateful for...

~ Benedryl... Helped the bad reaction from the strong leg injections I had today for my gnarly veins.

~ A doozy of a nap... True, I slept most of the afternoon from the Benedryl, but that's probably going to put me awake for the lunar eclipse around 2am East Coast time!

~ Returns done.

~ Mom's present's that I wrap for Dad all wrapped and packed to take to Mom's tomorrow.

~ Our Bunky coming home for Christmas tomorrow from SC!

Holy Cow, lookit all the Thankful since I've been out wandering around!!!

Yinz guys are so cool..
I am SO thankful to be able to come here and see you all..

I am thankful for an office full of bizzy... for getting all the presents for all the bizzy peeps wrapped and handed out...

For not snapping the heads off of office peeps who are so bizzy that they are not getting very much DONE!!!

Erm...

I am am thankful it is not as cold and freezing as it has been and thankful that one of these days it will be hot and sweaty again and THEN I better be thankful, you bet!

I am thankful for the heat in this house, the birdseed in my cellar that has sometimes found its way to the feeder because the birds are VERY thankful when that happens...

I am thankful for way to much food including the chocolate cake that found its way into my mouth and I am thankful I knew enough to only eat a piece the size of my head before I stopped...

mostly because I had fallen into a deep, deep sugar coma which is all that saved me from a billion calorie day and I am thankful that DID NOT happen!

Great work writing the Christmas cards for the prisoners, ladies!!! Wonderful that you saw the Eagle, Hawks, etc. Lynn so glad your pain is better, and wonderful news your daughter got into such a wonderful school! Reesa, way to go getting up and out and adding a massage to boot!

Today I am thankful for:

*a day good enough to plant and work. We are close to our Holiday deadlines if the weather holds.
*the teller who remembered me, with a present. It was cookies, which I was happy to give to my employees and see how happy they were eating them, but not half as happy as I was receiving them.
*a long talk with my sister. Our relationship has been a bit strained, but we had a great "girl" talk today for a mere 1 1/2hrs. We talk about everything (I think I have said, she says it's like talking to one of her girl friends), and it didn't have the tension of the last few years.
*my lady foreman being back from another ill timed vacation. She is soooooooo much more detailed than the guys, it's such a help.
*another good day of light eating.

take care, bob ps. Trace, nice weather we're having, read any good books lately, uh, uh, hope your cable went out Sunday......

The foundation of greatness is honoring the small things of the present moment, instead of pursuing the idea of greatness.
-- Eckhart Tolle

Good morning! After a great night's sleep I rise with gratitude in my heart. And since Sandra's wonderful giving of thanks expresses my sentiments exactly~~

~ seeing an eagle, great blue herons, many hawks, an incredible red/blue sunset, the full moon on a clear night

~ walking beside the river absorbing the sun and listening to the water lap at the sand

~ the fellowship of an awesome group of women, chattering in the car, laughing around the table at our indoor picnic, writing Christmas cards to women in prison, sharing moments of silence in awe of the sunset and moon rise.

~ What a special way to start this holiday week, taking time to appreciate the fellowship of friends and the beauty of God's creation

~ a day ahead rife with possibilities and a *tabula rasa" to fill

Blessed be!

Gratitudes tonight
* Fever has been down much of the day
* The hot shower I took today (first one in four days!) and a change of nighties
* A tremendous amount of sick and other benefit time available...and an understanding boss who asks no questions related to my many days off of late
* Knowing we have to cancel our trip south for Christmas, and being ok with it, though I will miss seeing all the family. (Stephanie, thought of you and your Thanksgving....)
* TCM and DVR
* Roasted cauliflower
* A husband who's brought me hot tea on several occasions these past few days, without even being asked
