Thank you for the information, I'll try and find some of the shampoo you suggested. Abby rolls in nasty stuff also. I think the squirrels have as much fun teasing as the dogs have chasing. Oh thanks also for the invite to chat will soon thanks.

hello, we have been having a lot of rain here in alabama too, more than usual. kirby and la la la go out as much as usual. i use the 26 feet retractable leashes and when it's thundering and lightning i stand at the back door to the garage and they go out that far, take care of business and come back in. when it's just rain we still go out on our walks as usual. with as much rain as we're having it is harder to keep them clean but after a few days we have a warm sunny day and i give them another bath and they are all pretty and white again. i use the perfect coat antibacterial/deodorizing shampoo found in pet stores. i think they have one similar at target, walmart discontinued carrying the one there i had bought. it's green apple scented and takes care of all the nasty odors my westies get into here at the farm. with this shampoo you can let your westie go out and chase the squirrels and get as dirty as she wants and then get clean again. mine like to chase squirrels too and my la la la loves to roll in poo and it takes care of the smell amd everything..... so it'll get your baby clean too.....lol

kirby loves to bark at the squirrels but has yet to catch one. they like to get in the tree by the window and make him bark knowing that by the time he gets outside they are gone.....they are sooo mean taunting him like that !!!!!

you ladies should join us in the daily chat at........."a special place to meet". we love to talk about our westies !!!!

Hey all.
It's been raining a few days here in TX. Abby my westie usually is free to roam the back yard anytime she wants to indulge in her favorite past time "Squirrel Chasing". But our yard has a few muddy spots where grass wont grow so I keep her in and take her out on a leash just to go potty. We try and keep her entertained as much as can but she is Obsessed (imagine that an obsessed westie) with going out and she cries and howls and makes crazy noises all day long. Kind of drives you nuts after awhile. Does anyone Else's dogs do this or does anyone have a suggestion? Or is this just part of the westie life. Maybe it's just cabin fever on both our parts. Oh well happy Sat to everyone.
