I am home from a great therapy session and I'm still doing laundry. I have the last load of sheets in the dryer and quilt in the washer.

Cathy, We all deserve a lazy afternoon from time to time. I know that you will get all of your work done and in good time also.

Lainie, I got the gist of what happened from Cathy's post and I am so very sorry. I will look at your Facebook page later. My heart breaks for Rocky and for you because it is your son that is hurting and I know that it hurts you

Good afternoon, my dear friends,

It's been a busy couple of days. And about the time I sat d. own to look at the computer last evening, my Mom called. We had a lovely talked and it was so fun. She and Dad are doing really well.

Lainie, I'm so sorry. I saw your status post on your page and I keep praying for you and for Rocky. May he have a safe flight back home. He'll work through this and he'll be OK. Better that he find out now and move on.

Veronique, I'm so glad you have your driving privileges back and are being wise to take it easy today after your busy day yesterday. Oh that I would always listen to my body!

Shannon, I hope you get to have your fun with your children tomorrow. It does sound like a good time.

That's a lot of laundry, Kathy! I need to get my weekly laundry started. But, I have this desire to sit right where I finished my work from home day. LOL! All I've done is swap to my personal computer. Yes, I'm having a lazy afternoon. But, I'll change that soon enough. :)

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I am having a busy day. I finally took the sheets off the bed that Jamie uses and changed those and also the ones on our bed. I am washing all of those, our lightweight quilt, plus two other loads of clothes. I have therapy in an hour, so I will have to leave some of it until I get home. I hope to get a lot of Sparking done today, but it can't come before home responsibilities.

Shannon, I know that you are happy that you got to the gym. I always feel good when I exercise. I hope you get to go to Dutch Village tomorrow with the kids.

Good morning you lovely ladies,
I have been to the gym already and need to go the grocery store and get some things. Working on meal plans for the next two weeks. I am planning on getting up and going to the gym again tomorrow. We are suppose to go to dutch village with the kids but who knows since we have an 80 percent chance of rain.

Lainie glad to hear Rocky made it to chicago and is getting to see hi girlfriend.

Nancy hope you are having a great day.

Hi Kathy, Kitt, Termitemom and every one else.

Veronique, I can imagine how happy you was to be able to drive again. I had to stop driving 16 years ago because the MS causes me to react to things too slowly. Things already happen before I realize it. I do keep it up in case of an emergency, but that would be my only reason to take a chance. Yes, I can imagine how good it feels to have fresh milk and freggies again. These are things we normally take for granted. I hope you get some well deserved rest tomorrow.

Good everning ladies!

Cathy - I hope you had a better day at the office today, and that you will be able to enjoy work from home tomorrow!
Nancy - hopefully you will be able to get to bed early tonight and get a good night's sleep. I am so sorry you are having problems with crows in your garden. To have them steal eggs and baby birds is really nasty. Is there a way you could scare them away and protect yur prize tomatoes?
Barbara - enjoy the week end at your cousin's! I hope the fog will not be a problem on the road.
Kathy - I am so happy you had a good PT session! How many times a week do you go there?
Lainie - yay for Rocky receiving a letter! I bet he was excited. I wish him a great trip.

What a treat it was to get behind the wheel again! I enjoyed every minute of it... I also had a chance to do a small market and it is a great feeling to have fresh milk and veggies in the fridge. I am very tired tonight, so I plan to take it easy tomorrow. I badly need to clean my 3 bird cages, but I will wait until the week end to do it.

Have a good evening every one!

Rocky is on his way to Chicago. They had a 28 minute delay. He flies from Savannah to Charlottte. He has an hour and a half layover in Charlotte and then he's on his way to Chicago. He won't get to the hotel until after midnight. Then he's up early to get on the Naval Base and get a good seat for the graduation. He sent me a link to the live stream so I can watch the graduation. Oh by the way, he got a letter from her today. He was so excited.

I never did get my nap, but that's okay. I will be okay. I have the after dark show set to record if I fall asleep.

Nancy, We don't have many crows around here. If we drive just five minutes away, you are out in the country and there are crows every where. I don't think that I could stand seeing a baby stolen from the nest with the mama bird flying behind crying. One time, a baby robin fell from the nest in the back yard and it really hurt me to see the mama standing beside it trying to do anything to bring it back to life and crying out at the same time.

Kathy, it actually was the 2nd one....the first one had blossom rot on the end. Maybe angry was too strong a word, except that it really was disheartening. When we lived at Lake Anna with the huge garden, Larry hung a crow on a tall pole at the garden and they never bothered the garden again. We don't have a grow to hang, but there sure are a lot of them out here. They steal eggs from the bird nest and then if the birds do make it to hatching, they steal the birds from the nest. We see the mamas/daddy's flying behind them squawking trying to get them to drop the birds. That does make me angry. A tomato is one thing, but little birds eggs and birds shouldn't be. They have been like that everywhere we have ever lived. I guess that is just the way it is.....

Nancy, I am so sorry that the crows got your first tomato. We only have some tiny ones that are a dark green. I can understand why you are angry because I would be also. Nothing tastes better than that first red tomato of the season. I have no idea how to keep them away.

Lainie, I am sorry you didn't get a nap earlier. Sounds like you do need one before you watch your shows. Wishing safe travels for Rocky, and saying a prayer for a safe flight.....I forgot, where is Jazmin? When is Rocky coming home.

Veronique, You might find foods that you can't eat, but so far I have been able to eat anything at all. I guess I am just lucky....

Kathy, it is good that you shoulder felt better after you left p/t.....I am so happy it is helping you.

I have been in the garden pulling weeds.....they have actually taken over. We had our first big tomato to pick today and when I went out, I didn't see it. I asked Larry if he brought it in and he said no. I thought he was kidding, but when I went out, it was on the ground with a big hole eaten into it. Those dang crows got it today. That really makes me angry.......I just hope we don't have a big problem with them. They don't usually eat one, they just go from one to another and make a big hole in it and on to the next one. One year, we had to bring them in a day or two earlier than ready and put on the counter to finish ripening

Cathy, I hope your day at work wasn't too bad or stressful......but at least you are working from home tomorrow.

Lainie, Maybe you will get a little nap after you take Rocky to the airport. I hope this weekend is a wonderful and memorable one for him. Enjoy your Big Brother Live Feed tonight. Thank you for asking about my PT today. It went okay and my shoulder felt a little better when I left.

Hello Ladies!!!

I am so wanting my nap right now, but I need to work. I'm trying to get in my calls before I have to take Rocky to the airport. After I take him to the airport, I need to go to Walmart to pick up some groceries. I need to wash clothes, but I don't have enough detergent. We're getting a little rain now and I would love to lay down and fall asleep to the rain and thunder. I may just take a quick one after I find out what time we need to leave. Tonight is my late night watching Big Brother live feeds. I probably won't go to sleep until 3 a.m. I may have to take a little nap after I get back from Walmart.

Veronique, I'm so glad that you got the okay from the dr. to drive again. I had to wait a month before I could drive. You will definitely find foods that don't agree with you any more. Please take it easy and don't overdo it.

Moya, it's great seeing you here. Sorry about your knee. You fit in just fine here. I think most of us have knee issues.

Cathy, today was an easier day for me with work. I hope your day wasn't too bad. I hope you can find the right chair for your den.

Nancy, my dogs would be just like Reese's was last night. They bark at each other and at other dogs. That's great that he's going through obedience training. Glad you had a great day at the Joint Center.

Barbara, I can't wait to watch Big Brother tonight. Of course, with watching Big Brother After Dark and the live feeds, I know a lot of what has been going on in the house and there has been a lot going on. There are some strange people in the house.

Shannon, great job on the workout today.

Kathy, I wish we could open our windows on cooler days. There are just too many critters around, mainly lizards. They get in the house very easily. I live in an AC environment most of the year. Hope your PT went well today.

Please pray for a safe flight for Rocky tonight!! Hope everyone has a great evening!!

Hugs,

Lainie

Kathy, good that you and Jim got the house cleaned this morning. I hope your p/t session goes well for you today. Reese's does so well when we walk him, but at that store last night he really wanted to smell everything. Then when we were almost done, she said take two laps around the store and he did everything right.......lol...

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Jim and I cleaned the house this morning and he washed the windows and screens for me. That is a wonderful thing, to have clean windows. There is no rain for awhile, so it was a good time to wash them. I have PT this afternoon and I am optimistic that I will have a good session.

Moya, It is nice to see you here today. Yes, we do lots of chatting here and sometimes it is hard to keep up with. I am sorry about your knee issues. Knees can cause so much pain.

Shannon, Wow, you did have a great workout at the gym this morning. WTG!

Barbara, Have fun at your cousins' house this weekend. I hope your PT goes well.

Cathy,I am sorry about some of the codes and hope that your team can find a solution quickly and this won't drag out. Are you planning on looking for a new chair this weekend?

Nancy, I laughed at Reeses class last night. This is a great way for him to learn how to interact with other dogs and people. It sounds like he is doing great! I hope you enjoyed your morning at the Joint Center.

Barb, no laundry for me today b/c I wasn't home. I have 2 loads (probably) tomorrow. I hope you have a great visit with your cousin in the city this weekend.

Shannon, you make me tired reading what you did today.Good job.

I was really busy at the joint center this morning (which is good). Actually stayed busy every minute......I am tired today again.....I have not been going to bed as early as I usually do so I will need to remedy that. Reese's is lying here on the marble at the fireplace, I guess b/c it is so cool. It is a dreary day with no sun, but it is very humid. Larry is working putting some shelves up for Deborah in her storage units so I took him lunch when I got home from the center. Have to figure out what is for dinner. I am thinking a stuffed tomato with a side dish.

Hello lovely ladies,
Had a nice kick butt workout at the gym lol. We did tire flipping, wall balls with a medicine ball, goblet squats, elliptical intervals, chest flys and triceps pushdowns. Then of course I got on the bike after all that. I burned 400 calories at the gym and so far my tracker is calculating my steps today.

Good morning everyone, had 2 small loads of laundry to get done. We have thick fog, really bad today, I'm not seeing any sign of it clearing away.

I plan on going to the city this weekend to stay with my cousin, I have therapy tomorrow and will go from there. Will be home on Sunday.

Moya, so sorry you suffer with knees also, my xrays show advanced osteoarthritis, so I'm sure cartilage in my knees are going. I wonder why they say you are too young to operate.

Nancy, sounds like Reeses is learning at his training sessions. Enjoy joint centre today.

Last lunch, work week is almost over Cathy.

Lainie, hope everything turns out for Rocky, I'm sure he is getting over-excited. Watched BB last night, getting good.

Veronique good doctor report, just keep resting and healing.

Veronique, it was very nice talking with you last evening. I am so happy your reports at the doctor were good. You will need to just take it easy for a while until you get your strength back. I am happy that you can now drive Philippe now and go to the market. Continued prayers for your continuing recovery.

Moya, I am sorry you are having trouble with your knee without being able to repair at this stage of life. I am so happy you stopped by.....that was a lot of posts to read. Please come for a chat again soon.

Cathy, I smiled when you talked about your last lunch in the fridge making you smile. I am sorry there are some problems found with the codes in your release. Hopefully it will be something that can be fixed quickly and all will smoothly.....It is good thatyou have an idea of what type of chair you are looking for. Sometimes though it takes just seeing it and saying, "that is exactly what I have been looking for" even if it didn't surface in your thoughts before. I hope you day goes well.

Reese's class was a little loud last evening. He was hyper and so was the other dog in the class. "josie" would bark and then Reese would bark and then went on pretty much of the time. We took Reese's over to the other end of the room and did some walking and reinforcing what he learned this week (he did well on that). He an Josie both had too much energy for trying to learn. Last night's lesson was walking loosely on a leash through the store and to make them sit when someone comes in the door. He did well on the door (surprise) but walking in the store he kept wanting to sniff all of the bags of food and everything else. The trainer said he was doing all of the sniffing looking for a place to potty, so Larry took him outside......and that was a good thing b/c he had a lot of water. She suggested we bring him early next week and walk him through the store before class. He did very well on his last 2 laps around the store before leaving. He really does well on the leash when walking, but the store had too many things and he wanted to "pull"......the new harness helps keeps him from pulling.

Got to get ready for joint center.....will chat later.

Good morning, ladies,

Glad you stopped by, Moya! It is a job sometimes to keep up with all the chatter. LOL!

Veronique, what a great report from the surgeon. I'm glad things are back to "normal" for you. You'll listen to your body and sit down when it tells you to because you'll feel better. And you'll feel worse if you don't. Philippe will help you remember this if you falter! :) That was a good sized stone you had! I'm so glad it is gone!!

Hope Reese's class went well last evening, Nancy. Enjoy your day at the joint center.

Lainie, hope today is a calmer day for you. And I'm hoping for the same thing for me! LOL! I was pulling my lunch out of the fridge this morning to put in my lunch bag and smiled. The last lunch in the fridge. I always like that. The signal that my week in the office is ending and I can work from home tomorrow. That's always an easier day. We've hit a snag in our release. Everything we are working on is fine but now that we have some new code in production, clients are finding some issues with it and we have to fix it so we'll post-pone this release to get that code fixed. New enhancements always have this risk and we hope that our beta clients find it but sometimes it takes going to production for all the bugs to come out.

Last night, I looked online a little at chairs. I think I know a bit about what I want to go in the den. That's a good thing. Now I can narrow my focus when I go into a store. I really do like how I arranged my bedroom. It worked nicely for me last evening and again this morning.

Have a lovely day everyone!

~ Cathy

Veronique, How wonderful that or Nancy called you tonight. I know that was a very special treat indeed! I am more than happy with how well your doctor appointment went. You are just going to have to let your body tell you what it will allow and what it won't. I am glad that you have Philippe to do your lifting for you and to help you out. Hello ladies!

Post-op visit this morning: the surgeon is allowing me to drive and to resume my normal life, although very slowly. No exercise and no lifting anything over 10 pounds until the end of the month. The biopsy was negative, and I am very relieved as you can imagine. They found gangrene and thickened walls on the gallbladder, and a stone measuring 6 cm x 4 cm x 3 cm. Fatigue is due to general anesthesia and should disappear if I continue to take it easy. I can eat anything, but my body will tell me if it likes it... i.e I must be prepared to find foods that will not agree with me.
So, all in all, very good news. And I will be driving Philippe back and forth tomorrow, and doing my grocery shopping with his help (he is wonderful).

Finally, special treat for me tonight: a very nice phone call from Nancy! Thank you agan Nancy, you made my evening!

Lainie, glad your nap helped. I will be happy when Rocky does the proposal on Friday and she accepts and everyone will feel better.

Cathy, He did like Larry kicking the ball. Outside he was more interested in eating grass than anything. He played with that ball in the sun room/family room for a long time. I guess if he needs a playmate, it will be me or Larry........no more poochies.....lol Glad you got the meeting with your Director and got some things settled. Boy you were sure busy after you got home with moving furniture. I think anytime we move or get new furniture, we have to find the right spot and it may take moving things around. So happy you are doing so much in your home and enjoying it. Now on the look out for a chair.

Cathy, I think you and Kathy are right about why you moved the furniture.....so you could go buy more.

Tomorrow, joint center so I am heading south. Reese's class was this evening and I am running late.

Kathy, you caught me! That's the only reason I'm moving furniture is to find a reason to buy more. emoticon

Lainie, Enjoy watching Big Brother tonight. I can't figure out which you like more, Nascar races or Big Brother. lol

Cathy, I am glad that you have your bedroom arranged so that you like it better. You got in some great exercise and now you have an excuse to go shopping again since you need another chair for the den. lol

I wish we'd get a thunderstorm too, Lainie. Maybe you could send it up my way. We haven't gotten any rain at all. So much for 60% chance! But, the evening isn't over yet! :)

Hi Shannon! So good to see you!

Lainie, hope you had a good nap and get things confirmed easily enough. Sweet Rocky! I do hope Friday gets here soon and he settles down. The anticipation must be so hard for him. I'm sure she'll say yes and be so delighted with his proposal.

Kathy, I'm glad you had a lazy reading day! I love those so much and will take one whenever I can get it.

Nancy, I loved the pictures and video of Reese's on FB with his new toys. He loved when he had a playmate so I'm thinking that one of you needs to always be playing with him or you need to get him a companion. LOL!

Hope you are feeling better this evening, Barbara. And that your knee cap is staying put!

I had a really busy day. Finally had a meeting with my Director this afternoon. He answered my questions and asked me why it was that I was having to do this work. I laughed and said because he assigned this project to me about 18 months ago. He laughed too. I'm not surprised he's forgotten. He has two children who are very ill. He has a lot going on.

I moved furniture this afternoon when I got home. I decided I would like my bedroom better if I had the bed on one side so that it was the bedroom area and moved the chairs, the violets and added a round table to the other side of the room for a sitting area. I measured this morning and there was enough room to turn the bed so I got it all done this afternoon. It was a chore, but I did and I washed the sheets while I had the bed torn apart. I really like it too! And now, I need a chair for the den. I pulled a table and chairs out of the den. I put the table in my bedroom and the two chairs in the spare bedroom. So, I left an empty spot in the den. But the furniture I moved looks really nice where I put it. I like it better where it is. I'll keep looking for just the right chair.

That nap was just what I needed. I feel so refreshed now. We had a thunder storm while I was taking my nap. I love thunder storms and I fell asleep right away. Big Brother comes on at 8 p.m. tonight. I'll be able to watch the first 15 minutes and then pause it and do my first round of confirming. I'll get in more steps running back and forth from my bedroom to my office.

Nancy, it's just nerves with Rocky worrying. She said in one of her letters she couldn't wait for them to make it official. Rocky is a worry wart just like his mom. lol I'll have to check out Facebook to see the video and pictures of Reese's playing.

Kathy, glad to hear you're feeling better.

I see you were there to see Reese's. The thing for the kibbles he has already got teeth marks in it. I guess maybe I should not have given it until I put the correct thing in it so it would fall out and he wouldn't chew the wobbler.

I am glad that Reeses got two new toys and I hope that he can keep these in one piece. You are right, he is going to get very excited when you get kibbles for the kong wobbler. I hope your video can post.

Shannon, good to see you here. Good to plan for two weeks meals.......

Barb, I was thinking you must have a high pain tolerance to withstand that pain. I too have high pain tolerance and sometimes that isn't good b/c we don't go see about things when we should.

Lots doing laundry, but not me today.........yay.

Lainie, I am so sorry Rocky is so upset and anxious. I hope she does accept the proposal b/c it would really be upsetting if she doesn't....why does he think she might not.......just worry. I am sure you will feel better when this proposal is done on Friday. It is nice of you to help out AnnMarie.. Hope you nap is refreshing.

Kathy, glad you day has been relaxing with a new book....you need to still take it easy until you are all well.

Reese's got two new toys today and has been having such fun with them. One is a 10" ball that is supposedly indestructable and the other is a KONG wobbler. You put Kibbles in it and it has a small hole that when it is rolled around they come out. I still have to get the Kibbles, but I put some halves of his treats and he is just rolling it around like crazy...the treat won't come out b/c they are too big.....but it is keeping him occupied. Just think what he will do when I get the kibbles and they come out as he rolls it around. He will be so excited. I took a video of him in the yard playing with the ball and I am going to see if I can post it. Cathy had a hard time getting hers to post, so I may not stand a chance of getting one to post We will see.

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I have pretty much of a lazy day. I am feeling a little better again today, so that puts a smile on my face. I started a new book this morning and got totally caught up in it and forgot about everything else.

Cathy I really like the way that the design of your vertical garden is put together. I was also wondering about watering them. I think you started something here when you bought yours and posted a picture of it.

Shannon, It was nice to see you post today.

Nancy, You will probably buy a wall garden before I do. I am still trying to think where I would put one. I liked your latest pics on facebook.

Lainie, Maybe Rocky will hear from Jazmin today. At least he got to have a few words with her on facebook. I can understand why he is nervous, but Friday will be here before he knows it.

Barbara, I am sorry that the knee cap was out again. I understand what you mean about a high tolerance for pain. I am fortunate to have that also because we couldn't keep functioning if we gave in to every bit of pain that we have. Knee pain is a very hard pain to endure and I am sorry.

Hello Ladies!!!

Rocky is driving me crazy. He's so worried about Friday. He was very upset that she didn't call him yesterday. He only chatted with her for a minute on Facebook. Apparently, he was suppose to get a letter which will allow him to attend the graduation. Jazmin did give him the pass code to attend and that should be okay. He's just so nervous. Of course, he's also afraid that she will turn him down when he proposes. I keep telling him to be positive. I had him re-read all her letters, which seemed to help a little. He has made himself sick with worry. I will be glad when it's all over and done with.

Today is a long work day for me. I'm having to confirm all 4 webinars today. Tomorrow AnnMarie will confirm the 7:00 for me and her normal 9:30. She has a special function to attend today and that's why I'm confirming her 9:30 tonight. I'm getting ready to take a little nap soon, otherwise it will be so difficult for me to work that long.

Veronique, I hope you have good news from the dr.

Cathy, thanks for setting up the new chat thread. I was going to suggest that yesterday, but forgot. I love your wall garden. I was wondering the same thing about watering it. I would imagine you will need to check the wall periodically to make sure there won't be moisture or mold damage.

Nancy, I hope you were able to fix your potted plant that fell a couple of times.

Barbara, that's crazy that your knee keeps going out like that. I'm glad the dr. helped you. Don't forget to watch Big Brother tonight. There's a lot going on in the house and I'm wondering just how much CBS will show.

Shannon, it was great seeing you here. Have fun with laundry! lol

Well, it's time for my nap. I can't stop yawning. Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!! Take care!!

Hugs,

Lainie

I wish I knew when it went out, the therapist says I have a high tolerance for pain, but I think after 20 years of having such painful knees I must take it all in stride.

Cathy that is interesting how you water your wall garden. They certainly have thought of everything.

I am also doing laundry, you have a great day too.

Barbara, so sorry you knee was out again. I am glad they were able to put it back....could you not tell it was out or didn't it hurt when it went out?

Veronique, I hope you got good news at the doctor today.

Cathy, I knew there had to be a "slow" way to water and it does sound as if they thought of everything. At what kind of store did you purchase it? It really is beautiful.

Thank you, Barbara. I really enjoy my sunroom. For the first month or so, I hardly went out there at all. Now, I find myself there every day.

Glad you have your knee cap back in place. I know that has to feel better, Barbara. Hope it stays put this time!

Nancy, in the top of the vertical garden, behind the rock front, is a container where I can pour water in. There are three little holes in the container that let the water drip into the garden. It drains slowly through the garden. In the bottom, behind the rock below the plants, is a chamber where extra water can sit. If it gets too full, there is a plug that I can pull out and drain it. They've thought of it all!

hi everyone.

Been for therapy today, my knee cap was out again, slipped back into place and had accupuncture

waiting for our insurance man to come for Shannon to sign papers.

Veronica, sorry about your set back, praying for healing and quick recovery.

Cathy, I am glad the sink hole was repaired and that the noise didn't keep you awake last evening. I am trying to figure how you are watering the vertical garden w/o it running out. I think I might go to the landscape place up the road to see if they have any and just look at it. Yours is really beautiful

Cathy, thanks for making us a new chat thread. I remember a long time back that Lori made us a new page b/c there were problems posting.

Veronique, I am sorry you had a set back and I hope today finds you better. Your visit with the doctor today may shed some light on why you are still feeling so tired.....maybe it is completely normal since you had so much trouble right after your surgery. Hopefully, you will be able to drive, but can someone get you some groceries if you can't.....Even if you can drive, someone should go with you to carry things and to get the groceries into the house. I am sure Philippe will help if you go while he is home. Sending a prayer that you are better really soon.

Good morning, all,

Veronique, I was hoping you would move through your days of healing without having these bumpy days. Praying that today is a day of feeling well and getting good news from the doctor. May he give you back your driving privileges and routine activities using your good judgement. What a feeling of accomplishment that is! Just getting the kitchen stocked again feels like you have done something wonderful. But the grocery shopping is exhausting. I think it's walking on that concrete floor!

Kathy, I really am glad that I bought THAT vertical garden. It was really easy to work with and my hope is that it does indeed water as easily as it seems that it will. I cannot see how it will fail.

The rain is supposed to move South today and find us. I'm glad I'll be in the office when that starts. And they worked all night to fix a sink hole on a big road above me. I could figure out what the noise was when I went to bed. Then, when I was opening the blinds this morning, I looked out and spied a dump truck way up on the big road. I remembered hearing about the sink hole a couple of weeks ago. I bet that is what they are doing ... the permanent repair. I went on to sleep without it hindering me but I could not figure out what in the world it was last night. Certainly not a noise I was accustomed to!

Have a nice day everyone!

~ Cathy
