Cyndie, Truex came in 17th. :( He's not having a very good year so far. Isn't going to stop us from rooting for him though.

Greg originally wanted meat loaf for the race then changed his mind and wanted chili dogs. Either one was fine with me, so we'll have the meatloaf today. :)

I did reach my goal twice, but gained again. It's really hard to maintain, even more so than eating right. I could still stand to lose another 10 to 15 pounds again. I try, but the older you get the harder it is. :(

Susi, I enjoyed my time with my parents. A couple of nights away from home is about all I can expect from Jimmy.

I have to agree with you, I do enjoy my unSpark friendly foods. That's why I've never made it to my goal weight!

Speaking of food, what was on the race day menu? And as always, thank you for information on Truex!

Enjoy the last of your weekend!

Hugs!

So far Truex is in 9th, but it's only the 2nd round of 3. Hopefully he can at least stay in the top 10.

Dawn texted me a little while ago and they made it to Cancun. :) She promised me they would enjoy every minute of it. :) It's the anniversary trip they couldn't go on yet this year and Mark got the okay from the doctors. :)

After I got my cleaning done this morning I opened several windows and some and the slider door in the sunroom too. I love how fresh it feels in here! :)

Cyndie, I love that your folks enjoy getting the love from us too! :) Bummer you only got a few days with them but I know you loved every second of it! And besides, I missed you! :)

I have to say this, but who cares about spark friendly especially when you're on vacation or a trip? Hehe! I sure don't let it bother me. LOL!

I'm glad you had so much fun! It's so nice that Jimmy and your dad enjoy playing pool together like that!

Since Melissa doesn't come in, or at least not much, I think Missy forgot about posting a new thread. Hehe!

Fingers crossed for Truex!

Susi, thank you for the welcome home! It was great seeing my parents! They were happy to get the Pine Valley love! I'm happy to hear that Greg had a happy birthday!

Missy, when it comes to birthdays, I guess that all's well that ends well! Good job by Younger Cub salvaging things! I hope that your Friday went well!

We had a great time with my parents! Jimmy put some hub caps on for my dad, and they played pool. My mom and I shopped, and of course, there was un-Spark friendly dining!

I can't believe it's time to start the April thread! Go, Truex! Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!

Missy, Greg was tickled and said thank you! :) It surprised him. Yesterday at the pharmacy I went in and this one gal we tease with a lot went out to the lot and sang happy birthday to him. LOL! It was so cute. :) He loved that too. :) And he sure did enjoy a hunk of that cake! :)

There's only 4 Veterans at the home, but they ask others if they want to participate. :) It looked like about a dozen or so of them did. They took them out in their wheel chairs and had chairs for the ones who could walk. It was really touching to see them out there. :)

Nope, wasn't surprised at all about the snacks. LOL! It's not going to hurt him to go without now and then. They do have free snacks 3 times a day so he can get something from them if he wants it that bad.

I know you will enjoy the show tonight! Have fun! :)

That was awesome the nursing home had them come out and show their respects. I'm sure it meant a lot to many of them. So glad your dad was there too!!
As for the snacks, hee hee. I guess you weren't surprised. Glad you had a good visit!

Yeah, Papabear tired I guess. It wasn't his fault the poster was *rap! But he never jumped in to replace the gift, though he did get me a gift for Older Cub, who never does, so I guess that could of been my gift. BUT, I'm happy to be going tomorrow night! Little Cub didn't remember me asking for the comedy tickets for a gift, he just saw it in the paper and told me about it and said we should go "since it's my guy"... hee hee.

Hope you had a good day Susi!
I'm sure Auntie Cyndie and Jimmy are having a nice visit! Can't wait to hear about it!

Melissa... if you are still out there, home you are having a Blessed Lent! You enjoying the book? I'm on chapter 11. I'm reading them with the videos Matthew is doing each day. Hope you like it!

Patti... I know you are out there too. Hope you are doing well. Sending Pine Valley HUGS!

Bonnie, hope you are well! Pam too!! Hugs.

Have a good evening ladies! emoticon

Missy, I can exercise at home. No treadmill, but I do have a exercise bike and it's the kind you power yourself and the handlebars also move with the pedals so upper and lower exercise with it. I do use it but haven't much lately. :(

Dad was pretty good again today. He was out of snacks and we didn't take him any. Hehe! The home posted photos of Joey Collettee's procession going past the home to the cemetery today. They had the Military funeral for him. The home took several of the folks out to pay respects and gave them flags. Dad was there too. I was glad they did that for them. :)

OOPS! No singing and no candles. LOL! If you ever heard me sing you would get the duct tape after my mouth. LOL! We don't do candles so .... Yea, he can have a slice tonight, he lets me on my birthday. :)

Sounds like Papabear messed up on your gift. :( Maybe remember that on his birthday next time. Hehe! No, I know you aren't like that. But wow on LC! He is awesome!! :) Have fun at the show!! :)

I will be praying things go well for LC on his ride along. I'm sure it has to be huge for him to do that! :) I know he will be just fine! He will get to see the underbelly of the town, so to speak and will know more of what it's all about. That's good for him, but still...I will be praying all goes well.

You are really getting ahead on the party! :) You are such a wonderful party planner!

Good morning! Happy Friday!!!

Susi... that's good about your follow up appointment going well. Hoping the pulmonary rehab helps you! That would be awesome! Maybe it'll be something you can continue at home after some point?!!?

Yes, hoping your visit to your dad's today goes well. He still has to be in that "I missed you" time, right?!! hee hee. Praying all goes well. Tell him we say HI!

That Greg... he's silly! No eating the cake before your birthday!!! hee hee I guess he could try the crumbs, but not a piece till there is singing and candles!!! hee hee He's cute... they never do grow up, do they?!!

I heard we are starting our day with sun and ending it with rain. But our weekend is supposed to be beautiful! Hoping! I have Spring fever starting! I actually put our boot rack/tray away this morning! I'm done!

So I'm excited!!! For my birthday, Papabear got me this poster, but it was *rap!!! It was of all the Avengers/actors and was signed. Limited addition my *ss! It looked like they took a picture of the picture and it was cut off and blurry! I think I already told you all about it. ANYWAYS... I returned it and hoping for my money back!!! BUT that means I got no birthday gift.

SO Little Cub came home with an article in the newspaper and it was about Paul Reiser (from Mad About You) doing a comedy show here in our state! I knew about it and asked for it for my birthday! But Papabear didn't listen, and it was forgotten about. Long story short(er)... it's this Saturday and I'm going!!! I'm so excited!!! Thank-you Little Cub!

Speaking of Little Cub, he's doing his ride-a-long Saturday 3 to 11pm! In one of the busiest and craziest cities we have. There is a lot of crime and drugs!!! I know, drugs are every where, but they are bad. So for a good ride-a-long on the ambulance, it's the perfect place, and time frame, but it scares me!!! God has been hearing a lot from me lately!!! I hope all goes well and he does well. He's excited and nervous. ME TOO!

I went out last night and did some shopping for Little cub's birthday party... it's next Saturday. I got foods I could get and set up everything I could... party favors, decorations, what dishes/bowls to use. I feel good! Today it's just LMFP, so hoping to get more done... like my tags, and printed stuff I have to do. Should be good.

Okay, I babbled enough... sorry!
Susi, have fun baking today, hee hee. Greg, have fun "tasting". If I don't get on here in time, Happy Birthday Greg! Hoping it's a wonderful day! I know, it's just another day to you, but it's not! Happy (early) birthday Greg!!!

Good morning! Today we'll visit with dad, hoping he's still in a good mood.

Greg wants me to bake his birthday cake today, I guess he wants to sample it before tomorrow. LOL! It's supposed to rain today so I don't know what he'll get into, but if it stops I'm sure he'll be out putting around LOL!

Missy, it goes like the old saying, any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a daddy. Same with the moms.

I'm so sorry it's been a rough week with LC. I'm glad you had a nice talk with him and it went well. :)

I'm glad the young boy will be okay but it's still a horrible experience for them. :( I bet the one who hit them is so scared and worried. I'm praying for all of them.

I had my pulmonary follow up this morning, it went well. I'm going to go to pulmonary rehab. It'll be 3 days a week but I don't know for how long. It's an exercise thing that helps us get our lungs stronger. I can only hope it will help. :) I don't know yet when they will call me about it.

Morning ladies! Happy Thursday!

Auntie Cyndie... not sure if you'll see this before you leave, but have a FUN safe trip!!! I know you'll have a wonderful time!!! HUGS!

Susi... I agree, even a parent has to earn respect! Any woman can give birth, but that doesn't make them a mother!!! So happy Dawn has turned out okay and NOT like TJ!

For me in HS, the recruiters would be there for like a week at lunch time. They would have the young good looking ones there and many girls hung around flirting. But they would come up to the tables to "just talk" and then got into being pushy. I don't think they were supposed to do that, but did. So like Cyndie said, I'm sure some are good and some are bad.

So this week has been a big "thing" with Little Cub. Not to get into it, but over all it is okay, so no worries. Anywho, when he came home from school yesterday, and before running off to work, we had a good talk! It helped my mood big time! It's hard being the loving mom, the discipliner, the one cooling Papabear's down, doing a job, and running the whole house in between. I don't think Papabear gets it. BUT, the talk went well, so I'm happy! Trying to keep pushing and staying positive!

Susi... that was so sad about your home town hero. God Bless... (hugs)
As for that 8 year old boy in my town and the dad who got hit by the car... the dad is going to be okay and the 8 year old has serious injuries, but will be okay. The 18 year old teenager boy who hit them... the brother/son backing out of their driveway! So sad!!!

Hoping today is full of joy and happiness. Time for some good around here!
Hope you all have a good day! TTFN...

Missy, thank you for the continued prayers for Alec. :) Actually when I was in high school and the recruiters showed up, it wasn't mandatory for us to go and listen to them. It was a voluntary thing and many did, but many more didn't. I sure didn't so I don't know if they were pushy or not. They probably were though.

Dawn gave TJ more than one chance to be a real mom but she just couldn't do it. Every time they would get together TJ would say something to make things bad again. She thinks she "deserves" respect since she is her daughter and that's not how it works. Even a mom has to earn respect from her kids and vice versa.

Thank you Cyndie. :) Have a safe and fun trip and thank you for giving your folks our love!

Susi, that is so sad about your "hometown hero". As for the five generation photo, I'm so happy that you're standing up for yourself. I definitely think you're in the right!

Missy, I think military recruiters are like everyone else, some are honest and some aren't. If people are in high school, they can't sign up for the military without parental consent.

Jimmy and I are looking forward to our trip to Cincinnati. I will definitely take your Pine Valley love with me! "See" you Saturday!

Hugs!

I agree with you about the people who sign up... they know what they are signing up for. I'm also VERY thank-you to them because with out them, there would be drafts and that would be my three boys... who knows, maybe me too now-a-days. So I pray for all of them and thank them from the bottom of my heart for that, and for wanting to risk their lives for our safety!

What I don't like are the recruiters that go to the high schools and talk all this "how great it is", "they'll pay for your college", etc. Lots of these young people only hear the good and don't take the time to see the WHOLE picture! I know many who signed up and did it for the wrong reasons, and 9/11 happened and were sent over seas and realized they didn't think this thru.

Maybe they are better now, but I'm remembering being in high school and how pushy they were. I did not like that!

I'll continue to pray for Alec!

Aaaaggghhhhh... it's SO easy to say "if I was you" and how you would be in a situation, but it's so bull! You don't know and TJ definitely has NO IDEA either how she would be. She's just mad because she wasn't asked to be in the picture, or be there. If it bothers her SO much, then work on your relationship with those people/loved ones and maybe next time you would be invited! Ggggrrrr...

Sorry about that young man, Joey Collette. God Bless his family!!! Hero for sure!!!

Missy, I appreciate you saying something, I like to respect the wishes of my friends. :) So if anything like that happens again please say something! :)

It's worrisome any time anyone we know joins the military but still, they're not being drafted and they made the choice to do it, so even though we worry about them, they know the risks involved going into it. He will do the test again but on his way to Virginia, he gets no leave to visit with family. He's not the only one who didn't make it, but that is their punishment. Oh well, they have their reasons.

Thank you for saying I did nothing wrong. TJ says she would have told my kids to get their "s" together and make peace and do it the right way. I don't think so. She would have done the exact same thing in the situation and gloated about it to me. I know that for a fact! I didn't do it to purposely hurt her I did it for the kids and dad.

Greg and I watched the coming home of Joey Collette today online. It was so sad and so beautiful at the same time. Over half of our town came out to pay respects. He was OED too, what Alec wants to do. :( He's now another one of our "Hometown Heros"

Good morning ladies! Happy Wednesday, and that means, THANK-YOU to everyone who prays tonight for our family & friends in need! God Bless you all!

Auntie Cyndie... glad you had a nice dinner and time with your old co-workers! Hope they are all doing well?!! Glad you didn't come back saying you are going back to work for them, hee hee. Howe is that lady doing? Better? Hope so! Have fun getting together once a month! That's great!!!

Susi... thank-you about the "munchkin". But honestly who am I to say what you can and can not do. Sorry! I like the kids I watch, but not enough to call them my nicknames, hee hee

Papabear did do more then bring the lawn stuff out. He's like Greg sometimes. I think with the nice weather, and Little Cub's birthday party coming up, he thought it was time to clean up the yard some too, hee hee.

We didn't make it to the gym last night either. I worked on the budget and got everything caught up. Papabear looked into... gee, now I forgot. He was on the computer doing stuff I guess, hee hee. It's okay. I have my TOM this week, so the break is nice. Getting stuff down around the house is good too. As for getting my membership back, no. I like saving the $20 a month! hee hee

I know it's hard with the Alec thing. So I'll keep praying. I don't know much, but what I thought is he just has to wait till they test again, and he can pass then. So like you said, he'll get in at some point, so praying he's safe is all we can do.

My Godson/Nephew's job in the Military is to be the person who goes out before everyone to scout out the area and where the enemy is. I know that's not the right wording for it, but that is how I remember it. I know it's dangerous and he could get caught/captured. All I could do was pray! He is back from his trip over seas and home safe. BUT He just resigned again to be back in it, so you never know. I just keep him in my prayers always! Praying for Alec Susi!!

Oh, and I'm happy TJ put her *rap aside to keep you in the loop! Hope she continues to do that! Now as for Kelly... she can have her opinion, and not being there, in that situation, and knowing fully how they feel and why they asked you to be in the picture, she can't judge! I think it's one of those "We have to agree to not agree" times!

You did do NOTHING WRONG! They (Dawn, right? think I forgot her name) asked you to be in the picture and that's all that matters!!! It wasn't Kelly taking the picture, it was them and who was there and THEY wanted you in the picture... you wanted to be in it... so that's all that matters! Again, you did nothing wrong!!! I'm happy you all have that memory!!!

Well I have to do snackies with the kidos. I'll be back to do the QOTD. Hope you all have a good day! Happy Hump day!

Missy, I won't call them "that" anymore, I didn't know I understand your feeling though. When Dawn was a baby I called her PooPie. Cause she was a cute little Poo Bear and a sweetie pie. She hates that now. I called her that a few times before she asked me not to anymore. It's still my pet name for her but I don't call her that. :)

At least you got out some yesterday. Yay on the chives coming up, that is a sure sign! :) I'm glad the kids were good for you. :)

I hope you are feeling better today. Being bummed on a nice day isn't good.

Sounds like you may want to re-think and get your gym membership back. :) It's good that Papabear took the patio stuff out, but that couldn't have taken too long and you could have still gone to the gym. Oh well.

Thank you Cyndie, I love when I have good news too. Hehe! I was floored when she told me the inhaler would be free. I expected to pay at least some on it and even that would have been okay. :)

If and when Alec passes the test he may still get that job. I hope not though. I didn't expect TJ to call me yesterday and tell me about it. Then I talked to Kelly last night and got on the subject somehow of the 5 generation picture I was in with the kids. I find out Kelly thinks it was wrong of me too.

Okay, I'm thinking it's pretty much the same thing TJ is doing with Alec, acting like his mom. Kelly said it's different but I don't see it and still think I didn't do anything all that wrong. I stand my ground. If it wasn't for me there wouldn't have been one with dad. If they would have waited till they were okay with TJ in it, it would never have come about. She needs to get over it!

I'm glad you enjoyed the time with the ladies and I'm so glad you are planning on doing it every month! :) Yes, I do think ChiChi's got rid of all the chains. I'm glad at least they still sell some of their things in the store, I love their salsa! :)

Missy, I did enjoy yesterday's GH. It was nice to see Nora Buchanon. I also liked how she mentioned Marti Saybrook and Llanview and Pine Valley. I read that the part of Valerie is being recast. I did see her in a Lay's potato chip commercial the other day!

Susi, I just love when you're full of good news! First and foremost, great news on the inhaler! Then, a good visit with your dad, including the fact that he walked. And last but not least, Alec may not have gotten that dangerous job!

It was great seeing the ladies from the office where I retired! We said we're going to try to get together once a month. We used to have a Chi Chi's here, but it's gone. I wonder if the whole chain went out?

Hoping everyone has a happy Hump Day!

Hugs!

Susi... so happy all worked out with the meds lady and you are all set with it coming to your house! YEAH! Also a plus that your Dad was in a GOOD mood! I was hoping since he hadn't seen you. Glad it was a good visit!!! Oh and as for the taters and gravy, that's what I would of ate too!!! hee hee

It's so funny when you say "Munchkins". I was going to ask you not to, but it is cute. I was going to say not to, because that is what my Daddy calls me. My Mo too I guess, hee hee. It's just my dad still does and more then my Mom, hee hee.

The kidos were over all good. The weather warmed up just as they went for nappy, so that was a bummer, but I went out walked around the house. Took out some Spring decorations for outside... looking over my plants, etc. My Chives are starting to come up, so that's an awesome sign of Spring!!! I needed that today!

Feeling kind of bummed, bu I'm okay. Just being a Mom kind of stuff. I'll be fine. I'm sure it's because I have my TOM too.

Oh, that reminds me... I was ready to go to the gym and Papabear asked if we could skip it. I dropped my membership, so I can only go with him now, so I had to stay home. He wanted to "clean up the basement" more... ggggrrrr! He did take out our patio set and chairs, so I guess that was good. We'll need them for Little cub's party in two weeks, so. Anywho... if he doesn't have a soccer game tonight, we are supposed to go. Now I'm not sure if I'm up to it... period stuff. We'll see.

On that note I should go. Hope you are continuing to have a good day Susi!
Auntie Cyndie, hope your day was good too! Happy 56th birthday to GH today!! hee hee

I'm thrilled!!!!! The lady at scripts assist said she didn't see any problem at all with me getting the anoro! :) I meet the qualifications and they will come from the company directly to my house and at a 90 dad dose each time. :) I'll have to re-do this next year too, around April 20th or so but that's no problem it's so worth it!
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

That didn't take long at all to do so we ended up coming home for a bit before going to see dad. I want to check his snack drawer while he was at lunch. He wasn't down yet and I told one of the gals what I was up to, so she went to see. He needed his bag changed first, so they did that and brought him to lunch.

We checked his snacks and only 3 bags were gone this time and one on his tray he was starting on. We waited downstairs in the "living room" till I could see him push back from the table then we went back.

He only ate a very small dessert dish of mashed taters and gravy, his choc pudding dessert and 2 bites of his tuna salad, he decided he didn't like that. :( He did drink his liquids though, water, choc and white milk. They said a lot of times he'll only eat the mashed taters and gravy, we may have to get them to bring him more than they do if nothing else.

We took him back to his room and visited with him for a while. He was so excited to see us. :) I kind of talked to him about the snacks and his eating but didn't make a big deal of it. I also found out that yesterday they got him to walk a good bit in the hall. :) He tells us he can't walk but we've always known better. LOL! I mentioned that to him too and told him I was proud of him. :)

So it was a GOOD day!

I'm a choc all the way kind of lady too!!!! I do like white, but I prefer choc. Greg likes the white cake with 7 minute icing but I can't eat it, eggs. :( So he only gets the regular white. Hehe! And if I decide I want pie on my BD it's only apple crunch and if he can get some cinnamon ice cream for it, all the better!! :) He likes strawberry pie. I love that too!

I sure hope the munchkins were good for you today.

HUGS!

Morning ladies... Happy Tuesday?!!?? It's only Tuesday... oh boy!

Auntie Cyndie... I know we won't hear from you till later tonight, but hope you had a good meal and visit with your friends!!! Oh and I wanted to ask if your weather has gotten better? Maybe walking weather yet?!!?? Hoping!

Susi... good luck today at 10am. Also with your dad. Do you think someone else is taking the snacks, or that you think it's just your Dad eating them? Hoping no more are gone and he was good! And especially hope no one is stealing them! Also hope you can see he's eating his lunch & hopefully that means his dinners too!

I hate when good places leave town. I miss many of them and also places that were so good and now aren't so good... food, cleanliness, etc.

Thank-you for forgiving me!!! hee hee It got down to 20 degrees last night, but no "S" so I'm happy!!!

I guess we do get older and out birthdays are just another day. I don't expect much, just Papabear and the cubs to spend time with me, if they can! Hope Greg has a good day!!! Though he has bad taste in cakes, hee hee. For me it would be chocolate all the way!!! hee hee

Well all the babies are here and today WILL be a good day! Fingers and toes crossed! Hoping the same for you all too! TTFN... going to post the QOTD...

Cyndie, I'm so happy that you are keeping in touch with your former co-workers! Enjoy that lunch today! One Mexican place I REALLY miss is ChiChi's! I so loved their food! We went there a good bit back in the day. They pulled out of town though. :(

I hope the scripts lady will be able to help too. I have to take our last taxes, and proof of income with us. I guess it's a good thing I don't have to take a bank savings statement. :) We have money in the bank but why should we have to end up depleting savings for medicine? It may not be right in some people's eyes now, but they will see when they are retired too.

Hopefully dad will be good and in a good mood today when we visit. If not, I'm not going to stay too long, I'm not up to his griping today.

Missy, of course you are forgiven! But don't let it happen again. LOL! Not too much gets by me. Hehe!

Kelly texted last night. Just in a day, dad ate 7 of his snack bags and 2 chip bags she took and 7 more were unaccounted for. Hmm? I told her we were going today and hopefully at the end of his lunch. She marked the bags to account for them and asked me to check them and let her know what he ate. And I can check the end of his lunch meal and see how much he ate of that too. We need to get to the bottom of this!

No huge plans for Greg's birthday. He's like me, just another day. :) He would like a white cake with white icing, a steak on the grill, and a baked tater for his meal. :) The only thing I ask is that he lights the grill, I will do it all. :) He will get a nice back rub and some lotion I'll put on him too. He loves that. Hehe! And a card of course!

Oh my! I've seen people do that before with the sprayer. I'm glad you made him clean it up. Karma! LOL! I'm sure glad Greg doesn't like to do things like that. :)

Well, TJ's trip to see Alec graduate from boot camp is off. She is devastated according to her FB page. The only thing I can think of is he still had to pass his running test to graduate and he may not have made it. I have to be sorry that I am happy about it so he doesn't have to do a dangerous job. I don't know if he gets another chance at it or not though. I am only presuming this is what happened.

HUGS!

Susi... You are right...(hanging my head down with tears in my eyes)... I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that swear word. I'm SO sorry. Will you ever forgive me!

Hee hee... it's funny because I typed it and almost fixed it and just put "s", but didn't. I was rushing and figured no one would say anything. Guess you showed me, hee hee.

That's right, I remember you saying that about Kelly getting your dad snacks, but not putting them in portions like you were doing. Hope she does and helps you with that.

Hoping all goes well with you tomorrow morning and your inhaler. Hoping you have a good visit with your Dad too. Good luck!

So any big plans for Saturday and Greg's birthday?!! Turning 70, that's great! He definitely doesn't seem like he's 70. But now-a-days that is so young... especially if you take care of yourself and keep active, which he is! Hoping he has a great day. I know you will spoil him!!!

Auntie Cyndie... Out to dinner with your friends, that sounds nice! Hope you enjoy your Mexican food! Nice you ladies still get together.

Did you watch GH today?!!? If not, don't read. Actually it's like it gives anything away, hee hee
I thought it was cool how Laura Buchanan was on the show and when she talked to district attorney Maggie Dawson how they talked about their towns. Laura mentioned Llanview and Maggie said she was more a Pine Valley girl, hee hee. LOVED it! Makes it fun.

So Little Cub did get me with the kitchen hose/sprayer. He put an elastic on it so when I turned on the water, I got sprayed. I got pretty wet! I had checked it twice before using it to make sure he didn't do that, but this time forgot and got it! Guess who got to clean it all up though, hee hee. Glad today is over!!! Hate April 1st!

On that note, I'm gonna get ready for bed. Hope you all have a good night/morning.

Susi, thanks for the information about Truex. There's always next week! I hope that your visit with your dad went well. I also hope that the script lady was able to help you!

Missy, I hope that you have good weather is good for Younger Cub's birthday party. I know you can't believe your baby is going to be 18! Hopefully, you get over your cold soon!

I agree with you both as to what day it is. I'll ignore it. As for tomorrow, I'm going out to dinner with the ladies from the office I retired from. We're going out for Mexican. I'm looking forward to it!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Missy I sure hope you got through the day with no surprises. I think it's a stupid so called holiday. I'm surprised people don't get it off work. Sheesh!

Kelly has always gotten dad snacks too. I tried to get her to lighten up on them a little, but she don't listen. Oh well. I just told her the other day we needed to go back to just taking things for him, enough to put in a tupperware or medium baggie each time we go instead of a lot of stuff to fill his drawer. She said it sounded like a good idea, yet she filled his drawer anyway.

I have a 10 a.m. appointment with the scripts assist lady in the morning to get things going (hopefully) with my inhaler. After we leave there we'll visit with dad. Her office is at the hospital so it's just down the street from where dad is. :)

Yes, my cleaning went very well yesterday. :) I did use my oxygen though while I did it. The bed got me a bit, but I took it slow and easy and took some breaks. :) Greg kept offering help but I told him it's something I needed to do on my own and I would let him know if I needed him. He did run the vacuum for me like always though. :)

So we can't say the "s" word but it's okay for you to say it since there's an ed on the end of it???? ROFLMBO! Okay just had to razz you about that! Hehe!

Hopefully the weather will be nice for YC party. :) Greg's birthday is the 6th. :) It seems like he just turned 69. *sigh* He sure doesn't look or act like he will be 70! I love that cornball! LOL! Every now and then his birthday falls on Easter day.

I bet it was cute/funny that LMFP dad dressed her and did her hair today. Hey, at least he does interact like that! :)

Morning Ladies... Happy April 1st! I won't say what else today is known as... I hate it! Hoping Little Cub doesn't remember! hee hee

Susi... Nice to read that Kelly got snacks for your Dad. I wondered if you were the only one who did it?!! I'm sure he'll be VERY happy to see you! Hope you have a good visit! Oh, and by the way, I do understand what you mean... you having the choice to not visit is better then you can't.

Glad you are doing better and the trip to get the paper went well! A good test! Hoping the cleaning went well and wasn't too much for you?!! At least with the rain, Greg was indoors (???) to keep an eye on you?!!

Sorry about his race. Maybe next week... fingers crossed!!

Auntie Cyndie... that is perfect! Love that you can go whenever you want and decide stuff like leaving after your bible study if you want! And picking when you want to leave, not being told because you have to get back to work! Love it!!! Hope you have a good week till leaving!

Love that Jimmy enjoys being outside too. Papabear too, but wishes he had a garage also. I think Papabear is more like Jimmy then Greg though with it. hee hee

NO ONE SAY THE "S" word!!! PLEASE!! hee hee We got the rain yesterday, but that was all it was. Was warm in the AM hours, but got colder as the day went on. This is why I can't get better with this head cold! It's better, but an up and down thing. Sick of it!!

Today is nice out, but chilly too, if that makes sense?!! hee hee But it's NOT Winter, so I'm happy! I worry because in two weeks we are doing Little Cub's 18th birthday party! Would be nice to be nice out! We've had years it snowed, so I wouldn't be surprised. And we are doing it early because his actual birthday falls right with Easter weekend this year.

Well have to go feed the kidos snackie. I have A, D, & LMFP here today. Her dad dressed her, did her hair. Mom went to concert Sunday night, so was off morning duty, hee hee. It's always funny and you know, when Dad dresses the children... especially the girls, hee hee. Cute!

I'll be back. Have a good day ladies! TTFN...

Cyndie, we had a few unexpected flurries yesterday after all but not even enough to be concerned with. The cold snap showed up and this morning it's 26 with a chill factor of 19. :( But..tomorrow it's supposed to get back up to 52. :)

Truex ended up in 12th yesterday. :( I guess at least we are glad he finished. Maybe next week. He was doing good at first but fell back.

I might try to go and see dad tomorrow. I miss him and I know he misses me too. Kelly said he was doing good yesterday, especially when she filled his snack drawer. LOL!

Susi, you're right, earlier last week we were in the 60s. I want that weather back! Our flurries didn't stick around, so I was happy about that!

You have talked about lasagna so much lately, I'm going to have to make one! I've been happy about Truex being in the top 10, but #1 is best!

Enjoy the last of your weekend!

No snow in our forecast, at least yet. It's only 36 though this morning and supposed to get to 21 tonight. :( Lots of rain coming up in the next 10 days. I sure hope your flurries were well behaved and you didn't get much.

A couple days here and there in the middle of the week are awesome! :) I sure wish we could get away again but it looks like it may still be a while. :(

Cleaning today and I will do only what I can and won't be pushing myself. I need to get back to my routine now. :)

Susi, I definitely understand what you're saying about visiting your dad. I think it has to do with it being your own decision. I will definitely be praying for Alec!

Missy, Jimmy does like being outdoors, but I don't think he likes it as much as Greg does. And Susi is right, no negative self-talk!

Jimmy and I are leaving for Cincinnati on Thursday. That way, I get to go to Bible study on Wednesday. As you said, it's great leaving on a weekday!

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend! Go, Truex!

I do miss dad when I can't get there. Just not going is one thing I guess but when I actually can't that's worse. Does that make sense? I know he misses me too.

Thank you for keeping Alec in prayer. He had a rough childhood, his mom is bi-polar and won't admit it. TJ pretty much raised him but despite that he turned out a fine young man, getting Eagle Scout and now this. :) I am proud of him.

Yes, you did everything right with the cub And you were lucky and blessed! You raised them to be fine young men too and I am so proud of them and you and Papabear!

Yikes on the hotel shooting! I'm so glad no one else was hurt! Hotel + shooting= yea, probably drugs. :( I feel bad for the ones who can't get their things though.

And by the way you DON'T have a fat a**!!! :)

Yes Cyndie, when do you leave?

Morning ladies. Happy Friday! WooHoo!
I only have LMFP today and I'm so good with that! I have a head cold and other then the stuffy nose and head stuff that comes with that I'm good. I slept good last night, so that is good!

Susi... I'm glad Kelly steps up, but sad it's only when something happens to you. I want you better, but hope you have to still rest which makes her (& TJ) have to go more! Do you miss your Dad when you don't go like this?

I'll keep Alec in my prayers! When my nephew signed up, he picked a dangerous job too. He has gone over already and is back home safe! Praying & wishing the same for Alec too! (Hugs) VERY nice of TJ to think of Alec and let you write a letter!!! I'm happy you were able to!

Thank-you for what you said about my cubs and how Papabear and I raised them. I don't know what I did right or if I was just very lucky/blessed but I know I am and so very happy about that! Both will be in jobs I'll always be worrying about them, but so proud of them!

Speaking of police and stuff... in our near by city it has been crazy these past days. When leaving our friend's house Wednesday from going to the movies, we had to find a new route home. With all the roads and highways blocked off, I knew it had to be a shooting thing.

Someone in a hotel was shoot and went on into the next day! The three people causing the troubles were killed and no SWAT, police, or civilians were hurt! GREAT JOB to them all (Police & SWAT). It was a drug related thing I think.

The other people who were in the hotel still can't get their stuff and will have to wait till probably mid next week before they can. Most people there were probably on job trips, so that's gotta be hard or mess things up. Anywho...

Auntie Cyndie... Is Jimmy turning into a Greg, hee hee. I think if Papabear had a garage he would live in there and be out more! In the Spring, Summer, and part of Fall Papabear is usually out in the yard, but not as yard cleaning as Greg, hee hee. Hope Jimmy was having a good time and enjoyed the fresh air!

Next WEEK to your parents, that's AWESOME!!! Have a great time!!! You get to plan a week's time and not wait till a vacation, that's so nice! Hope you have a wonderful time!!! Say HI for us all! Safe travels!!!

Good girl, by the way, walking the treadmill! When I watch GH I still my fat *ss on the couch. You are so good! Proud of you!

I was able to go out for almost an hour yesterday with the kidos. LMFP and B were great and A, the older one who should of done the best, did not! Since the season is just starting, I had no toys out yet, but we were just running around and making animal games and LMFP did awesome, but A... just stood there. Then Little Cub came home and got a soccer ball and A still wouldn't play much, so LMFP, LC, me, and B did. It was weird. Anywho, was nice to get out and I felt great! My cold might be this house, hee hee.

Hope you ladies have a good day. I'll be back later. Cyndie, when do you leave? Over the weekend or Monday? Safe travels again! Susi... have a good day... any big plans?

Missy, Kelly will step up more if she is needed to. Otherwise it's just the Sunday visit for her. I was in hopes that when she moved back to town she would visit more with dad after work even if it was only for a few minutes but she only does that if I need her to. :(

TJ is going in a few days to watch Alec graduate from boot camp. I can't remember if I told you or not. He joined the Army and is wanting to be DOS. That is a highly dangerous explosive clearing person. :( I'm being mean and hoping he doesn't get that. I want him home alive.

We just had a man in the same job from here who came home in a flag draped coffin and I don't want that for Alec. She called me the other day and said if I wanted to write a letter to him to read on the bus on the way to wherever it is they send him she would be glad to take it, so I did. She will pick it up today.

She was very nice to me so I returned the favor, but I still am leary and I won't be getting back in with her unless it has something to do with dad, she can't be trusted at all.

You have raised both your sons with a good head on their shoulders! I'm proud of YC for making the decision to quit track rather than miss out on the more important things! I know you will always worry about them but you and Papabear did a wonderful job with them and I think you can rest easy that they will always make the right decisions! :)

Cyndie, I'm so happy you are heading to Cincinnati next week! I know your folks will be happy too! Isn't it wonderful just to go now when you want to and not because it's the only time you can make to go? :)

There certainly isn't a thing wrong with staying in and watching GH and walking the treadmill! I use to love working in the yard but can't so much anymore. :( It's now all Greg's thing to do. He loves it and that's what matters. Does Jimmy like being out and doing things in the yard? Greg could give him some support on that matter. Hehe!

Missy, I agree with Susi, the things you're teaching the children are very important. I think they help the kids fit in better, and are getting lost these days! That's too bad about Younger Cub, but he's right to be focusing on his future!

Susi, we are happy to get that good report on your health! It's good that Greg is able to get outside, but comes in to check on you. I do agree with you, when we were growing up, we had stay-at-home moms who taught us things.

It got into the 60's here today. Jimmy went out and worked in the yard. While he was out doing that, I admit, I stayed inside, did the treadmill, and watched GH. He and I are headed to Cincinnati next week. I'm looking forward to it!

Wishing everyone a happy Friday Eve!

Hugs!

Proud of Greg!!! I feel better know you have him. (Thanks Greg!)

Yes, back in my day you did not have to know stuff going into kindergarten. That is where you learned it, but like you, most of us did know it.

I know today you have to count to 25, I think. Know all your colors, the alphabet, and a few more things I can't think of. I don't keep up with the list of what, anymore. I have a Senior in HS and Junior in College, hee hee. No need!

Thank-you for the kind words you said about me. I try. I think teaching them what I do, is helping, so I'm happy with it, hee hee.

I can see you kicking that dirt, hee hee. Poor Susi!!!

Glad Kelly is stepping up!! Are you two still arguing?!!? Glad she's helping your dad (and you). Sorry, but it's about time one of them does (step up to help)!!!

Just had a heart to heart with Little Cub... he quit the track team. They wouldn't let him be part of the team... he would still practice, but didn't want to run meets. There are over 125 kids on the team, never did they all participate. But either since he's Older Cub's brother, or I watched the coach's son, or he's a senior... I don't know, but they won't let him do that. All 125 plus kids on the "team" do not go to meets. Some times only 10 make it!!! Stupid. It was either quit track, not pick up the hours at either of his two jobs he has, or fail his EMT course. Picking track was best.

Now he won't get the award for doing a sport each year for all three seasons, but he's thinking of his future, so that's good!

Heading to haircuts soon, so I should let you go. Have a good evening ladies...

Missy, Greg has been out a good bit the past few days. :) The first 2 days I was home he checked on me about every 15 minutes when he was out. :) Now though since I am doing much better it's just occasionally and that's fine with me. Yes, still doing so much better!

I haven't visited with dad yet, I'm going to wait till after I see the pulmonologist on the 4th. Kelly is stopping in there more often and letting me know how he's doing. The one day she called me from there so I could talk to him for a bit. :)

You are by no means a glorified babysitter you ARE a teacher! Wow! I didn't know you did all that with the kids! I'm so impressed! :) You are awesome! :) That is a lot you do with them, and thankfully the teacher parents understand you! :)

When I was little I never even went to kindergarten. TJ got to but not me. Back then it was "elective" and at the Catholic school you had to pay tuition for that too. I begged and begged cause I wanted to go but they just told me no, they couldn't afford it. It hurt my feelings something fierce at the time.

I recall once I was out in the front yard up by the house, flower bed, kicking in the dirt because I was so upset about not getting to go. Now I guess you have to go to pre school and kindy garten before you can go to 1st. And they have to know stuff before they get there, we didn't back then but I think most of us did know. :)

I love that they bring their own lunches too, that saves you a lot of trouble and work for making it for them and worrying about if they'll eat it or not and so on. :) YES Ma'am you ARE a teacher!!!!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed your movie and it was nice of them to invite you to dinner before you went. :)

Morning ladies! Happy Thursday!

Susi... Hoping yoiu are still feeling better and better each day!
Hee hee... I liked what you said about Garfield loving you, hee hee. Especially since you make HOMEMADE lasagna!!! I think I love you, hee hee. Sounds so good!!!

Greg enjoying the nicer weather these days?!? It's supposed to get in the 50's today. I think more around 4pm, but still will get there!! Has he been out, but checking in on you often?!!

Have you or are you visiting your Dad yet? If so, how is he?

Auntiue Cyndie... That's awesome to be able to go to bible study like that! Our parish does lots of things like that during the day and I hate I can't go. So glad you can and are enjoying it?!!?!!

How about you? Weather getting better? Have you been able to get out for some walks yet?

To answer you Susi, you are pretty much right. The day care schools are like a pre-preschool. These days it's crazy what they children have to know to get into preschool or kindergarten.

I do work with colors, shapes, numbers, letters when playing, but don't have a set time, like a school would. I just make sure we say colors and count toys... the stuffed Monkey starts with a letter M... stuff like that.

BUT these days, so many parents want you to be a teacher. That is one thing I love with having teachers as the parents. They understand as a parent it's THEIR job to teach THEIR children to be ready tor preschool, not me. Of course there are always some parents...aaaghhh. I usually have the children from birth to 3 years old... and then some 4 year olds as part time because the preschools are a few days a week, not a full week.

I teach them to pick up toys, play nicely, saying please and thank-yous! how routines go during the day, napping with no playing, get chairs for lunch (and put them back), even when changing diapers... to pull up and down their pants etc. If parents are potty training, I will work with that. Help them get rid of a pacifier or stuff like that.

As for lunches, I used to make lunch, but now parents like to bring their own, which I love! So I'm normally just warming up leftovers or those baby/younger children foods they sell. Some have sandwiches, etc. With all the weird allergies out there now, it was much easier to do it this way. Like LMFP's mom wants all organic. I don't get that for MY family, so certainly not getting it for day care children, hee hee.

So I am a "glorified" baby sitter, but I'm okay with that, I guess...hee hee. As long as they pay me, I'm good! (wink)

The movie was nice last night. We went over to our friend's house for dinner first. She invited us last minute. Then after the movie we headed home to rest... hee hee... it was 9pm. But it was a nice evening.

Hope you all had a good evening too!
Hoping you all have a good day today! HUGS

Cyndie, date night could be a night out at a fancy restaurant too! :) Even a sunset walk in the park, anything different and special to you. :) Greg and I have even done date afternoons with a picnic in the park.

I'm glad you were able to go to Bible study! :) Another perk of being retired! You will find many perks you will enjoy!

Susi, I am so hoping that your insurance company reverses their position on your inhaler! Jimmy is definitely with you and Greg, he likes to see things at home. Still, I can see the appeal of a date night!

Missy, I'm so happy that you were able to get such a good deal on the graduation invitations for Younger Cub! It does sound like everything will turn out for the best for next year! Enjoy movie night!

I went to Bible study at church today. It's every Wednesday at 11:45 am. One of those things I could never do while I worked. It's going on "Spring Break"now, so it resumes on April 10th.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Missy, yep, I do think I'm a Garfield gal when it comes to lasagna! I always did love it and home made is the very best! I have a pasta maker and it's even so much better with home made lasagna noodles! Sauce and such from scratch! Garfield would fall in love with me, even more than Liz. Hehe!

Since I don't have kids, I guess I don't know the big difference, but I always thought a day care school was one who taught the little ones things like counting and the likes. Home day care was for playing and getting the little ones use to being around other children and having fun and babysitting was a hit and miss thing when the parents needed someone.

What a wonderful wonderful deal you got on the invitations! I'm so happy for you! So many don't think to use coupons early like that, you are so frugal! :) You could teach me a lot of things! :) I would probably try to make them myself to save money. I would do the food for sure, catering it horrible!

What kind of snackies do you give the kids? I bet they love anything you give them. Do you usually do lunch for them too or kind of a snack type lunch to hold them over? Just being nosey. :)

Morning ladies! Happy Wednesday!

Susi... You are a female Garfield, hee hee. Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie (Lasagna)!!! hee hee

It's always nice to have people who understand, like they did giving you the samples! I'm so glad they did and it'll help you! Being allergic... no that wouldn't be good. Glad you stopped those to be safe!!

Hee hee... that other lady needs a day care facility, not an in home care place. I do know other in home day cares that do more then I do with crafts, outside, etc. But I might not do as many crafts, but get down and play with them more I think. One on one time with them is just as good as playing in the snow. Most of the other parents I have had just say... it's fine, I'll take them out when I get home. (wink) I'm not too worried. I feel bad, but like you said, I have to do what is best for me and my family. This will be good!

I'm with YOU Susi! I would rather watch the movie at home, and most movies we wait to be out in Redbox to do that. But since Papabear loves seeing Marvel movies in the theatre, we go to most of those there. I hate more the germs you get. Touching seats, eating food... it's all gross. I bring hand sanitizer and we don't buy food. IF I bring some candy or some sort, wash my hands and don't touch anything... hee hee.

WWWOOOOWWWW... my invitations ended up being a SUPER awesome deal! So glad I did it!! I got 40 cards for $28.99 (that's with shipping). I didn't realize it was for the premium ones, so they came with (return) addressed envelopes. I normally get blank (free). The cost of what I got would of been $83.60 with $7.99 shipping! I loved hitting "buy" with $28.99!!! WooHoo!!!

As for the cost of parties, yeah, they can get up there in cost... just the food a lone. Bjut I try to make everything ourselves... decorations, cakes, food, party favors. And I get when I have coupons or deals.... like the invitations!!! hee hee

Auntie Cyndie.. That is super cool that Kim stopped in before leaving for her work trip. Like we all said, it's great being retired!!! Love it!!!

Also love reading you are planning a trip to visit your parents. It's gonna be so nice not to have to squeeze it between a long weekend, and you can stay a week, 2 weeks, whatever you want... and when you want!!! How awesome!!! Have fun planning! (wink)

Just B and LMFP today. So far it's been okay. LMFP is bossing him around, and a little "pushy". He's much fussier then yesterday, but gets over it quickly, so that is good. But on that note, I should get back to them and time for snackie!

I'll be back. Hope you all have a good day!

Cyndie, that meal would be my dream meal! I so love lasagna! :) I was very surprised they gave me that many samples. :) They all know the problem so that helps a lot! :) I was doing good till the insurance quit covering it for me.

I had some Symbicort left from a while back that I went to when I got home from the hospital. It helped better than that other stuff they stuck me on did. I'm afraid to use that now, I wondered if there was something in it I may be allergic to or something.

I love that Kim can stop by and visit on the way out of town now. :) And I'm really happy you are making plans to visit with your folks! They will love having you both there! :)

Missy, that other lady needs more of a babysitter than a daycare for her kid if she wants all that extra done. She'll get over you turning her down, you need to do what's good for you!

Enjoy your movie. :) We don't go anymore, it's better to wait till it comes on PPV or something. More comfy at home watching movies. Hehe!

I think it's a wonderful idea to get the invitations while you can get a good deal on them. I don't know for a fact but I've heard many say just how expensive that kind of thing gets to be and on top of food and so on, it gets really pricey!

Susi... that's awesome!! I'm glad you are doing much better and off oxygen! The extra samples was a sweet added bonus! Now hoping it's all just as good on April 4th! Fingers crossed!
So happy for you!

I had the three children today, and over all they were really good so I was happy!
I talked to the Mom (who I had the interview with yesterday) and she was happy with everything. Just double checking with her husband and I'm to get her the final cost numbers, and we are most likely good to go.

Hee hee... Papabear was really trying to make it special with picking the food last night, and even if they did a meatloaf (gross!!!!) I would of still been happy... maybe hungry... but happy to be with my friends/family! I was very thankful for all they did!!

Auntie Cyndie... hope you had a good day!

Little Cub's girlfriend stayed for dinner tonight. We had burgers on the grill. It was a nice dinner. She's still here hanging out, so I'm on "baby sitting" duty, hee hee. But all is well. Papabear got a call to fill in for a soccer game, so he just left and I'm sure he's happy about it. Bummed that means no Planet Fitness, but oh well.

Tomorrow we are talking about going to the movies with our friends. It's 1/2 the price and Papabear and her husband wanted to see Captain Marvel (I could of waited till it was in RedBox, but it's okay). Nice night out.

On that note, I'm going to order Little Cub's Graduation party invitations. There was a good coupon... 75% off the price... so I'm going to order them before the coupon is gone!

TTFN ladies! Have a good night! HUGS

Missy, your daycare interviews sounded interesting. Do you think the one lady is trying to leave her current daycare because they don't take her little darling out in winter? TeeHee. As for your dinner, since none of it was your favorites, I guess you ate less, so it was Spark friendly. LOL

Susi, thank you for the Spark Mail! I'm happy that you had your follow-up appointment already, and that it went well. Best of all, you got samples of the good inhaler for a month! The dinner you would have had for Missy sounded yummy!

Thanks for the safe travels to Kim. She stopped by on her way out of town, something she couldn't have done while we were working. And you're right, Jimmy and I are talking about heading to Cincinnati next month!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

My appointment went very well!! :) I was off my oxygen for the first time since coming home from the hospital. Just a little struggle but very manageable! :) I go back in 3 months, and I have a follow up for my pulmonary doc on April 4th. :) She said things sounded pretty good in there today, just a bit of wheezing. :) They also got in 4 samples of my Anoro they gave me which will take me through a month. :) So something good did happen for me today! :)

I'm so glad you had the 2 good kids, that is awesome! :) I love this other interview went so well for you! I'm sure we know which one you will pick for next year! :) This craft every day and winters outside is just plain stupid! That lady was a divine intervention! :) Love it! :)

Kind of sounds like Papabear planned the menu. I would have made you home made lasagna, Welsley Fudge cake and chocolate ice cream with choc sprinkles and choc syrup. Not spark friendly but you would have eaten it. :) Hehe! Oh and garlic bread!

The main thing is you enjoyed your time with your friends and they did try. :)

Morning ladies...

Susi... Good luck at your appointment today. I hope all is still going well! Fingers crossed, prayers said!!! As for the people checking up on you... love it! Hope all works out with the insurance and all that!!! Would be nice for something good to happen for you! HUGS!

Got the Sparkmail... thank-you!

Auntie Cyndie... Retired person's day sounds perfect!!! Hoping you are having another one today!!! Did you get anything fun when shopping, or was it just window shopping? Glad you had fun!!!

Safe travels to Kim!

I had a good start to my morning. Found out D isn't coming the rest of the week, hee hee. She has an interview in CA, so they are going to spend the rest of the week there with Dad! So just B and LMFP... and today is going great with them both!

My interview yesterday went GREAT! I felt more comfortable with this lady. Also a family with faith, so a lot of the same beliefs. I don't pick people by that, but it helps! The lady on Friday made me nervous... like she was not going to be happy with me... expected her child outside all the time... winter or not! Crafts each day... like a school. This lady yesterday was good with more "play" time, and understood not going out in the winter!

Oh, and guess what... I figured out they both were/are at the same day care now!!! They didn't know each other. It was so funny. I feel bad having to say no to one, but have to trust my gut. I prayed to God to give me a sign to help me and at the end of the interview, the lady said she had to say something. She noticed all my faith based decorations and pictures of my family and felt this was a loving home and knew if I took her children, they would feel like they are home. Thanks God for the help deciding, hee hee.

Later we went to our friend's house for our monthly get together. It was an enjoyable evening. They tried to do all my favorites... made chicken parm... which isn't a favorite, but papabear said I love Italian, so they went that route... which is right! Then they got a cake, but picked a Bavarian cream cake, which is Papabear's, not mine at all. But I took a a little piece to not hurt anyone's feelings. THEN they got VANILLA ice cream! She knew I love chocolate, but messed up when telling her daughter who was picking it up.

I told them it was fine and a perfect night! Just being with them all made it so special!! It was a fun night!

Well D is sleeping so I'm gonna try to start some laundry.
I hope your appointment goes well Susi. Keep us posted!
Have a good retired person's day again Auntie!

Cyndie, I go back for my follow up already today at 1 this afternoon. I will be seeing his PA. It works though, she's good and happens to be his daughter. :) Next week I go to see a lady at the hospital and sign some papers to see if she can help me with the good inhaler. I told the gal from the insurance co. about the delima, she can't do anything but I wanted my story told to someone there. Hehe!

Your retired persons day sounds perfect! :) I know you are just loving this! :) I know Jimmy has to be too! :) Say, is it time yet to take a middle of the week road trip to visit your parents??? Hmmm? Hehe! That's the funnest part... doing things whenever you feel like it! :)

HUGS!

Could you both check your spark mail please?

Missy, I'm sorry to hear about the bad parts of your birthday weekend. As for that soccer game, how awful! When it comes to that ref, some people abuse power! Too bad that the birthday party for your nephew was so bad. Some people need to teach their children about God manners, etc.

Susi, thank you for letting me know about Truex. Another top 10 victory! WooHoo! I'm happy to hear that everyone is checking up on you. When do you see your primary care physician? Now that you've had this problem, will you be able to get the good medicine?

Jimmy and I had a nice, retired person's day. Jimmy bought himself a new wheelbarrow. He broke it in by doing some yard work. Meanwhile, I went shopping by myself. Kim is headed out on another business trip this week.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Hugs!

Now Missy, don't blame mom for that. You know I would have remembered when I got to FB and it was there anyway! Hehe!

I'm sorry your birthday was good and bad, you deserve good only! Oh those kids! I wouldn't even be going around them at all till they had some respect for others opinions and beliefs too. BRATS!

I'm glad you stood your ground and stayed at Hobby Lobby this time! Hehe! Maybe that'll teach Papabear you have the right to look around too. LOL! Okay, I know he isn't bad, just it's time to be fair! :)

Oh the gifts, I tagged you on FB about baskets for kids who think they have to have one. LOL!

I think it's good to start planning changes in the house now. OC will probably be getting his own place once he's out of college and since you'll have a place for him to sleep, that's all that should matter. :) Maybe Papabear could give up a little of his basement for them. :) I know, I'm bad. LOL!

Yikes on the game! What gets into these people now days to make them act like that? It's so sad and so immature! And yet they think they are getting ready to be adults? SAD! Quite worrisome too!

What a crazy weekend you had! But at least some of it came out okay. :) I'm glad for that part for you!

I was on and off the phone a lot today. The hospital called to do the check on me, then my insurance company called to check on me, then I called the hospital lady about my Anoro and I need to go in and sign some papers before she can "TRY" to help me with it, and I called to get my follow up and they want me in tomorrow afternoon already. Sheesh, what a day! LOL!

Morning ladies! It's been a busy morning, so getting here late.

1st off... Thank-you ladies for the birthday love! It helped make my day wonderful!
Always causing trouble Mom, hee hee. A girl can't keep a secret with you, hee hee. Love you!

Susi... glad you are home and still doing good! Glad Greg enjoyed his race... and made you two dinner! Easy, and yummy! Garfield was jealous! Hoping today is a good day for you!

Auntie Cyndie... your Sunday dinner did sound good! Hope you both enjoyed it. Any lunches with Kim this week? Glad ou and Jimmy are enjoying retirement! Just how it should be!!! (wink)

I had a good weekend, I guess. Saturday Papabear tried to spoil me some. He wanted to go to his store, so my store, Hobby Lobby, is right next door, so I did that. This time when he was done and ready to lkeave, I made him finish walking around Hobby Lobby with me till I was done, hee hee (normally I leave). It was fun.

I got Easter (religious) things for my little nieces and nephew. They all think Easter is about candy, bunnies, etc. Not the true meaning. I feel Easter is a holiday to get together, but we don't need gifts, but everyone does get them and I hate it! So getting Easter books about God was a happy medium for me. As for the older Children, Not sure what I'm doing yet, but leaning towards nothing.

Then we went back home for lunch, I went to CVS to print pictures, and then to Lowes to look at things and get prices on things. This Summer we are taking walls down in the house, so we are pricing how much that will be. Time to make Older Cub's room my dining room! hee hee. We'll make sure both cubs have a place to sleep when coming home, but this Summer OC is staying at hios college town for working reasons, so he won't be home.

After that it was dinner out with Little Cub and Papabear. I picked a place we never go to. It was nice. Got chicken potpie. It was HUGE and I have the rest for lunch today! LC had then bring dessert to me for my birthday. He was hoping they would sing, but they didn't. Was fine with me, hee hee.

Last was going to LC's soccer game. That was rough. The team was mean that they played against. The coaches were arguing with the refs, the children, even the parents in the stands. Not good at all. At the end of the game LC got called on a play and it was sort of a fair call. LC went to help the gil up, who fell over and another team member on her team got in his face. That was not good. Three kids were out for blood with LC and two of the other good players on our team. Just mean.

Anywho, at the end of the game they all shake hands. Well one ref wouldn't shake LC's hand. So LC said how that was poor sportsmanship and grab his hand to shake it. Yes, he shouldn't of grab his hand, but the ref was so wrong. The ref ended up giving LC a red card... which if they were playing, he would of been kicked out of the game. So the coach and LC went to the manager of the place to tell him what happened. It was just NOT a good game.

Calls on just our team, the other team... the girls too... playing dirty, and the teens cheering the other team on in the stands... yelling and calling out mean things to our team. They really should of been kicked out! It was NOT enjoyable at all! Sad.

ANYWHO... Sunday (my actually birthday) was church, food shopping, and at my Nephew's birthday party... that was NOT fun at all! The children got to sit as MOST of the adults stood. Everyone complains MY house is small, you had 20 plus adults trying to sit/stand in this one small room! It was crazy! My SIL put out apps, but we got there at 3pm and the rest of the food didn't come to 5pm! Then it was cake, gifts and we left at 7:30pm! I was so mad! My parties, we start at like 2pm and everyone is gone by 5pm! We keep it going and everyone is talking. Yesterday was lots of silence!

I ended up coloring a firetruck for LC because I was sick on standing and being bored! I just wanted to get home and be with LC and Papabear (LC didn't go... smart!). The food was grow too.... dried chicken. I had salad and one piece of chicken, cole slaw... then a small piece of cake and ice cream. Was so happy to leave.

That family drives me crazy sometimes! The older children hate God, bash everything I believe in, and yesterday I had to listen to them complain how Country Music is ruining the world. Really?!!!? That's why I colored! Focus on something else! I could go on and on, but I'll stop here. My actually birthday was crap between 3 and 7:30pm, but the rest was okay.

Geee... I rambled on and on again. Sorry.

Tonight is our monthly get together with our friends, so that will be nice! Friday I had an interview that went pretty good (for a new child next school year) and today at 3:30pm I have another one. Then will come the hard part, who to say yes to and who to say sorry to. Hate that part, but happy to have choices I guess!

On that note I should stop and let your eyes rest from reading my babble, hee hee.
Thank-you again for the birthday love! You ladies were the good part of my birthday!
HUGS

Cyndie, Truex came in 8th at least it was another top 10 finish.

Your Sunday meal sure sounds good too! :) You are the right kind of person! :) Just like us not perfect and we don't eat sensibly sometimes, but other times we do. Balance. Hehe!

Missy, consider me to have joined in with Susi in singing happy birthday to you!

Susi, you are such a team player! I know that your Facebook friends are just like Spark people friends and happy to have you back home!

I do agree with you. I don't see the point in being retired if I never enjoy myself. The right kind of person would eat sensibly when she went out but...

I know that Greg is like the rest of us, happy to have you home. I'm happy to hear that he's enjoying the race. Go, Truex!

I made roast beef, oven roasted Yukon potatoes, and green beans. I know your Stouffer's lasagna was good.

Take care of yourself and enjoy the last of your weekend!

Hugs!

Cyndie

Cyndie, it is good to be home. Only thing is I woke in the night and got up. My bad! I got to thinking of my facebook games I got so far behind on and wanted to catch them up. I play a criminal case one and a farm one and others depend on me to help them get to their goals too. I felt bad I couldn't help them for so long. Silly me!

I am caught up now though and soon I will go back to bed. :) I think Greg will get a Stouffer's lasagna to throw in the oven for the race today. I'm craving it anyway! :)

I'm so glad you are enjoying yourself eating out and such. :) It's easy to do that when you can. It gets you out of a rut and makes you feel good. :) You'll get back on track when you're ready. :)

Linda, thank you so much for the reminder! :)

Greg does take very good care of me. I'm so happy to be home but very worn out. They took good care of me in the hospital too. I like their meals and I had a private room, that happens more often than not now that they expanded. :)
