oh kris!!!

first, i am SO SORRY i missed this thread!! emoticon i have been away from the computer a lot this week but i never got an email like normal to say there was a new thread started. i am so sorry dear!!! emoticon i feel so terrible, you needed support!

now, how are you feeling?? how long will it take the stones to pass?? i am sending tons of healing prayers your way, kris. this is one thing that is so frustrating with endometriosis, isnt it? we handle so much pain on a regular basis, and the intensity varies--which makes it hard to know if all the pain is endo or not! emoticon i think many women with endo are also afraid of being embarrassed if they end up in the ER and find it's just endo, so that prevents so many from going when they truly need intervention.

obviously you made the right decision going to ER since this pain was worse than anything you've ever had. plus, the low-grade temp was definitely a red flag! i'm so happy you didnt have to have surgery. please let us know how you are doing!!

hang in there, kris! i know things have been tough for you and you are probably exhausted. but you have such a giving, positive spirit and we appreciate you being here!! emoticon

talk to you soon,
love and hugs and prayers!

I gave in and went into the ER. It ended up being kidney stones. I have given birth 3 times and this pain is 10 times worse then that was. I am now pumping a lot of fluids and they are watching me in hopes that they pass. I am off work for at least one, if not more days due to the pain medicine. The "good" news are as of right now, no surgery. Thanks for the concern and I am "glad" to hear that other people have those moments of worrying is it endo or not. Kris

I'm sorry for not being able to respond earlier, but I'm just now getting to check my email.

Where is the pain located? If I remember, right, with appendicitis, the pain is usually front/ center, and yes running a temp is common for that.

I shared this when I posted my intro last week, but I just want to say that I've had the experience of having cramps so bad I couldn't stand up and was pale and went to the ER only to sit for almost 4 hours and be feeling better by the time the Dr saw me. But on the other hand, I've had the experience of waking up in the middle of the night in, again, pain so bad I was doubled over-- and that time I didn't go to the ER for a couple hours (I honestly thought I had a bowel blockage and could take stuff to make it work itself out, I thought this because my DH had had one and the pain seemed similar), only to find out the pain was from an ovarian cyst and I ended up having emergency surgery. Just sharing my own experience on this, I'm not at all saying what anyone else should do in a similar situation.

PLEASe let us know how you are doing

Hey everyone--
Today has been filled with LOTS of pain. I work up this morning at 5 am and could not fall back to sleep due to the pain. MY husband is worried it is my appendix, but I am sure it is just endo being extremely rude and unbearable. Have any of you had times like this where the endo is SO bad that you think it HAS TO be something else? I have a small temp and I am sick to stomach, but nothing has gotten worse then when it started this morning. PLEASE write back. I want to be able to tell me husband that endo people have this problem and not to worry so much. BTW: It is the worst endo pain I have ever felt, but really bad endo is "normal" for me. I'm the one who shouldn't be feeling any pain with all the medicine I am on and having Lupron shots. Kris
