This is awesome and I thank you for these notes. I hope you don't mind, but I will plan a thread around this - having a ten minute meeting with self. How powerful is that going to be. Thanks Precious!! and I don't mind be called a kid.

Thank you, kids! (and I do mean that endearingly!) God is really tugging at my heart and blessing my life with a mindfulnes that includes a new level of sacrificial giving that we are all called to do within our unique talents. It is Him who is our ultimate motivation in life. Praise God!

Joyce Meyer is such a great inspiration. She has such a talent for expressing God's truth to her audience. For those of you who heard her message yesterday, you'll recognize her voice in these words and notes I took while she spoke:

The following Joyce Meyer Ministries message aired on Aug 11: a message of healing, trust, expectation and hope:

“If you're negative, grouchy, sourpuss, hard to get along with, critical, jealous, etc, . . . you’re also probably going to be sick.

We need to look at ourselves honestly and stop blaming others.
Hello!?!
How easy am I to get along with?
How easy is it to offend me?
How easy it is to get my feelings hurt?
What am I doing to make somebody elses life better?
How many days of the year do I waste feeling sorry for myself?
Am I jealous of people who have more than me?
Am I judgmental? Am I critical?

You’d be amazed what would happen if you had just one ten-minute meeting with yourself each day!

We can expect and believe in God for healing!”

Proverbs 17:22 Amplified Bible (AMP)
“A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”

Joyce inspired me to huddle the following:
Our joy is connected to our health! (Prov 17:22)

@EHAGFELD Thank you so much for the inspirational post! Whether it be maintenance or still on the journey, we must realize who the owner of this temple really is. Thank you for such an awesome reminder.

Be blessed,
~Debbie

I'm currently in my fifth week of maintenance . . . right at the edge of the two-pound limit which Weight Watchers does not want me to exceed. This has been a bit of a struggle throughout the entire process.

While I list a variety of reasons why I want to loose weight when participating in any SparkTeam Challenge (along with a before and after photo) . . .

. . . the primary reason keeps coming down to the fact that this body of mine does not belong to me and must be respected in a way that would be pleasing to our Lord. This body, my work, and my outreach are all part of my spiritual worship, as well as my personal relationship with my living faith through Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (Amplified Bible)
Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, (20) You were bought with a price [purchased with a [a]preciousness and paid for, [b]made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; (20) you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

May we find joy along our journeys to good health . . . in both the highs and the lows that ensue.

Hey Team,
I keep getting messages that I am missed and I really appreciate it. I do enjoy being Team lead; however, I had to balance my internet time with my very busy life and my very busy life with the internet time. Nonetheless, I am around and I stop by some of the members pages and I also put a note to those who I have not seen a post for the past 6 months. So, please know that I am still here, and as I am lead, I follow.

I have also streamlined my teams and I also suggest that to you as well. For me, I joined teams that I thought were very interesting and yet realized that I did not have the time or energy to stay on that team, and felt I was doing a disservice to the team and me.

I am very blessed and grateful for your prayers – there is much that has happened in my life. God is really working it out with my employer and also me. While the situation was uncomfortable, it all required of me to do things differently. Please share your prayer request for me as team lead, there will be no judgment. We are all encouraged to pray for one another, so let us do so. If you feel that you do not want to post it, send me a private message for intercessory prayer.

We are getting into the 'POUNDS ON SEASON' on season – Halloween and the Holidays. Beginning September 10, 2011 thru December 31, 2011 – It will be an initiative entitled ‘CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE’. Instead of gaining weight, or making food a social event, we will use this initiative to find ways to eat food for Fuel and make the lifestyle change that will allows us to reach our weight goals and improve our QUALITY OF LIFE. There will be weekly suggestions, and some prizes as well. I am working on the guidelines now.

I don’t know about you, but I am tired of doing this dance I do. Yes, I have lost quite a bit of weight and I am able to wear clothes in smaller sizes, but alas, I need full health improvement, a smaller waist and no diabetes Type II, which is clearly food related, hypertension and a host of other things under those umbrella’s. God has given us life and wants us to enjoy it abundantly. We are a chosen people, a royal priest hood and a Joy to behold. We are God’s gift to one another. emoticon
