Cyndie, I'm not crazy about writing checks but I do. I pay half my bills online and the other half by mail. I like the quick and easy of online, but I know the post office needs to be kept up too.

Dad has 1 autopay bill and the other 2 I write checks for. I don't care to have the autopay, you never know when it's going to mess up. I do like though, at least most of the time for the auto deposit. We always know when the money will be in the account. Hehe!

I woke up this morning to an inch of snow. GRR! We weren't supposed to get it till Sunday but Greg said on last night's news it was coming last night. *heavy sigh*

Susi, I am so happy to hear that you were able to get a new appointment with your doctor!

I have to admit, Jimmy and I aren't fans of paperless. He retired from the Post Office, so he likes to do things by mail. As you know, our bank left town. One of my friends stayed with the replacement. She said her "autopays" haven't been seamless. I'd rather write checks!

I hope that you and Greg had a good day!

Hugs!

Cyndie, a lot of places are trying to go paperless. I keep getting pop ups all the time when I'm paying online bills that want me to. I have a few that just switched and hate it. And what if the internet goes down and you haven't paid one yet? You don't get the bill in the email or anything like that can happen. Drives me nuts.

Congratulations on joining the challenge! I know you will do wonderfully! :) Just focus!

I did call and got a new appointment at the doctors, they can get me in on March 8th. :)

Susi, as we know, I'm older than you, so I guess they hadn't dreamt up those fancy birth certificates yet. I guess it's like the paperless office of the future that has yet to materialize.

Thanks for the tip on birth certificates. You're always teaching me something!

Spark-wise, my big news is that I have joined my first Biggest Loser Challenge. I hope I do well!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Missy, I forgot to tell you my cake was chocolate with white icing and pastel sprinkles on top. :D

Yep, that does make sense. Was it very expensive? Kelly picked mine up for me and it was $30. Personally I think it's ridiculous! Oh well, guess they are in the money making business with everyone else.

I'm glad your headache at least lightened up. That has to be so hard on you to get them so often like that. :(

Thank you again for the birthday wishes. :)

Thank you Cyndie! I suppose they were trying new stuff way-back-when I was born. LOL! Could you see me going someplace where I needed it for something and handing them a card with holes in it? ROFL!!

Actually you can get anyone's birth certificate for a price. You could get Jimmy's even your folk's they just cost to get them.

I'm still in shock about the scarf! Hehe! Oh, I can see how easily that could happen. :)

Hi Birthday Girl! I'm not a sentimental person, but I have started to save my cards. I love your book idea! As for your birth certificate, how modern and progressive! I guess we can see why that never caught on!

Missy, when it comes to your birth certificate and Papa Bear's, I guess that all's well that ends well. With all the privacy laws these days, I'm surprised you could get Papa Bear's. Wishing you well with the blood work!

I went to the mall today. I had to go get a scarf for my BFF. She meant to get it while we were together, but we were so busy walking and talking, that she forgot. I know you're shocked. LOL

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hey everyone, and the birthday girl!!!

So glad Greg is taking good care of you and you are having your relaxing day you wanted!!! WooHoo! I'm so happy for you. Glad you enjoyed lunch and will have a good dinner too!

Hee hee... no, I live in a town. I was told I had to go to the city the hospital I was born at was in... so I went to that city. BUT now, we can get them at our own town halls I guess. So I could of just gone to my town. Does that make sense?!!?

My headache did get better... still there, but better. I'm just keeping up with the medicine to keep it mild.

Hope you had a good day Auntie Cyndie.

Susi, hope you continue to be spoiled and enjoying your birthday! Happy birthday!!!

I love the birthday teddy Missy! Thank you! (big smile) I am having a good day, doing next to nothing! Hehe! We went to Arby's for lunch and brought us each a sandwich home too, for supper tonight. It was so yummy, I haven't had them for a good while. That makes them taste extra good. (fat faced piggy)

He must have said happy birthday 20 times today. LOL! He keeps asking me if I want him to take me anywhere too. LOL! I just want to veg all day. Hehe! I got him reading an Art Carney book so that finally settled him. Hehe!

Sorry you had to make that trip for nothing, well at least you got it. We have a city hall right here in town but no town hall. I didn't know there was a difference. LOL! I'm glad you got it though and got your blood work done. Someone told me you have to take 2 bills with you too to prove you live there. It's confusing this Real id thing. Oh well.

I hope you can get rid of that headache soon. A long time back Dawn was getting them almost constantly and she had to give herself shots for them they got so bad.

Happy birthday Susi!!! Hope you are having a good day so far?!! Relaxing, doing whatever YOU want!! I'm sure Greg is making it a special day for you! Love that he got you a cake! (wink) Proud of him!!! What kind? Enjoy the rest today!!!

I went to the city hall... got myself sick with stressing about going... and got my birth certificate. Then as I paid, she looked at me and said... you know you could of gotten it at your town hall?!! GGGRRR!!! I thought I could of, but my FIL said no. ggggrrrr. Anywho, it's done. I found a good easy spot, the lady was nice, and it was a quick in and out. After going there, I went to our town hall and got Papabear his. I wasn't sure if I could, but I could, so he's all set now too.

Blood work was easy in and out also. So that is done. Now food shopping, budget, and collecting what I need to get my new REAL ID done (driver's licence). That will be good. I might try and go today, we'll see. We are getting snow tonight into tomorrow, so not sure yet what I'm doing.

I have such a bad headache today. I took some meds, but it's not helping. Thinking it's my head cold coming back... gggrrr... started with coughing this week again. I WANT SPRING!!!

Hope you are having an awesome Day Susi!!! Happy Birthday!!! Lots of HUGS coming your way!!!

Oh, and I love your card idea. I save some of peoples for the same reason... but I should do like you, discard the older ones. Hope Greg's birthday card to you was super sweet! Enjoy!!!

Thank you Cyndie! (piggy face smile) I don't ask for anything at all for my specials, just to not have to cook, and I want a card. I know the card sounds silly but, in my thinking, a special card from your love, if anything would happen to them, you would have the last card they gave you with their signature on it, that makes it a special keepsake. When we get the next one I toss the older ones.

I have all the last ones of most of my family who have passed and I keep them in a special book. It's just a quirk of mine. LOL! Greg did go buy me a cake yesterday too. Of course we had to have some of it for dessert last night. Hehe!

Missy, I love how Papabear did that with the tractor! That is ingenious! It would be fun to make one for Ollie sometime. Hehe!

Greg still is in the frame of mind that dad knows most of the time what he's doing and saying. His dad did most of the time and sometimes not, so he thinks dad is that way too. That's why it's harder for him to deal with than me right now. I know that at least 98% of the time dad has no idea what he's talking about or doing.

If mom could have waited one more day for me to be born my favorite Uncle Eddie would have been my Dutch Uncle. (smile) His birthday is tomorrow. I also share my birthday with Jackie Gleason.

Good luck with your blood work today. The year I was born the birth certificates were computer cards, all they had were reading holes in them. That was the only year they did that. It always made it hard for me.

Kelly said she would get me a readable one, so it was only about 5 years ago when I finally got one that you could actually read what was on it. For years when I was young I thought I was adopted because of the card, till my Aunt Betty showed me my cousins Dan's card. He's a few months younger than me.

Oh, my friend Joanie, she is doing good but still sore. She had a follow up with her doctor yesterday but I haven't heard from her yet. She was walking for 10 minutes 3 times a day.

HUGS!

Good evening ladies!
Everyone has gone home and I cleaned up. It was nice having our friends over. It was a nice evening.

Susi... with the cake, Papabear used wood blocks to build like a table to put the cake on. Where the tires are, is where the "legs" of the tables are. He wrapped all the wood in aluminum foil. The big back tires are whoopie pies and the front small tires are chocolate covered dough nuts. Yeah, he did a great job!!

Glad your Daddy's cough is better. I'm glad you can get through those hard visits. I hope Greg is able to soon, like you. I know it's hard, but happy you found some way to not feel so bad like he was making you feel as you left. Hugs!

Yeah so it's just another day, but it was a special day!! God picked that very day to celebrate YOU Susi, so that is what we will do tomorrow! (wink) Enjoy your dinner/lunch out!!

Auntie Cyndie... Hope you had a good Monday! Any big plans this week?!!? You and Jimmy doing anything fun? Hope whatever you do is enjoyable... even if it's chilling at home. (wink)

Well just wanted to check in. Tomorrow is blood work and going to city hall for a birth certificate so I can get my new licence. After that, maybe some fun, who knows... hee hee. Hope you all have a good day... especially you Susi! HUGS!

Linda, it's great to see you on here! I'm sorry to hear that it was a rough weekend for you. On the other hand, it's good that your hubby was there for you!

Missy, I'm loving those cakes from your father-in-law's birthday party. As Susi said, I'm hoping that there's an easy fix for Younger Cub's car!

Susi, happy birthday to you! I'm glad that you've arranged to have your birthday meal out tomorrow. It sounds yummy!

WooHoo to Truex! Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Missy, I didn't expect you in over the weekend anyway.

I hope they could get YC's vehicle fixed, if not really soon. I always hated being without a vehicle when Greg worked and something happened to one of ours.

Can you take Mucinex for your cough to help get that stuff out? I hope it gets better soon.

Dad was better today cough wise but still the same old complaints. I'm good with it though, just wish I could get Greg better about it. It still bothers me but not like it use to and not for as long.

Just going out to eat tomorrow. When you get my age it's just pretty much another year. LOL! I'm just happy to be here for another year. (smile)

It's so good to look at your loved ones when they pass they way you do. (loving smile) I do that too and think how lucky they are to be with the Father on the special days.

Papabear did a great job on the cakes! I love the tractor!! How did he get it to stay up like that? I'm thinking cardboard glued on dowels and cookies for the wheels? Enquiring minds need to know. Hehe!

Have fun tonight.

Morning ladies... checking in real quick...

Susi... sorry you were all alone on here this weekend. I hoped to pop in, but never did. Sorry.
Glad Greg fixed your car! Papabear has had to do that a few times to fix things for our vehicles, so it's an easy fix!

Speaking of fixes, Little Cub was coming back from his soccer game, and his spark plug, or something around there went! He was on the highway, so pulled over. Papabear told him what to do, then he drove it to the garage. Hoping they can fix it today! Being down a car stinks! I need mine this week. I can actually escape my house, and get errands done. Big bummer!

Susi, sorry your Dad's visit on Friday wasn't the best. Hope he's better soon! My cough started back up yesterday... dry cough... and I was up all night! I tried to sleep in, but couldn't so got about 4-5 hours sleep. I know that's normal for you Susi, but NOT me, hee hee.

Cute picture of Ollie! Love what the place did. My sister cut both of the cub's 1st cuts. As I left with Older Cub's the wind took it and I lost it. So in his book is his second cut, hee hee.

Susi... tomorrow is your big day!! WooHoo!! If I don't get on here tomorrow, know everyone, that tomorrow is Susi's birthday!!! HUGS! Hope you are doing something special!

Glad you are taking care of your craving... yum!

Auntie Cyndie... So glad you had a nice weekend with your BFF! Sorry she's still working, but glad she can still come a visit!! That's awesome! Walking the mall is better than nothing. Hee hee. But like Susi said, it was all about having a good time with her, so no worries! (wink)

Melissa... Happy to see you on here. Glad you connected with you old HS BFF! Hope she is close by and you can get together also time to time.

Hope you had a good weekend! You getting ready for Lent?!? I can't believe it's almost here. Did you sign up for that Matthew Kelly thing (receive his daily email videos)?!? If you want, I can sign you up?!?! Just let me know.

Hope you have a good week!
Oh and feel free to post the QOTD... I appreciate the help!!!

Mom/DanLin... I know this was a hard weekend, but I wish you try to remember those happy times! Memere would never of wanted you to be sad!!! I take these times (her birthday and the day she went to Heaven) as happy times to think of her, remember my memories, and share those happy times with others!!! I went to mass and prayed, thanked her for loving me, and told her I love her! Glad Dad was there for you, but wish you weren't so sad.

This weekend could of been an emotional roller coaster for me, but I choosed to remember the happy!

Saturday was the anniversary of my Memere passing (15 years) and my BFF did the special mass for her police officer daughter who was killed (3 years now). I chose to celebrate them, not be sad.

While at mass I prayed to my Memere... talked to here and told her how much I miss her, but know she is happy in Heaven with God! I asked her to check on Ashley, my friend's daughter, and I can see them enjoying a tea together sharing stories!

After Mass my BFF did a dinner and it was nice talking, seeing all her memories of her daughter, hearing her stories, and not shedding tears, but smiling!!!

The rest of my weekend (Sunday) was my FIL's birthday. We all went to breakfast, then back to his house for gifts and cake. Papabear made the cakes. One was a tractor and the other just a regular sheet cake. Since Grampy likes white cakes, the tractor cake was white and the sheet cake was chocolate for us chocolate lovers! Papabear did a great job! This is a picture of him and his dad with the cakes.

It seemed like this weekend was non-stop. But it was good. Oh and the snow... about one inch, and then all rain all day! Today is VERY windy! 60 mile winds or more at times...

Tonight we are having our friends over for our monthly get together. It's our turn at our house, so that's nice. Hoping all goes well.

Okay, I have to get going... run those errands and I want to clean the bathroom and wash all the floors! Have a good day ladies. Hoping to keep popping in all week...
HUGS!

Cyndie, back to the same age as you tomorrow. *sigh* I have to wait to get my medicare too, for me though it probably won't cover much. Maybe it'll at least pay for my supplement. LOL!

I'm glad you're back. Melissa didn't want to come and chat with me over the weekend and I got lonely.

We're going to visit with dad today so I can have tomorrow off. Hehe! I decided I wanted to go to Arby's, I've been hankering for a beef and cheddar. Then we'll get something to bring home for supper. Sounds like a good plan to me! (lazy smile)

I knew you and your BFF would have a great time! Even if you do nothing it's still a good time! Hehe! It's okay that your food wasn't spark friendly you had a good reason to celebrate. (smile)

Linda is right, Truex came in 2nd. (big smile) Of course we would have liked it better had it been first, but he sure did a lot better than last week! It was a little boring though after all the wrecks last week.

Linda, I do hope you are feeling better now. I'm glad your hubby was there for you.

Hope everyone is doing great. Have to admit, this weekend was not a great weekend for me, I was down in the dumps all weekend, glad I had my hubby with me.

Watched the race on TV yesterday that was in Atlanta, it was a uneventful race but I was happy for Susi and Greg that Truex came in 2nd place, I was routing for him, too!!

Have a great Monday everyone, hugs......

Missy, you're right, my BFF still works. Like me, she's 62, but she has to work until she turns 65 and can get Medicare. Congrats on Winter Break! We will miss you, but we want you to have fun!

Susi, I can never get over how cute that Ollie is! As for your dad, I'm sorry to hear about your dad's mood. On a happier note, that Greg is so mechanically inclined! Who knows what causes cars to go crazy?!?

Melissa, it's good to see you on here! Congrats to reconnecting with your high school BFF! Between that and what you have going on with church, it sounds like things are going positive direction!

As always, my BFF and I had a great time! We went out to eat Friday and Saturday, and it wasn't Spark Friendly. We did walk around the mall yesterday, but I don't think we offset the damage!

I'm happy to be back in the Valley!

Hugs!

Missy, thanks for reminding us about your time off. That way I won't be bugging you and worrying if you are okay when you don't come in here. Hehe!

I am so very lucky with Greg and his eating, he's not picky at all and will eat just about anything. He even likes it when I concoct something. LOL!

Speaking of cars, Greg got electronically inclined today. LOL! My milage thing somehow ended up showing kilometers instead of miles and my temperature thing kept around 2 degrees. He's been stewing over it for a few days now He decided to unhook the battery and hook it back up and that fixed it! Go Greg!

Yep, today was dad day. He was in his "mood" today. Not nasty but complaining about most everything. We just listened like we never heard it before. He was doing a lot of extra coughing and it was a dry cough. I talked to his nurse and asked her to talk to his doc about getting him something to help break it up.

I don't know if it'll do any good though because it's probably mostly his emphysema advancing again. I can only hope they can give him a little relief. I gave him hugs and kisses from you and Cyndie and he said thank you and sent some back. (smile)

Nothing planned for the weekend. Ollie is doing great and got his first ever haircut. Hehe! Not sure where she took him but he was sitting in a car getting it done. He looks more like a little man now than a baby.

They gave her this little certificate with his picture and a lock of his hair. (smile)

HUGS!

Good morning ladies! Happy FRIDAY!!! I need this SO much!! It's been a few weeks for me and I'm just ready to relax!!! I also get next week off, so I'm super excited!!! I forgot about that! WooHoo!!!

Auntie Cyndie... I'm so excited for you. I'm so happy you are having a weekend with your BFF! Does she still work?!? I'm thinking so, because then you two could meet anything. Have a great time... and like Susi said, we know you will have fun, but HAVE FUN!!! (hugs)

I always thought when I had a family I would do better with cooking. I get those spirts, like Susi said, now and then. But I think what crushed my drive to cook was a very picky husband. Now he's better, but when he analyzes each meal... like last night... it makes it unfun. I know he's trying, but. And the other person in the house right now is Little Cub who is just like his father, when he was younger, VERY PICKY! Anywho, have fun when you get those moments to cook! If not, enjoy those "quick meals". (wink)

Susi... aaahhhh... cleaning the vehicles! I hope we have a nice day next week so I can clean... or at least wash my windows in my vehicle. It needs it. Glad Greg had a good "Springy" day and all worked out for you both! Love those days, hee ehe.

I always forget, is today a visit dad day?!? I hope if it is, it's a nice visit. Tell him I said "hi".

What are your plans for the weekend?!? Anything fun or just hanging around at home?
How's Ollie doing? I'm sure he's doing great and acting cute as ever!!! Love little ones... when they are good like A, D, LMFP, and Ollie!!! hee hee

I keep forgetting that next week is "Winter Break". I'm planning a lot to get done, so we'll see. I have to get my licence done, or at least get a birth certificate at city hall so I can get that new type of licence. I need to get my blood work done for my physical... this time fast the correct way, hee hee. And we are hoping to visit the college in ME for little cub. Other than that, it's all free time for me, woohoo!

Okay, well D is stinking up the room and LMFP should be here soon. I'll be back to post the QOTD and check back in. Have a good day ladies!!! HAPPY FRIDAY (before a vacation... woohoo)!!!

Cyndie, you may find yourself taking spells in the kitchen. I go through that off and on. One week I'm all about perfect cooking and baking and the next few months it's easy stuff. It just comes and goes, at least for me.

I'm so glad your BFF can visit! Have fun, but I know you will, just wanted to say it!

Susi, I do agree with you, I love quick cooking! In theory, when I retired, I considered spending more time in the kitchen. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm still pretty new to this retirement thing!

Missy, I agree with Susi, Talk time with Papa Bear was a great way to spend your evening. And again, I'm with Susi, I'd rather sleep in than have a shower!

My BFF is supposed to visit this weekend. As you can imagine, I'm looking forward to spending time with her, so if I'm not on here until Sunday, don't worry!

Wishing everyone a happy Friday Eve!

Hugs!

Missy I saw where the snow storm was heading up that way. We're supposed to get the severe rain.

I think it's better to get some possible sleep in rest than a shower in the morning. Hehe! I hope the kids got settled quickly and it wasn't too bad with them coming early. I'm glad your headache wasn't very bad this morning.

I think it was better to be able to get some quality talk time. I'm glad you did! Much better than cleaning anyway. Hehe!

Yep, Greg worked outside for a while today. He cleaned the truck and car up and did just a little in the yard. We went to the grocery and got stocked up this morning so it worked out great.

Morning ladies. Happy Thursday.
2 hour delay. We got about 2 inches and then the freezing rain on top again. Very messy out on the roads... Icey. BUT, like Susi, we are supposed to get to 45 today!!! Not sure about tomorrow, but Saturday or into Sunday we are supposed to get another snow storm.

Poohie... B's mom just text and she's dropping him off early because they have a meeting still in the morning I guess. A's dad had to do the same thing, and he still has his meeting after school... bummer! I was slowly getting up this morning when A's Mom text saying the Dad was on his way here. I guess no shower this morning! I wasn't expecting him to another hour! That was a bummer!!! Oh well... my fault, I took advantage of the two hour delay trying to sleep some.

"A" came in crying, but got out of it, so that is good! Praying today is a better day! As for my headache, I woke up with a VERY mild one, so I'll eat something and take some meds just to make sure it stays away! It's GONNA BE a good day! (wink)

Last night was a quiet night. I decided to not go to the gym due to my headache. I told Papabear he still could go, but he decided to stay home and work in the basement. He turned on the heat down there and while it warmed up, we sat and talked. Next thing we knew it was 9:30pm, so he decided NOT to work downstairs, and we watched a couple shows and off to bed. It was nice to talk...

Auntie Cyndie... I love that Kim was trying to keep you there! Glad she's the boss and can take that time with her Mom!!! I hope you two do meet more often for lunch... or walks in the good weather. Sounds like a good plan! WooHoo... I'm excited for you, hee hee.

So what's on the agenda today Mrs. Retireee?

Susi... sounds like another good recipe! I'm all about easy too! We had our turkey last night, now I have to think of a recipe to use the leftover meat. I have ideas, but missing ingredients... since I didn't know I was cooking a turkey this week. (gggrrrr) I'll have to go looking later. Enjoy your potato soup!!!

So with this warm weather, does that mean Greg will be outside?!? I hope if he is, he's careful and doesn't work too hard! Don't want him sick. I'm hoping it all works out that they all nap at the same time today, and I can go shovel the rest of the snow, clear the driveway nicely with our 40 plus weather!

Well more kidos will be coming soon, so I should get going. Hope you all have a good day. I'll be back... HUGS

Welcome to the Valley Susan. Stop in and chat with us?

Missy, today for sure on the potato soup. Hehe! I'm glad Sparks doesn't give us demerits for bad eating. LOL!

It's supposed to get to 44 here today and tomorrow, but Saturday even though it's supposed to get to 52, there's a storm front moving in to the mid Ohio valley that could get to us. At least for now the white rain has disappeared.

I hope your headache stayed low and hopefully gone this morning. Were you able to have that quiet evening last night?

Cyndie, you're welcome too for the recipe. Yesterday on facebook someone posted a biscuit recipe that looks soooo easy and doesn't use yeast. I may have to try that one too. She said they make them a lot for breakfast and it's so quick. Oh I love quick cooking! LOL!

I love that Kim was trying to keep you there visiting her by reminding you she was the boss! That is so sweet! And now that you're retired you could visit with her in the afternoon and go to lunch with her. Sounds like a great plan to me! Hehe!

Susi, I'm happy to hear that Greg stayed in today. I admit, being able to stay off the roads as a retired person is a perk I'm enjoying. And thanks for posting that soup recipe. It looks delicious!

Missy, I'm sorry that you have a headache. I do agree with Susi, you are such a special person to do what you do! And thanks for understanding that I HAD to eat that Danish!

I think it's great to donate clothes so they can help people. Since Kim works at a university, they're collecting clothes for college kids. When I went to visit her yesterday, I was trying to leave, but she kept saying, "Mom, I'm the boss".

Welcome to the Valley, SUSANZOUSLEY!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Thank-you Susi for what you said. HUGS!
It's hard, but I try to remember the good days... those summer days off... when I have bad days like today. My headache is now at a 4 from a 101 being the worst, so I'm happy with that! They are all gone home and I see a quiet night for me.

Yeah, sometimes you just have to have something that's bad (not SP). The soup does sound so good! Thank-you again for the recipe.

Glad Greg stayed home and was safe!!! There is always tomorrow. (wink)

We have a new member in the Valley... I just wanted to welcome SUSANZOUSLEY! Happy to have you here!

Missy, not spark friendly at all but I'm still going to make it, it's soooo worth it! I couldn't make it today though, we ended up under a level 1 emergency and the streets were slushy slippery so I told Greg I didn't want him going to Walmart this morning. Tomorrow. Hehe!

Maybe though some changes, use fresh chicken cut up small, real taters, low sodium soup, low fat cheddar, the only thing you will really need though is the bouillon. Just a thought.

LMFP found out young it's fun to sit on laps. Hehe! I know though it's a real problem. I hope it will stop. I don't know how you deal with days like this. (sad face) It takes someone really special like you to handle it even if it does drive you crazy.

Thanks Susi... sounds so good, but so not SP friendly, hee hee.

Hope everyone's day is going well. LMFP is obsessed with sitting on D. She is driving him crazy. He's sick of her and trying to get away (as fast as a belly dragging baby can). I guess her brother lets her do that, but it's hard to make her understand not to a BABY! The mother is working with me, so hope she stops.

B, right now is crying. I think he's tired. He's been pretty good till D cries because LMFP sits on him. It's a vicious circle...aaaggghhh. I'm so ready for today to be done!

I was going to check in, but as soon as I sat down, B started crying. So I'll take care of him and hopefully be back. I hate today...

Morning ladies! Happy Wednesday! Thank-you to all who take time to pray tonight for our friends and family in need! God Bless you all!
emoticon emoticon

I have such a bad headache this morning. I'm assuming it's my women issues, or maybe my grumpiness, hee hee. I'm trying to be in a good mood, but just not happening, so I will keep this short, not to pass my grumpiness on... hee hee.

Auntiue Cyndie... that was VERY nice of you not to make Jimmy feel bad, and having a piece of danish. What a good wifie!!! (wink)

That was very nice of Jimmy to donate his suits! I forgot about that. We just donated one to Goodwill, bummer. It was just a jacket, but still. Oh well. Good thinking Jimmy!!!

How is Kim doing?!? Hope all is well! Does she visit more since Mom is retired?!? Hee hee... I know, her schedule didn't change, but hoping I guess. Is her work far? Could you meet her for lunch here and there?!?

Susi... hee hee... the only walking the stairs I did was getting a few things. I was not a good girl last night (sad face with my head hanging low).

Hoping your snow behaves!!! Good luck with that!!! Ours is coming tonight into the morning. But we should only get 2-4 inches and as the day goes on, it's supposed to get into the 40's!!! Crazy weather! No wonder why no one here can get better!

We weren't worry about the recipe Susi, we know you will when you have a minute. Thank-you!

As for B, he's doing okay so far today. D went near him, since D is sort of crawling, and he cried, which got D crying. But I have kept them a part and now that D is napping, B is playing nicely with LMFP. As for the bottle, she brought a cup with a straw and says he loves it, so I tried it and he did the same thing. So I'm done. again, not worrying about it! He eats, so he's fine.

Well I'm gonna just rest some and hope they stay good, so my headache can go away. I 'll be back. Have a good day ladies! HUGS

Missy, walking the stairs is a great workout! I wish I could do more of it, but my breathing won't allow me to. (sad face)

Greg is going to pick up a few things at the grocery today but me, Yup! I'm staying in! So far we only have a dusting of snow, but it didn't start till close to 3 this morning.

So if B's mom gives him his bottle on the way home, I am assuming he holds it himself. Hmm? I don't blame you for not messing with it especially when he hits at you. That needs to be stopped. I do hope his mom knows about that. She needs to nip that in the bud and fast!

Cyndie, it wouldn't have been nice had you not eaten the danish after Jimmy went to all the trouble to get them! I'm proud of you for not hurting his feelings. (thinking about Danish and feeling fat faced too) Hehe!

That was nice of Jimmy to donate the suits for the needy. (smile) Maybe now he can come do Greg's. LOL! Oh while he does that you and I can visit! (big smile)

I didn't forget about posting the potato soup recipe, just never got around to it yesterday so I do promise I will post it this afternoon. (sorry eyed face)

Susi, Jimmy did get some Danish while he was out. I knew it wasn't Spark friendly but I figured that since he had risked life and limb to get it, the least I could do was eat some (fat face).

Missy, I'm glad that you had a good President's Day with Papa Bear and Younger Cub! As for LMFP, I feel sorry for her. As for B, no bottle holding, no walking. Hmm...

When it comes to cleaning out, Jimmy did clean out a few of his suits. I took them to Kim's job today. They're setting up a closet for people to go out on job interviews.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Good evening ladies. I had planned on going to the gym, but Papabear can't go, and well I dropped my membership, so I need him to get in. Oh well, tomorrow I guess. He was asked to play soccer, so it's good for him I guess. I'll walk in place, up and down the basement stairs, hee hee.

Susi... your snow tonight into tomorrow must be our snow coming Thursday. They are talking the 2-4 inches and a mix after again. Stay safe!!! Hope you are staying in tomorrow.

Yeah, 24 piece puzzle is enough for me, hee hee. He's now ready for a 3000. No thank-you! I will say I was kind of grumpy with him tonight though. He's all headachey (sp?) and tired!!! I wonder why... ggggrrrr! Two nights in a row not getting to bed on time, yup, that will do it! MEN! He had dinner and went straight to the couch to sleep! Glad he can rest. I was up too from him not being in bed, the lights in the house and noise he made. Yeah, glad he got to sleep. ggggrrr.

MOVING ON...

B did settle down some. Much better as the day went on, so there is hope again. She wants me to push the bottle, but he's not drinking here, so I try, but when he hits it away and me... I'm done trying! She gives it to him on the ride home. He does eat during the day, so I'm not worried. If he really was thirsty, he'd drink.

Hoping this was a sign he's doing better though.
LMFP was a hand full today. I think she has a molar coming in so she was gagging herself trying to feel it?!!? At lunch she did get sick again some, but it was choking on gummys, so no more of those here. Hoping tomorrow is good for them all again!

Well I think I'm gonna go shower and then work on my photo book. I'm guessing just a few more pages to this book, then calling it done. Getting closer... hee hee

Hope you all have a good night! Stay warm, safe, and sweet dreams!

Oh, Auntie Cyndie, saw this on FB and wanted to share... does it mean Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is coming back?!!! I hope so! I liked him!

Missy, I'm glad you got to sleep in yesterday, but boo on B today. Hopefully he just settled down.

Oh yes, the wall paper is up. It's only that lower part of the wall from the front door to the top of the steps.

The city is putting down brine today and tonight we may get 2-4 inches.

I do love Papabears puzzle. Hehe! I couldn't sit that long at one time though and do one, I would have a numb rear. LOL!

Morning ladies! Happy Tuesday?!!! Hope it's a good day for us all!

Yes, sorry OI should of popped in to remind I was taking the day off yesterday. I slept it to 10:30am!!! It was very nice! I had so much planned for Sunday and Monday and did nothing but relaxed and had fun with Papabear and Little Cub. So I was fine with that, hee hee.

Susi... is all the wall paper up now? Hope so. Glad you and Greg have the relationship you can tell him "you were right", hee hee.

Sorry about the race and Truex. Hoping it's just a bad start for all those racers and will get better next weekend/race!! You got this Truex!!! As for Greg's dinner choice... awesome!!! My fav!!!

Good for you for Taking Sunday off and enjoying your relaxing day! I did some house work too Monday because I pushed it, hee hee.

We got the white rain yesterday too... 2 inches, so not bad. It was cold though and like you Susi, it was single numbers this morning and now up to 13!!! Stay warm (and safe)!!!

No problem about forgetting I was "off" yesterday. It's not your job to remember my schedule, hee hee. Thank-you for caring!!! HUGS!

Auntie Cyndie... glad things turned out good for you with your taxes. We have to do ours soon! I know Papabear has pretty much everythingh ready for them (and the cubs). So soon!

Very sweet of Jimmy going out to get you both snacks! Hope they were enjoyed in the warmth of staying home and not having to go out!!! So glad you are enjoying life Auntie!!! Keep it up!!! (hugs and winks)

Melissa... So good to see you pop in. Like Susi said, when ever you can is great!!! We love hearing how you and Anthony are doing! (hugs)

Oh I'll take football any day over golf!!! So happy Papabear is NOT into watching golf... sorry! hee hee. Glad Anthony enjoys it though...

I agree with you all about the taxes and winnings. Glad Anthony won, but sorry it's gonna cost you... bummer!!!

Matthew Kelly has SO many books! It was just their 10 annoversary, so they offered people $10 off on their website that day. I should of told you. They have lots of FREE CD's and books and you just pay shipping. I got a book and three CD's... I like listening to him at the gym. They were all free and I was able to put the $10 they were offering off, to the shipping! Loved it! Here is his page. Sign up for his "Best Lent ever"... they send you videos each day during Lent and you can listen to him. They are like 5-10 minutes. I love them! They do them at Advent and Lent. Actually, if you want I can sign you up to get them. I just put in your email. Up to you. Anyways, here's his site... Dynamic Catholic...
dynamiccatholic.com/

The books I have are...
* Resisting Happiness - great book to stay with and he has to have it on CD
* Perfectly Yourself - was good too!
* Rediscover Jesus - the one I was working on reading, but need to find time
, hee hee
* The Biggest Lie In The History Of Christianity - haven't read yet

But go to the website and go to CD's section and they have many. Allen Hunt... I think is his name... has some there too and is nice to listen too! He just did the "Best Advent" videos and I enjoyed him. Any more questions, just let me know on here or FB. Happy to help if I can! God bless! HUGS

Awesome about going to an RCIA meeting!!! Are you in RCIA, or did you already do everything as a child?!? I know some people at my parish help with RCIA to help bring them closer to God and their faith, who are already Catholics. Proud of you!

I don't want to sound preachy or pushy, so never take me that way. I'm strong in my faith, but in no way a professional or expert. I just know how much my parish and faith has changes me and my family's life. I just got a Matthew Kelly daily quote the other day and loved it... "Our suffering test us, but they are all tailor-made to bring us closer to God. When God sends us a cross, it applies uniquely to our own situation." - Fr. Andrew
I liked it. God Bless.

Melissa, so you get a break soon (for school)? Next week is February/ Winter Vacation for us all. Hope you do so you can relax some. Happy you stopped in to the Valley!!!

Speaking of stopping in, good to see you here too Mom/Danlin! I do know you come and read stuff on here, but don't always post. Hope Dad and you have a good day!

I didn't do much this weekend. Worked on some pages for my photo books. Just about down book #2 for 2017 year. I'm at the end of August, so I'm happy with that, hee hee.

I did go down in the basement, but mostly did laundry and convincing Papabear to donate, hee hee. We did drop off some boxes of stuff at Goodwill, so that's good! He keeps saying I can get ride of more, but my stuff are decorations, like one bin for each holiday. I have gone through them and tossed, but I have to keep some. Men. I just have Summer and Spring in one bin, Halloween, Easter, crafts, and Christmas (more than one bin, hee hee). I have a bin of the cubs keepsakes... which why is it "mine" I don't know. Have a bin of bins, takeout containers for reusing for whatever, bin of plastic containers/tupperware, and the rest he considers mine are paper good for the house, parties, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, tissues... to me, that is not mine either, but whatever.

The washer area is mine, but the rest of the basement consist of... his tools, wood, his crafts, old electronics (we have to keep just in case... aaagghhh), games, HIS TOYS, HIS LEGOS, paints, outdoor stuff, the piano, and Older Cubs *rap he insist on keeping! My thought, why have a bin of clothes of his that he never goes into and wears! That means he doesn't need it! The last part of the basement is "Papabear's walk in closet". Hee hee... he has the most clothes and shoes!!! crazy!

So yeah, I didn't do much cleaning, hee hee. Know all my stuff is nicely organized and labeled nicely! WINK!

We did a lot about talking about our house this weekend. What "projects" we want to do and a timeline, etc. I think it was too much for Papabear... Monday he was all pooped and out of it. Though, he did work on his puzzle all weekend too and finished it... a 2000 piece. Sunday night he stayed up to almost 4am, so that didn't help... hee hee

Okay, well one great thing of having Monday off, was having it off! But that means my "Monday" is Tuesday, and that means it starts with B...aaagghhhh! He's been better today, but will cry for no reason and just sits, won't play! He can walk holding on to stuff, so not sure why he won't get up and walk. I bring him over and try and he cries more, so I'm just letting him be! It's better than his last day here, so I'll be thankful for that! Today will be a good day... Hope you all have a good one too!

Sorry for the LONG post! HUGS

Cyndie, Jimmy probably figured if it's going to be miserable out and you're staying in, the snacks will help make the weather feel just a tiny better. Hehe!

We're all of 18 this morning and there's a 100% of white rain tonight. (nasty face) Then of course rain tomorrow. I'm so tired of all this. I shouldn't complain though so many like you and Missy have had it so much worse than us.

I got the potato soup recipe last night but I'll post it later. (smiling licking lips wanting it now)

Missy, sorry I forgot you were all off yesterday. I had that Senior moment. LOL! You'll get them some day too. Hehe!

Linda, it's good to see you on here! Your race day menu sounds yummy! You're right, when it comes to those wrecks, the important thing is that everyone was able to walk away!

Spark Twin, I agree with you, it doesn't really seem like a win, if you have to give it back to the government (sticking my tongue out)! I hope you feel better soon!

Susi, I'm sorry to hear that Truex didn't do very well yesterday. I'm definitely pulling for him at Talladega! I'm glad you got out today, and were even able to get something for Greg!

We got an inch of snow last night. Jimmy went out on a totally unnecessary snack run! When he got back, he said the roads were bad. Of course, I'm just enjoying staying in!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Hi Linda! Good to see you here! Yes, that last big chunk of laps was really full of action! Love that you spoiled hubby. I let Greg choose the race day menu, we're bad we eat in front of the tv. Hehe!

Missy, I hope all is well.

We got and are getting them again some white rain flurries. Just a little dusting and hopefully that will be all.

Morning gal pals, I watched the Daytona 500 yesterday with hubby and it was nice to watch a race again, we love racing. It was a fairly quiet race until the end and then WOW, what accidents they had. One crash had cars flying everywhere, just so happy that everyone walked out of it fine, even though their cars didn't. I made hubby his favorite homemade meatballs with peppers & onions on noodles for supper after the race and sugar cookies for dessert. I spoiled him yesterday.

No body ever promised us a tomorrow.

Hate is a very strong word.

Think before we use it

Have a wonderful day!!!!

Cyndie, Denny Hamlin won the race and Truex came in 35th. There were sooooo many big wrecks, not too unusual for the Daytona race though, but these were crazy ones collecting a lot of cars each time. They had 3 red flags and I couldn't even begin to tell you how many caution laps. The main thing is no one was injured. (big smile)

Next week is Talladega and they usually have a lot of wrecks too, it's the biggest track. There will more than likely be a few who try to get even because of yesterday's wrecks.

I think it was the taxes that lucky financial group. (dollar signs in eyes) I dread getting ours done.

I did take yesterday off so I have to clean today. I went to Dollar General and got a couple kitchen things and got Greg a nice pack of stencils he can use when he builds or changes the appearance of one of his clocks. Doesn't take much to make him happy. Hehe!

Melissa, it's good to see you here anytime you can make it. (excited smile) I'm sure glad Greg doesn't like golf.

I love it when I can tell Greg I told you so. LOL! I'm not afraid to do it either! Hehe! He usually apologizes for not listening to me.

I'm so happy for you that you are getting back to the church again! I know you do find life better with it. And I keep meaning to ask how your sugar is doing. I remember you mentioning you were having other problems from maybe drinking canned pop or something?

Greg takes Xyzal for his allergies and it works quite well for him, maybe you can try that if you haven't. You may want to ask your doc first though in case it would mess up your other meds. Our doc recommended it to Greg.

Hi GalPals!

I just don't find much time for Sparking any more! I make myself work before I get on here so I can keep up with the job, but then SP goes pretty much unnoticed!

I didn't even hear who won the Daytona 500. A. seemed to be watching golf all day long.... I'm sure it wasn't all day but seemed like it. Then I could be wrong and it may have been on all day long! We do have the golf channel after all!

Susi-- sounds like Greg keeps himself busy!

I can understand your frustration with Kelly!

Ah, I can also relate with Greg not listening.... I advised Anthony on doing something and he didn't listen and guess who was right?

Twyndie-- I agree! You must find a new hobby! HeeHee!

Our taxes are going to be bad this year! anthony won on some lottery and the casino and that will hurt us. We will have to pay!

At this point I don't see the fun in winning if we have to give it to the government who doesn't know how to manage anyone's money!

Missy-- Remind me what Matthew Kelly book you are reading. The biggest Lie isn't out on audio yet. Father Johnathan is going to have a book club meeting around that book starting during Lent.

I went to church today, received communion and went to a RCIA meeting!

You have been a good influence on me! HeeHee!

I hope everyone ends up having a great week this week! I hope to be able to check in more. My students should be all set for about a week.... then again, who knows?

Plus my allergies have been killing me. I am all headachey and sinussy and dizzy! ugh! Keep warm & safe!

Susi, you're right, all of us Pine Valley Gal Pals like blue!

You and Missy were wishing good financial things for me and Jimmy. It might have been that we didn't have to buy a washer, or it could have been the taxes.

I hope that you decided to take the day off. I'm loving not having to adhere to a schedule!

I hope that you and Greg enjoyed your spaghetti! I'll be eager to hear about the Daytona 500.

Enjoy your evening!

Cyndie, I do believe we all share the love of blue. Hehe!

Awesome on the taxes! I haven't scheduled ours yet but I will tomorrow. SInce I've had that "affordable" health care, we've had to pay. We have to file taxes on that too. :( I'm just glad I don't have to get dad's done too.

Greg's really looking forward to the big race today. He requested spaghetti for it. Somehow I knew he would. LOL! I'm thinking of taking today off too and doing the cleaning tomorrow.

Susi, you have taught me so many things, it's about time that I returned the favor! That story about Kelly was great! I forgot to say it yesterday, but I do like Greg's latest project! You know blue is my favorite color!

Missy, we love when you're able to stop in to visit us over the weekend! That's great that Papa Bear is working in the basement, and you're going down there to putter with him!

Jimmy and I went to get our taxes done today. Thank God, the news was good! We got a little more back from the Feds than last year, and we owe the state a little less.

Looking forward to hearing about the Daytona 500 tomorrow! Go Truex!

Hugs!

Missy, I haven't heard from Kelly yet today, so maybe they will be going to visit dad tomorrow. I think what bugs me the most about Kelly is that she only goes to visit him about once a week most of the time, so she really doesn't see what goes on, not only with his meals but other things too.

But of course she still tries to make it look like she knows everything. I get very annoyed with her when she starts in.

Greg said thank you. :) He does really good at putting wallpaper up, he did mess up with a whole strip yesterday which wouldn't have happened if he listened to me, but we still had enough to finish. He was excited about putting it on and since it's on an angle it's a little harder to do. Told him so. Hehe!

I'm glad Papabear is working on the basement! :)

Cyndie, the Super Bowl of auto racing starts tomorrow! The Daytona 500! They had a small 2 race shoot out yesterday and there were 2 Truex's in it. The other one was his brother. He didn't make it in the race for tomorrow, but he was doing pretty good too.

Our Truex is starting 11th tomorrow, so GO TRUEX!!!!

Hello ladies! Popping in and posted my 5% challenge and couldn't leave without saying HI!

Susi... glad you both have a good doctor and love him! That's always helpful!! Hope I get that way... well at least LIKE... my new regular doctor. Maybe it's just me. I'll be seeing her Monday, so we'll see!

I agree about your Dad, he needs more than snackies. It's hard because you want them to enjoy, but you don't want them to get unhealthy. Hard one. Sorry. And sorry you don't have support at least from Kelly (we know TJ is nothing). Hopefully the home nurses, etc, will help you. HUGS!

Thanks for posting a pic!!! It looks great!! Good eye Greg! Glad you like it too Susi! You guys work good together!!! Very nice!!!

Crosley... when I think of them I think of record players! They are the best for those I know!!! We have/had a Crosley telephone too. I say "have/had" because we have it, it's on the wall still, but sadly doesn't work. It was the month after the warranty expired. I was VERY bummed! I think, even though the cubs won't admit it, one of them were cleaning it and got water in the receiver part. It had a cord still, but it looks like the old rotary phones. Since my kitchen is sort of to the corky and fun look of the 50's, I kept it up for the design look. I loved that phone and if it still worked, I would still use it (yes, with a cord too). Love how you have lots of Crosley appliances. Very cool!!

Oh ya, love how Ralph told Greg he needed more food, hee hee.

Auntie Cyndie... I agree with Susi... you need to find another retirement hobby then moving your appliances around, hee hee. You two be careful!!! My fridge is so low, a lemon wouldn't fit under it. Thank goodness because ours is tucked into the wall too like Susi and is a pain to pull out. I did one time to clean behind it and I ruined the floor. So now I make Papabear do it. Actually we are due to do that, and the stove. Thanks for the reminder, hee hee

Hope everyone has a good day/weekend!
Guess what Papabear is doing... YUP, cleaning the basement...aaaahhhhh. That man drives me crazy, hee hee. I'm going to putter down there to be with him, and do laundry too. But I'm sick of my basement, hee hee.

Have a good day ladies. HUGS

Cyndie, you taught me something new, I didn't know about the Crosley Field thing. Our dryer and fridge is Crosley too. They are well made.

Dad needs to get more nutrition than what he gets with crunch, sweets, taters and desserts. He doesn't see it that way though. I do get a bit irritated with Kelly, she usually laughs about it. And that is coming from someone who....

When she was about 8 I had taken 3 fairly large pieces of Wesley Fudge cake to mom's. Dad was always hanging around there after their divorce so there was a piece for each of them. We were out swimming and I told them about the cake. Mom went in and said what cake? Kelly had eaten all 3 pieces and laughed about it. That was probably what helped start her diabetes.

Ouch on the lemon behind the fridge. Stuff like that always seem to go to an un-reachable place. Our fridge is in a kind of nook between a wall and a cabinet and it's hard to get in and out. We've had to do that before too.

Yep, you both need to find something more fun to do now than moving appliances. :)

Susi, I'm impressed that you got a Crosley washer. I'm pretty sure that's the same Crosleys that Crosley Field was named for. Great Buckeye State! As for your dad, I can understand him liking to fill up on snacks, but as you said, it can't be condoned!

Missy, I admit, I'm encouraged to hear that you're considering dropping "B". I can understand you feeling sorry for his parents, but life is short! As for LMFP, we know she's good but still...When it comes to popcorn, I like Orville Redenbacher Smart Pop.

Today I was putting some lemons away, one went behind the refrigerator. Of course, Jimmy and I had to move the refrigerator. We've got to stop using our retirement moving our major appliances!

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!

Missy, she may not be a fussy pants anymore but she knows how to get attention. :(

Yes, I very much enjoyed it! So did Greg. :) I was still full this afternoon though. *sigh* And if I had to do it again...I would. Hehe!

Doctor Bruce was really good with Greg too, and teased me along the way. LOL! I love him! Greg does too. He did change his diskus inhaler to the same stuff in a regular inhaler. It's a little stronger.

He wants to do a baseline lung scan, he pretty much does that for all his patients. Greg's good with that. He made Greg's next appointment with the one I had so we didn't have to make the extra trips out there. :) The appointment went very well! :)

They did have a Valentine's party for them at the home. Oh my though, he had a whole drawer full of snacks on Tuesday and today he had 3 packs of chips, 1 pack of chocolates and 1 pack of cookies left out of all that! Grrr! The chips are the lunch size bags, the chocolates were hershey kisses that were unwrapped and had about 2 doz. in each baggie, and the cookies all had 6 in the baggies.

I talked to his nurse and she said he's been going down for meals but mostly just eating mashed taters and gravy then his dessert. I told Kelly not to take snack to him for a while. She thinks they aren't cutting his meat small enough for him. I say that's bull but she and Kyle are going out tomorrow at lunch and seeing about it. Hmph!

I know he's filling up on all the snacks is why he's not eating much. I don't mind having them there for him but I won't condone him eating them as a meal. Okay off that box. On to another one. He was griping about one thing right after another today. I hate to say it but we didn't stay long.

After we left there we stopped to get another refill at the pharmacy then went and got the paper. Got home and had another thing from JFS and I needed to go back out and take another paper to them.

Ralph, Greg's outside cardinal bird he loves to much, told him he was about out of suet so Greg had to go to Walmart to get him some more. He came home with a couple things we needed and an expensive roll of wallpaper for the steps coming up from the front door.

It's a vinyl that you peel and stick. It resembles a bluish paneling. :) It's on and look so nice.

At the upper right hand corner below the chair rail you can see some that looks like a blue marble. That's the old paper. I knew you would want to see it. Hehe! On down from that is the new stuff. I really love it even if it was expensive. It was $33 a roll! YIKES! Glad we didn't need more than one.

Oh Greg did good with the washer. You didn't forget, I didn't say what it was. It's a Crosley. Good Housekeeping, our local home based appliance center use to sell nothing but Maytag, Now they do Crosley, it's even better than a Maytag. It's energy efficient and has a load sensor that detects the size of the laundry and fills the water accordingly. You can do it manually too but why would you? Hehe!

I guess you could say I/we had a pretty full day today. Poof! I'm pooped!

HUGS!

GGGGRRRRR....
I had most on my message done and LMFP came over and hit my mouse. ALL GONE! aaaaggghhh.

Okay, let's start again...
Good morning ladies! Happy Friday YAY!!!

Susi... I'm so glad you enjoyed your Valentine's Day lunch out!!! So you ate too much/it wasn't SP friendly... You enjoyed it, right?!!? That's all that matters! It's not like you do it all the time, so good for you enjoying it!!! So happy it was yummy! I hope Greg enjoyed it just as much as you!

Hoping Greg's appointment meeting the doctor goes well. It's great you found such a great doctor and you both can see him!

Also hoping your visit to your Dad's is a good one today! Did they do anything for them at the home for Valentine's Day?!? Hope they did and it helps keep him in a good mood!

Lastly, good luck to Greg with doing his 1st wash in the new washer!!! Hoping all goes well and it's simple for him to learn. I forgot, what kind did you get?

Auntie Cyndie... WooHoo getting your first " Social Security deposit"! Hoping it's all you wish it will be, hee hee! It's gonna be weird, huh?!! Love you and Jimmy are enjoying retirement life!!!

Grocery shopping... always fun times, hee hee
Papabear is all into his popcorn each night too. But he's is not so SP friendly. I found one that is oil and sea salt I enjoy. Butter bothers my tummy, so this works out great. I get the store brand, but have tried the Newman's and that was good too. What kind do you get?

TRUST me, I have thought of getting rid on B many times!!! I had three other people I turned away this last time I was getting new people. The thing is, he HAS to grow out of it. I think if he keeps coming and getting older he'll grow out of it?!!? Worst case, next school year I'm supposed to be getting A's baby brother H, and I think A will still be coming. They should both be going to full time to, so IF I want, I can say see ya to B. I am strongly thinking of it. My problem, I feel bad for the parents having to find someone new. I'll just keep praying for something to change. God always is there for me (wink).

Oh Susi... loved that Greg didn't get you candy!! Hee hee. He listened!!! Good boy!

Only time will tell with Little Cub and his choice for college. It really comes down to paying more money and having that freedom, or paying less and getting more experience. Talking with UNH, they will take his EMT credits (he's doing right now), but won't take the fire 1 credits. So maybe the school in ME will take both?!!? Something to also ask. We just got to get there!!

Okay have to do snackies. So far today is going great with D and LMFP! Love Fridays!!! AND, I have Monday off!! Normally have it off with Papabear, but they made him have to work. He was going to still try and get it off though. Normally LC would still have school in our town, but since he is going to a class at the near by city, they take the holiday too, so he has the day off also. Not sure what I'll do, but I do have my physical that day also, so I'll just be relaxing and enjoying my day off!

Hope you all have a good day too today! I'll be back later!

Cyndie, I love that Jimmy gave you popcorn. :) I told Greg NO candy, so he bought a cake. LOL! Oh well. Hehe! I sure didn't have a spark friendly dinner either, but I had to have what I wanted. :)

Greg has his first appointment with my doctor Bruce this morning. He's my breathing doc. Since he has those spells now and then we wanted him to get established with Dr. Bruce just in case. The last time he had one of his associates and that doc had a rotten bedside manner. Dr. Bruce is awesome.

After we leave there we will visit with dad. And then I get to make sure Greg knows how to use the new washing machine CORRECTLY! Hehe!

HUGS!

Happy Valentine's Day, Gal Pals!

Susi, I'm glad that your bill paying went well. I'm looking forward to paying bills next week when I get my first Social Security deposit! I'm happy to hear that you had a good Valentine's Day lunch!

Missy, I hate to say it, but "B"'s parents are spoiling him. I don't blame you for looking forward to him not being there! Of course, I hope that everything works out with Younger Cub's college decision!

Jimmy and I are definitely enjoying spending more time together. We went to the grocery store yesterday. I gave him candy for Valentine's as usual. He was happy and gave me popcorn, which was Spark friendly!

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Missy, Greg does most of the washing. Of course I have to know about it too. (smile) He went ahead and took the old one out so it sure didn't take them long to put it in. (bigger smile)

Missy, I hate saying this but maybe for next year you can tell them you can't take B anymore and find another to take his place? Just a thought.

I hope LC chooses the college in ME. From what you mentioned in the past it would be the best one for him. But he has to like it too or he may just not want to be there.

We enjoyed our lunch out today. I ate too much, still full and may have to end up taking a Tums. I'm such a pig. (fat face and fat everything else)

Morning ladies!

Yes, Happy Valentine's day to you all! Hope you all have a "Lovely" day/evening with your loved ones!!

Susi... Glad your visit to you Daddy was a good one.
I hate those idiot lights too in the cars! I have an airbag one on. I didn't want to spend the money to replace, turn it off. We had a car, think Papabear's now, that had those tires. Hate that and we did the same as you. Just another thing to get more money out of us! ggggrrr

Sort of sorry about your washer (that's two... hummmm). I say sort of, because you seemed okay with getting a new one, hee hee. Enjoy washing!!! Or is it Greg?!?!

As for your bottle idea for B, I have tried that. When he first started holding it, at 6 months, that is how I did it. It lasted a month and has been like this since. So annoying! I think just once it has worked again for me. So thanks, but already been there, done that.

Good job on your bills! Hoping yours goes just as well as your daddy's did. (wink)

Auntie Cyndie... I think you have gotten more snow than us this year. Usually we are pretty even, but I think you got hit more and our up north of the state has gotten more then my part of the state. I'm fine with them getting it all, but said for you. Hoping we both are coming to Spring days soon!

Sorry about your washer, but happy it was an inexpensive fix! And great job working together!!! hee hee Do you find yourselves doing more "projects" together now?!? I think that is what Papabear and I are hoping to do. BUT really I mean, me planning/designing and him making, hee hee.

I'm so happy it's Thursday! LAST DAY WITH B here this week! I just can't take this kid!!! The ups and down are crazy! I think he's been here for almost 3 hours and I have had 1/2 an hour of NO crying! He's mad any of us are near him, that a baby talks, a toy makes noise, that we walk, etc. It's CRAZY!!!

Yesterday I was happy when I got a text at 11:30am from his Dad. The Mom dropped him off saying how she has a meeting after school so the Dad would pick him up, but it would be closer to 4pm (gggrrr). The Dad texted asking if he could pick him up at 12:30pm.... YES!!!! He came and the rest of my day was great!

This morning she dropped B off saying how it was good the grandmother lives next door because the dad got home and started getting sick. aaagghhh... I feel B is still sick, and being sick, they hold him, sleep with him, etc. So now after getting a week of it, he doesn't want to be here.

Yes, happy it's Thursday (since he doesn't come Fridays) MOVING ON...

Last night was the college thing. It was a lot of repeating from when we visited, which I figured. But we got a free meal (sort of good... not really, but the salad, roll, and dessert was yummy!) I do like the school a lot and they seem like they offer good stuff, help with job placement well, etc... but the cost it high. I still think the place in ME is good for LC, but we have to get there and check it out soon! Over all, it was a nice out with my Little Cub and Papabear, so that was nice.

Well on that note, D is ready for a bottle and soon it'll be lunch for the kidos. I'm so ready for nappy today... it's really been a day!!! Funny how LMFP has really only been the good one, hee hee.

TTFN....

Cyndie, I'm glad you adapted quickly. (smile) When I first quit work I hit the ground running and didn't stop for a VERY long time I found I got burnt out from it and now it's hard at times to get the motivation to do things I use to do, and it's harder to do them too.

Of course that mostly comes from my breathing problems which are made worse when the weather acts up. But try not to burn yourself out. I hate seeing that happen to anyone. I guess with me though having to take care of so many parents over the time it moved my burn out up faster.

I don't mind so much having to get the new washer, at least they will match now. LOL! That one has been through the ringer, no pun intended, but it sure worked out that way. Hehe! I've done Greg's greasy work clothes and dad's icky britches in it and many other things, so it did it's job and time to rest. (smile)

I'm glad your washer problem wasn't as bad. When Greg had to balance ours a time or so he would lift it and put something under it so it didn't have to be turned over. Ours sits back in a nook so he would just adjust the front legs to match the back. More often than not though it was just because too many clothes got to the same side in it and they had to be moved around.

Bill paying starts today. I have dad's finished, his are easy now days. Just the check to the home, and one of his life insurance that I still need to pay even though it belongs to the funeral home now. His part B is deducted from his check each month. That's it for him. (feeling lucky smile)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I chose to eat at Steak and Shake today. We'll go around 2, probably shouldn't be too busy then. (feeling fat already)

Missy, we did get the same snow you did. Jimmy does have a snow blower, but he does use the shovel to do the sidewalk. Don't worry, you didn't ruin Strahan for me. And I didn't say anything yesterday, but I agree with you two about "B" (especially's Susi's plan)!

Susi, I admit, I know what you're saying about getting it in gear. I must say, I have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly I've been able to adapt to not having a schedule! I'm sorry to hear about your washer. On a happier note, I'm glad your visit with your dad went pretty well!

Jimmy and I had a problem with our washer, but we were more fortunate than Greg and Susi. It was out of balance so it ended up being a "couple project". He had to turn the washer over so he could even the legs. Once the washing machine was moved, cleaning ensued!

Stay safe and warm, Gal Pals!

Hugs!

Cyndie

Missy we only ended up getting a small dusting of the white rain. It's gone now surprisingly because it's only 33 out today. It was -2 for a while. (chattering teeth)

I guess I've just gotten use to less sleep over the years, but I do hate it. I laid back down this morning for a couple hours though. And did have a nap this afternoon. I guess that helps make up for the night sleep I miss.

Dad was doing good yesterday when we visited him. The same complaints about still being "here" and such but I just let it slide. Greg can't seem to reach that point though.

I went to JFS myself this morning. Greg ended up taking the car to get checked. The light on the dash said tire low. He went to put air in and it still said that. Turns out there is a sensor on the air insert and it went bad, no effect on the tire.

He took it to get checked and the guy said it's on each tire and can be replaced for $100 each! Yikes! It's okay not to have it done, just the light would stay on. So we didn't mess with it right now. Which lead to the next problem...

Greg started laundry and when it started spinning it started banging. I figured it was just out of balance..not...the transmission went out of the motor. GRRR.. so off to get a new washer. They will bring it in the morning. It's over 10 and I guess that's good for now days, so it was time I suppose.

Too bad you can't just lay B down, hand him his bottle and if he really wants it he will hold it. Hehe!

Morning ladies! 2 hour delay today. We got four inches of snow then freezing rain. So the bottom layer is ice because it's below freezing and the top layer is ice. Gotta love it... NOT! The roads are okay I guess on main roads, but side and back roads are slushy. Our road that one school is on, is just slush. Hate mornings like this with little cub driving to school.

Sorry you, Cyndie & Susi, both got the "white rain" too. Hoping it wasn't too bad and you are okay today! Be safe!!! Papabear said it was VERY heavy!! Be careful Jimmy!

Susi... hope your Dad was doing good and it was a nice visit yesterday.
I felt like you this morning... the robo calls for the school delay came in at 5am and I didn't fall back a sleep till 10 minutes of 8am, when I was getting up at 8am. I hate that and do not know how you do it! Hope you were able to get a better rest last night!

Be safe running your errands today. Does Greg go with you, or a solo run, hee hee?!? Be safe!

Auntie Cyndie... Hope I didn't ruin the show for you talking about it (the AMC reunion). Sorry! I didn't think. I should of waited... sorry! Let me know what you think...

I'm hoping your snow is not heavy. Jimmy has a snow blower, right?!!? I hope so!!! It's actually snowing again here... yuck! Hoping yours stops. Spring is coming, right?!!??

Susi, I forgot to say... don't get me started on B and babies... hee hee. Ollie sounds like he's like most babies I watch. D is the same... holding his bottle at 4 months! B is just weird. I can't figure him out. You know at the beginning he did start to hold it, but now doesn't. I guess he does with her (sometimes) but not with Dad or Grandma either. Weird child... hee hee. Ollie sounds like he's doing awesome! Great job to Mom & Dad!

Well time to go post the QOTD... I'll be back. Have a good day ladies! Be safe!

Missy, your dad is ornery! LOL! Sometime in the night the rain turned white. GRRR! Not that I didn't see that coming but I was hoping it wouldn't.

I honestly think B's mom needs to work with him more. I can't believe it's a development when they can't or won't hold their own bottle at 10 month. I know Ollie has been doing it since he was 5 months and he only has one now at bed time, he's drinking by himself out of a sippy cup or one with a straw. I know I shouldn't compare like that.

I'm glad you won't be missing night out with the girls. (smile) I hope LC's College night goes well. Oh my, it sure doesn't seem like it's been a year already since your friend's daughter died. I will be saying extra prayers for your friend.

Cyndie, I did get back to sleep but only for a couple hours. Then it was time to get up and take my meds. I decided to wait till the afternoon to visit with dad cause I just couldn't get it in gear. I don't think he noticed though but I did tell him when we got there.

I hope you didn't get all the extra snow. I didn't have the nerve yet to look out and see how much we got since I first noticed it. LOL! I do have to go out today though to run papers to JFS to renew dad's Medicaid but that's all.

Missy, thanks for letting me know about the AMC "special". I recorded it, but hadn't watched it yet. I think you're right about Strahan & Sara. My mom said it's struggling for ratings.

Susi, were you able to get back to sleep? As Missy said, it's sweet of you to sleep on the couch for Greg.

We woke up to seeing everything covered in ice. It has now moved on to snow. We're supposed to get 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight.

Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

Hugs!

Susi, glad the rain isn't bothering you guys! Stay dry!
Our snow started around 2:50pm and is coming down fast! Collecting fast too! I texted a pic to my dad and sister and my dad came back with "it's 81 here, but raining". I gave him the tongue sticking out face!!! hee hee.

B was B... gggrrrr... I ignored him most of the day. As long as everyone stayed away, he would be happy. But if I walked by him or LMFP, he'd get mad. D too actually since he drags himself around everywhere now.

I know it's sort of mean, but when I was feeding D, who just turned 6 months, he will hold his BIG, HEAVY, FULL bottle to drink. AND B, who is 10 months won't even touch the bottle. I try to teach him, moving his hands up and he freaks out, so I just hold it. But I said to B, "look, this is how you do it" when D was drinking and holding his own bottle, hee hee. Of course he doesn't understand, but I thought it was cute... hee hee.

The teachers are hoping for a day off tomorrow, but if anything, it'll be a 2 hour delay. Which is what I want!!! hee hee. He's hoping.

Honestly Susi, it was SO not worth watching. They talked over each other, the show seemed very disorganized, and it was a short clip. I was going to check the time, but forgot. Was a bummer.

We were supposed to go to the college thing tonight with LC, but it was moved to tomorrow night. I was bummed because I was going out with my girls, but that got cancelled due to one having the flu, so all worked out I guess. Now just have to reschedule our girls night out.

The 27th will be the anniversary of my BFF's daughter being killed (the police officer). She is doing a special mass for her on the 23rd and then dinner at her house. So we'll be going to that. Hope we can get together another evening too, just us ladies.

The 23rd is the anniversary of my Memere's passing too. The end of February is not good. I have 4 special people I lost then... but the 24th is my FIL's birthday, so something happy in it all I guess.

Okay, I'm babbling, sorry...
Hope your rain doesn't freeze Susi. Be safe Susi and Cyndie.

Missy, I hope B straightened up for you at least some today. Bummer on the storm heading your way. We're getting rain, most of the day. I'm glad it's not snow, but our rivers and some peoples basements can't take anymore. (sad face)

I forgot about the AMC thing, but it sounds like I'm glad I did. Sure sounds like a big waste of time to me.

Good morning ladies.
The storm is coming for us... they already called early release for our town. I wish it was the city near us so B could be picked up early!!! gggrrrr He's come in and he's his normal pain in my bum! Fussy... and that's being nice.

ANYWHO...

Susi... sorry your dreams were keeping Greg up. Your a sweetie getting up and sleeping on the couch. Hope the dreams stopped so you could sleep.

Good about the rain melting the snow, but sorry to hear you are getting more. Our snow is mostly gone due to the rain/freezing rain we got too. Hoping they are right and we are only getting about 2 inches around here. But some stations are saying 4 to 8, so we'll see. Stay safe Susi!!

I don't mind some weird art, but being children, some were very disturbing to me. I know it's art, but I felt some were so well done and got silver or honorable mention. There were some silver winners that looked like a photograph, but was a drawing!!! But the ones getting Gold were like a 10 year old drew it. I just didn't get those... hee hee.

Auntie Cyndie... Love reading how you get to enjoy a lazy day at home with your snowy/rainy days! hee hee Looking forward to reading what you and Jimmy do in the good weather!!! Should be fun!!!

I actually did enjoy the art show. I think having my in-laws and Papabear there and seeing their faces made it unenjoyable for me. I felt like I should of went a lone with Little Cub. But I said sorry to my MIL as we all left and she said she didn't care. She was just happy to be there for her grandson. So I let my mind end with that and not feel bad, hee hee.

Hope you stay safe with your crazy weather too Auntie! Glad Jimmy can take the shoveling slowly and not rush.

So did anyone see the AMC "reunion" show on Sarah and Strahan yesterday?!!? What a waste of time!!! I saw on FB all the post about it and how mad people were before I say it. So when I watched it last night I had to agree. It was so stupid, made me miss my show more, and they played it up like they were going to be on it longer.

It was Erica, Jackson, Dixie, Opal, and JR.

They had them re-enact a couple scenes. It was funny, but they could of used their time on the show so much better I felt.

And in the FB complaints people were saying how Sarah and Michael (the host of the show) used the time to ask the soap stars to ask "us fans" to give their new show a chance. I agree, they did do that and was so wrong, again in my eyes! I think it just ticked us all off more!

They ended with the stars saying hello again to lots of their old crew, who now work on this show. That was sad. Again, made me miss my show even more!!!

Okay, I'm done... sorry! hee hee
Hope you all have a good day! I have to post the QOTD and go feed the kidos snackie... TTFN ladies!

Cyndie, I sure hope spring gets here soon. I'm about ready to contact the love angel to shoot Mother Nature!

The rain melted all our snow yesterday and we're supposed to get a few dustings coming up. I don't know if it's doing anything out there this morning, I haven't looked out yet.

I've been up for a good while. I've had one dream right after another for some reason and they were all those silly stupid ones. Problem is that I was talking outloud and waking Greg up. He thought I was actually talking to him.

I felt really bad about it so I waited till he got back to sleep the last time and just got up. I'll be laying down on the couch shortly. I don't want to wake him again.

Spark Twin, it's good to see you on here! I'm praying that you recover from your vertigo soon! I'm happy to hear that your Catholic meetings are going well. The rosary gift for your friend sounds perfect!

Susi, as always, I appreciate the information on Truex. Talking about NASCAR helps me feel like Spring is on the way! When you get the soup recipe, I'll be looking forward to it. As Missy said, I like easy!

Missy, thanks for posting the photos from Younger Cub's award ceremony! Even though you thought it was kind of boring, we know you're savoring it! Are you fully recovered yet? I hope the kiddoes were good!

Jimmy did get out late today to do the driveway. I do think that's one of the things he's enjoying about being retired. Other than that, we just stayed in today. Stay safe and warm, Gal Pals!

Hugs!

Missy I'll be sure and share the recipe when I get it. It may be a while, they are very busy people. I'm with you on the football. Greg doesn't watch it much but I'm still tired of it. LOL!

It rained her most of the day and all the snow we got is gone. We may get a bit more on the weekend though. *sigh*

Wonderful pictures!! I suppose some people's idea of art isn't the same as others. I don't much care for the crazy kind of art either.

Melissa maybe like when I had the vertigo the crystals in your ears may be out of place. There is a rehab for that and it does work! Maybe look into that?

I'm glad you are enjoying the classes. (big smile) I'm also glad Anthony is reading them to you.

I'm sorry to hear about all the flood damage, but I sure am glad you don't have any. It can be devastating.

I'm glad you stopped in and hope you can again soon.

Great seeing you stopping in on here Melissa!!! So sorry you have the vertigo. My Mom and God Mother have had it. Actually I was just reading my Mom's email from this weekend and my dad is very dizzy and getting sick. Wonder if that is what he has?!!? Hope you are better soon!

I love my Rosary! And it would be a great idea to gift one to your friend! I'm sure she's treasure it, and even more since it was your Mom's! Good luck with that, and praying for her!

I'm not always good at doing the Devotions. Good for you!!! I'm glad Anthony helps you by reading them! So sweet of him!! All great guys on here!!!

Hoping life settles down some for you Melissa! Hang in there! HUGS!

Hello GalPals! I haven't forgotten about all of you! I've just been busy and dizzy!

Having a little battle with vertigo and not sure of the cause!

We had temps in the 70s and now it is cold and rainy, but none of that freezing stuff like y'all are getting!

Missy-- all I can say is one man's art (or woman's) is another's trash! And, when teens are creating it one never knows!! You just have exceptional cubs who don't see things in bizarre terms! Hee!

At my Christ Life meeting this past thursday they gave us a book of Cathlic Devotionals for Feb. & March. It is a book and A. hasn't had time to read me any of them yet. guess what he will be doing tonight? I assume they will have to do with upcoming Lent and all.

It has been really good for me. I'm going to give my friend one of my mom's rosaries like I gave you. I mean, it won't be like the one I gave you, but she is thinking about converting to being Cathlic and she loved my mom and I think it will be a good gift! I gave you one because of your strong faith! I think I may have given you one of the prettiest ones too! HeeHee! I picked it because it was blue.

Susi-- I guess Greg is gearing up for race season and no, really, no pun intended! winking face!

We made a big pot of chili last night to eat tonight! We both like it better the next day!

Twyndie-- I had to laugh when you presented me with more proof of our twinship with your mom having vertigo! I sure hope you never develop it!

Congrats on the new glassses! I'm sure you look gorgeous!

So sorry you have been swallowed up by snow again this year! We had that one really big one and that has been about it. but, it has rained like crazy this past year and now! We have so much flood damage!

We don't have the damage persoanlly, but our city and county still have washed out roads and bridges and they don't seem to be ever working on them!

Now our government is in such an upheaval! They all need to resign and VA start all new!

Well, I'm still really busy! I hate missing out on y'all's lives! Hopefully once all my exams and all are posted I will have a bit more "free" time.... Hmmm, Twyndie, you need to explain that to me! Heehee!

Please, stay warm, safe & dry! Spring is coming!
