It seems to me, I read it a few years ago. I just thought this was simplistic and not such her style of writing , but I really can't recall any details at all.

However, if the group wants a book discussion group, I'd contribute in some way.

Maybe they want something lighter or not so time consuming . That reminds me, I have the brief booklet with her Joyce expressions. They have cartoons i them. it is very well illustrated. If you'd want to put one up a day, other could try and figure out the application meaning... if anyone is interested.

As a matter of fact, if you could do one of those survey's, you could find out what others want to get more involvement.

We have one free app, that we send out questionnaires for several functions.

It appears we may have more people in this group, but I don't know much about the new ones. emoticon

May 23 is National Lucky Penny Day -

Have you read Joyce's book, The Penny?

Jenny Blake has a theory about life: big decisions often don't amount to much, but little decisions sometimes transform everything. Her theory proves true the summer of 1955, when 14-year-old Jenny makes the decision to pick up a penny imbedded in asphalt, and consequently ends up stopping a robbery, getting a job, and meeting a friend who changes her life forever. The ripple effect that begins in the summer of the penny goes on to bring new life to the people around them, showing how God works in the smallest details. Even in something as small as a penny.

I'd like to see us start a new book discussion, especially if we can get several team members comments/participation.

What book(s) would you like to begin discussing?

Honestly I haven't read much of her books but I am crazy about her. I did read "Battlefield of the Mind" and "Me and my big mouth" both of which I loved.

I have a sad and funny story about "Me and my big mouth". My husband (we were not married at the time) bought a copy of "Me and my big mouth", gave it to his mother and told her to read it. She took her cigarette, put it out on the cover (shoved the cigarette into the book cover) and handed it back to him. I wasn't there. He relayed this story to me years after this happened. I can just see her doing that. She wasn't a pleasant person.

I was curious what books everyone finds the most helpful of hers. She has new books out a lot. I really like her Power Thoughts and the Power of Simple Prayer book. I have learned a lot from those.
