Welcome! We're so glad you joined us on your journey.

I heard a tip once about snacking at night. It said to brush your teeth when you get done with eating. That clean minty flavor will help you not want to eat. It's worth a try anyway... :)

Sometimes it takes less to be more.

Welcome and good luck on your late night snacking. If you figure out how to control it, please let me know. That is my biggest problem and always has been.

Hi everyone My name is Aleesha and I have had type 2 diabetes for over 11 years.I have had my ups and downs with it but for the most part my diabetes has been controlled except for the last 2 years. Last August I was hospitalized because my body stopped making insulin so I had to be put on insulin. when i was hospitalized I had a 9.7 A1c and my sugars were 500 + I take Lantus and now humalog along with actos and glucophage. I have got my A1c down to a 5.2 but it was not easy. I hurt my back last fall and since then have not been able to be as active as I used to be. I do have some tricks to keep my sugar low. I do eat a lot of salads and Sugar free jello which helps when i crave soething sweet. My only demon is as of late is kicking my habit of snacking at night. otherwise I think ( do pretty good:)I just wanted to say hello to everyone! emoticon
