Hi Veronica! Wow you've lived in so many places ^_^. Do you have a favourite place? I've been going dairy light for the past week, I'm trying to see if that would help improve my skin, so far the easiest part is just subbing in coconut milk for regular milk in my smoothies. I really like almond milk but my boyfriend is allergic so I don't buy that any more since he has smoothies with me. What made you stop being a vegetarian?

Hello! I'm Veronica, new to the team. I'm originally from Brighton, England, but I've been in the US for a long time. Currently living in Creswell, Oregon (Population 5000-ish) with my new husband. I've lived lots of places, including New York City, Washington DC, North Carolina, Denver Colorado, and Phoenix, Tucson and Casa Grande in Arizona. I'm hoping I never have to move again. My husband has lived here all his life, so I don't think I'll be going anywhere.
I'm trying to reduce the meat in my diet, but for now I'm not ready to give up dairy. Maybe later. My husband is not vegetarian, so I basically try to eliminate meat from breakfast and lunch. I was ovo-lacto-vegetarian for 17 years. That was a long time ago.
Right now I'm reintroducing tofu into my meals. I actually quite like tofu. I mix it in my yogurt or mash it into cottage cheese. Nice low-calorie protein.

@Richard - The internet is great! Every time I need to know something or clarify or someone I know needs information I tell them to google it. Google knows all :P. And you get to meet so many people from all over the world through the internet, it really makes the world a smaller place :). Not to mention all the recipes I find. So many awesome food blogs.

@RUNNERSTEPHE - Hi! I was in Cleveland for a week a few years ago for a book lovers/writers convention, it was late Spring and very pretty there. I've never been to Nebraska, is it nice there? What would be the reason for your move?

because of mobility issues, it would be extremely difficult for me to travel these days. i take a lot of solace, with being online these days and deriving enjoyment and interest from what other people are doing.
also with the internet these days, the world has become a lot more accessible and smaller place.
it is easy to find information on just about anything, even if not present to experience in person.
cheers richard

You're welcome :).

Yeah me either. I don't know how the waters feels when you are on a big cruise but when the sea is rough in the main dock area the cruises go to an alternate port where the water is calm and because there are no tourist shops or restaurants in that area you have to take a bus (lots of buses be there waiting for passengers) to where you want to go. It's just less convenient and more expensive since you have to take a bus instead of just walking around town like usual.

@RKOTTEK - Thanks I'll remember that if I ever get the chance to travel there ^_^.

If you guys ever want to travel here now would be the best time, the weather is perfect. Mid-December to April it's cool and not too hot but I warn you to be tentative when taking a cruise because waters might be too rough for you to dock in the regular port where all the shops and restaurants are (fly in).

The best time to visit Australia are probably our Late Summer to Autumn(March to May) or Spring to mid-Summer September to December.
Just Google when school holidays are, so you dont pay excessive accommodation.

@Karen - Sounds hectic but also like lots of fun. The roads in main town area here are blocked off for parade and street dances but the festivities only last the weekend.
@RKOTTEK - I've always wanted to visit Australia too, When would be the best time in the year to visit Australia?
@Vicki - That's so cool! Did it get very loud? I know being near the airport when the planes take off can get noisy so I imagine rockets launching wouldn't be so quiet.

KDGIRL why not consider a holiday to Australia.
We are into the last part of our Summer which is Generally the warmest.
Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia & West Australia all boast great wineries.
Melbourne and Sydney have world-class restaurants and general fine dining.
Visit the dolphins at Monkey-Mia in Western Australia.
Tasmania has breweries, wineries, whiskey makers, trout farms, truffle farms, wilderness, lakes and great seafood.
There are lots of other attractions. Look online

Well there are an awful lot of parties going on during Fiesta - but there are parades, oyster bakes, black tie parties, concerts - something for everyone no matter how old or young or what your interests are.

Most of it is downtown, and the traffic is horrible. The Riverwalk is so crowded, so we usually skip a lot of the crush, but we enjoy the parade since the World Famous Fightin' Texas Aggie Band is always marching!!

I'd love to go downunder some day. I've read quite a few books set in Australia, and it seems like a great place to visit. And I'm sure living there is great too!!

I'm originally from So. Carolina but now live in Titusville, Florida, where many of those that worked at Kennedy Space Center lived. From our house we could watch the launches.
