We just had a wonderful dinner tonight. We do a lot of grilling. Tonight we had salmon, grilled corn on the cob, grilled zucchini, and watermelon! Excellent! I love to grill. There is hardly any mess.

As for my workout! Hmm. Well I USED to do the treadmill 4x wk and then I followed SP for the strength workout 3x wk. I just went down to Curves yesterday and signed up. I'll be doing that Tues, Fri & Sat. Those are the days I don't watch Hadleigh. I will have to work my cardio in on the days I watch her either in the morning or the evening. I really need to do this. After all, "If it's to be, it's up to me!"

Rebecky, so this med. diet. It is mostly fruits, veggies and seafood? Where can I go to find out more. I love clean diets.

I understand about have health conditions. I no longer have a disc in my lower back. I get injections, but I have found that I feel a hundred times better once I lost the weight. Maybe you should try swimming or water aerobics. It is a great workout and easy on your joints. I did it in college and it was awesome. I am trying to get my dad into it because he has rheumatoid arthritis. He also just had his knee replaced so he had to wait for it to heal. Keep me posted on your success.

I know what you mean about the Westies! I wish we could all get together.

Your fitness plan sounds like a PE teacher...awesome! I am envious!

Thanks for the offer. I have some health problems so I have to be flexible but my goal is to do two or three days of strength training set up by Spark and three days of cardio. When life is good I do five days of cardio a week because I really need to do that much to lose weight.

For cardio I use various aerobic videos. I love the Firm but most of them are now too strenuous on the joints so I am now using low impact stuff that I saw on Exercise TV. I also have some Leslie Sansone tapes but things that are more upbeat work better for me. I'm open to any ideas that you have!

Hi there! I like to walk (usually 4-5 miles at a time, though Ailie and I have been known to get carried away and do 7 or 8), I love Turbo Jam, I bought a spin bike last month and hop on that when I want to watch a movie or don't have time to walk or do TJ. I also try to remember to do strength training a couple of times per week.

Wow! You're doing great!

Well, I started out on the recumbent bike doing only 10 minutes at first then worked up to Spinning 70 minutes. I also like to hit the treadmill, although, since I've been watching Hadleigh my workouts have declined. I also have other weight equipment & a stepper. I like doing strength workouts with Coach Nicole.

I recently changed my eating habits to the Mediterranean way of eating. I wasn't able to find a Spark People Team that was actively doing that way of eating so I started the Mediterranean Way Team, which is growing with leaps and bounds! Eating "clean" is a big part of eating this way, using lots of fish, fresh veggies and fruits. Meals & meal planning have become a cinch since eating this clean way.

PE Teachers are becoming far and few between. Why have the schools dropped so many of the PE classes, is beyond my understanding? That's why we are getting all these fat kids!

I am just wondering what everyone does for working out. I started weight watchers 2 and a half years ago and I started with the elliptical, then turo jam, jillian michaels videos,jackie, and biggest loser workouts. I am now almost at the end of my p90x. I plan on doing p90x again for another 90 days. I eat an all organic diet and I live an organic lifestyle. I have a lot of knowledge concerning eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle through exercise. I am a health and physical education teacher. If I can offer any help to you guys, I would be glad to. I am just so excited to see so many westies in one place.
