Strange as it may seem, I have never received a 'new member notification'! I've complained to the Techies and apparently it can't be fixed, so I have to just checked daily, hoping that I'm not too late to greet our new members. As for the no emails at all, I have been checking daily to see that I'm not having a problem and I don't need fixing. So far since I've notified my provider the mailer@sparkpeople.com is not spam I've been doing OK. All I can do is keep checking daily and keep my fingers, toes & eyes crossed!

I am having the same problem for the past week - no emails notifying me of new members, etc. I checked my preferences and they are set to notify - I also checked the Spam and it was not there - call me confused- emoticon

I've had the same problem several times. In my case, it's not my spam filter but me accidentally hitting the spam button (it's right next to the delete button on my email screen).

But I like the idea of an icon showing bodily harm to a pc! emoticon

i went thru this for months and was having to read the daily point e-mails on the site provided for those particular ones. i would subscribe over and over. finally they had written on the top i had invalad address and to click and so far it has fixed that. but sometimes i don't get all my spark e-mail of posts and of comments and goodies on my sparkpage. i see it on the friend feed that someone has given them. also on the feed i don't get some status updates. i have re-subscribed to some of the posts to get updates when there is a new post on the subject. it's frustrating but it eventually starts working again.
i still think we need an emoticon hitting the computer with a hammer !!!

Hi Team,

I realized that I am not the only one who periodically stops receiving email from Spark People. What I've learned... It is not because of Spark People but because of my email provider blocking what they suspect is spam, then SP stops sending. Here's what you do to fix that... and you may have to do it several times, whenever you feel the emails are stopped.

Go to "My Tools" "Start" Page
Under where you see you name with a "Welcome 'Your Name'" choose "Account/Email Preferences"
Under the Email Tab if there is a notice that your mail is stopped and you have the option to fix it... do so. Otherwise, still go to the bottom of that page and Choose "Save & Submit"!
