i am so like you with the water on an empy stomach. i have to pick and choose when i drink it so i don't get queasy too. of course like most everything else, the thing that is the best for you tastes the worst and the things that tastes the best are the worst for you !!

I confess I am a dietCoke junkie. I also drink the Costco version of the Lipton green tea with lemon. When I drink that the weight seems to come down easier.

As for water, I drink it with my supper and during workouts. If I drink it on an empty stomach, like first thing in the morning, I will feel queasy, so I never really developed the water habit. Wish I would.

i haven't had a diet soda in 59 days since being on the no junk food. i just added it to it to see if i could go without it too. along with water, i have tea, lipton diet green tea, fruit 2-0 and crystal light. ocassionally i have orange juice and welch's blueberry pomagranite grape juice.

I quite drinking sodas a few years ago. The place where I was living, the sodas tasted different so thought their might be something in there that shouldn't be. Today, I rarely drink soda, lost the taste for them completely. Water is the drink of choice today or a nice cup of tea in the afternoon.

I'm usually adding something to my water or drinking diet sodas (I'm trying to cut back on the diet sodas), except after a workout. Then all I want is water. Nothing quenches a deep thirst like good plain water!

My DH doesn't drink water either! I love water! I feel so much better when hydrated. That might just be my imagination.

I think the way it helps a person lose weight is that if you're drinking that much water, it helps to keep you full. I read that if you drink two cups of water before each meal, it helps you not eat as much. I do feel better when I drink water, but I also have to admit that when I've lost weight in the past, I haven't drunk that much. The only way my DH gets any water is in his coffee. He and my kids hate water, but at least I can get them to drink it by making Crystal Light lemonade or something.

Interesting! The jury is out on that one. I know that I feel better when I'm drinking my 8 a day. What about you?
