Stephanie...San Francisco? You will be in my neighborhood! NO EXCUSE for not getting together!

And, with that in mind, I express gratitude
* For time to play with my new phone...and realizing I can download books and inspirational quotes, and music and email (Including sparks) and so on. Whew!
* Technology - what a world we live in!
* Watching the sky change from sun to thunderstorms and back again
* Minimal to no foot pain, with Thud now having moved to the closet
* Cute neighborhood boys selling cookie dough for the high school baseball team, and having the option to buy my least favorite kind (M+M's) to bake and send home with grandkids
* Planning a birthday party with a seven year old
* Having two days to telecommute and not to have to drive in to work in the dark.
* Prayer chains that span the continent.

Tonight's Attitude of Gratitude ...

~ awesome day full of high energy, excellent work in multiple areas of my life

~ call from my niece in Michigan - a stay at home mom - and suggesting daily gratitudes for her and her children ... she's going to do them at the dinner table :)

~ yoga class tonight with G-man! Smile!

Today, may I make good decisions that create positive outcomes and may I have wonderful, loving people in my life to share this awesome journey with.

On this Wednesday evening, just a few of my gratitudes:

- Early reports (nothing specific on my godson yet) that none of the CFCA families in Chile have been killed by the quake (still waiting for official word and it might be awhile)
- Chocolate-covered strawberries, with plain pineapple, grapes and cantaloupe (yumyumyumyum)
- Work has slowed down to a normal pace this week
- I've scheduled Friday off for a 3-day weekend!!!
- Making plans with my sister for our annual sister trip (this years looks like it will be San Francisco in August)
- Confirming my intent to graduate and cap and gown order received by my school - WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!
- My sister coming to town for my graduation

Have a great evening everybody -

Stephanie

It feels so natural to come here tonight...nothing forced, nothing fake. With that attitude, I express gratitude...
* For the sound of gentle rain which tonight feels calming and comforting
* For a roof, to keep me dry
* For an inside laundry room
* For not being the only one feeling overwhelmed with a huge project at work.
* For my life with all its ups and downs, my family with all their functional and dysfunctional behaviors, my friends with their quirks and my husband, with his strengths and frailties...wouldn't really want to change any of it.

Today I am thankful that you wonderful people are so tolerant of a new person who came blazing into your midst and promptly began slacking on the thankfulness...

I AM thankful...

~for the chance to get it right one more time today...

~for organic reduced fat peanut butter that let me burn off about 50 calories getting the peanut oil stirred down into it before I scarfed *about* a tablespoon of it! Goll-LEE that stuff is incredible...

~ For remembering to get to the store to pick up the dog food so there will be no insurrection in my house tomorrow morning...

(Like I wouldn't be scrambling these hounds some eggs and making them toast if I'd run out of chow...)

I made it here, Noreen! Day 13!!!

Tonight's Attitude of Gratitude ...

~ this caring community and how we check up on each other when missing

~ spending the day creating

~ planning a difficult conversation with someone today and although it didn't go exactly as planned, got my point across and at least I'm not p.o. anymore

~ G-man agreeing to read John Calipari's book BOUNCE BACK for people who have lost their jobs or other major setbacks, hence the name ... baby steps :) Great book, BTW if you know anyone who could use it.

~ My Sprint to Spring coming along nicely and hitting an all new low on the scale today.

~ Planning 3 small baby step commitments everyday and then owning and executing on them

~ Agreeing to be a co-leader on the Spring 5% challenge team as a means to give back and teach what I know - I had great success on the 5% Winter challenge.

Today I am thankful for the wonderful people in my life:
- My parents, for introducing me to the world one March 2nd (let's not specify how many March 2nds ago), and raising me with joy and compassion.
- My siblings, for becoming dear friends, advisors, and confidantes (despite many childhood trespasses and the fact that they know my flaws all too well : ).
- My husband, for being my true love - at first sight - and since then being dedicated to the work of love: spoiling me properly, hehe.
- My in-laws, for making me feel truly a part of the family.
- My daughter, a sweet, empathetic soul who brings me joy every day.
- My friends far and near, in person or via technology, who help me grow and learn!

today I am grateful for:
-the time to work on my blogs, yesterday! too tired and harried to realize this blessing at the time.
-the opportunity to challenge my color sense and problem-solving today, in both deciding and mixing the colors we will use on the panels for Lent!
-an early start to my day
-knowing already what I will have for both lunch and dinner and having breakfast and lunch tracked!
-the increased access granted under my gym contract, so that I may once again take water aerobics classes, altho I need to travel further to get to them! they are WORTH it! me too! :)

I think over again my small adventures, my fears, those small ones that seemed so big, all those vital things I had to get and to reach, and yet there is only one great thing: to live and see the great day that dawns, and the light that fills the world.
--Old Innuit Song

Good morning!

I'm readying to complete the last homework for today's classes and decided to take a moment to be thankful~~

~ for Tee's indominatable spirit and the stength she has to surmount the challenges each day brings

~ for the morning coffee, just one cup as an experiment with the anxiety symptoms

~ the wisdome of cutting the green tea in half as well and preparing one quart of only herbal

~ at an acupuncturist's recommendation, a doc's app't tomorrow to eliminate any other problems

~ Kathy's good news

Blessed be!

Grateful this evening
* For long consult with doctor and great treatment options and prognosis for hubby!
* For being able to walk in the park after the appointment, and having no residual foot pain!
* For the serendipitous meeting of a priest on our walk, and the subsequent laying on of hands and prayer
* For others' prayers from around the world
* For getting new eyeglasses ordered. Two weeks and I can see again!
* For getting new cell phones (and yes, we splurged) so that I don't lose every call
* For hope, which seems to have been hiding in my back pocket these past few weeks...

Popping in, in between house chores and garden tasks, to express gratitudes for ~

- restorative sleep
- chest congestion easing
- the finer distinctions between chores and tasks
- meditation time in the garden
- March 1st
- bleeding hearts up high enough they needed to be caged today
- the tenaciousness of mints (pepper- and spear-) taking over a shady, previously weed-filled, slope below an ancient oak
- 'unloading' eight boxes of books via Freecycle, and for Freecycle
- dinner plans

Off to wash floors -- one of my least favorite chores!

It's March! Spring is on its way.

Finding the strength and courage to adjust my objectives as needed to match my priorities.

When the gym was locked this morning, inspiration came to do a resistance-band workout, so instead of frustrated I feel strong and positive.

Gratitudes:

THAT I REMEMBERED TO COME HERE AND POST FOR MARCH INSTEAD OF POSTING IN FEB. ***BEFORE BEING REMINDED*** (must be the fish oil, or maybe I'm soooo happy FEB IS GONE!!!)

that I found a perpetual calendar and I don't have to make one! (found it at AC Moore in the wood section and it cost around $5)

that my daughter loaned me her tuner so I can practice and hopefully finally learn how to read music

for a really helpful dvd about landscaping

(if any of you in the mid-atlantic region has had any landscaping done recently, could you send me a spark mail so I can ask about your experiences?)

for NEGATIVE pap smear results!!

I am exeedingly grateful for our neighbor who came and plowed our driveway yesterday and would not accept money from my husband. He did accept a bottle of the hubs homemade wine. He was the same angel that showed up a week or so ago.

A great, gentle, big hearted person. :)

In addition to reading the wonderful postings that show up daily on our threads, there are several other places one can go online to get inspiration and encouragement to maintain an "attitude of gratitude"

You can subscribe to daily emails through several websites. Here is February 28th's, "Daily Dose of Gratitude" These particular emails have a little different twist than many of the other ones I see. They often include and example or a question...simple, but always calling for some kind of reflection or action related to "thanks-living". (Don't you love that term? One of my sparks friends uses that often.)

Be grateful for your beliefs and values. They serve as compass points in your life. What are some of your strongest values? How well does your life align with those values today?

Enjoy this day!
