I was like that with low blood sugars and I got to get off of insulin and just take a pill. Make doctor check your A1C numbers to see if that is possible.

THANK YOU!! I am proud of how far I've come, I guess I'm just a little disappointed that I can't keep to my calorie limit, even though I am trying. I know I've been a little hard on myself. I think its just because I was in the hospital for 10 days over the holiday that I am afraid to mess up somehow. I have been having a lot of low blood sugars and my doctor has been adjusting my insulin. I don't know if that is why I feel more hungry or not. Thank you so much for your sincere reassurance! I feel better now that you ladies took the time to give your advice. I just get so worried sometimes, I have so much going on! I just need to try to remember that life happens and I just need to do the best I can.

Best of luck to all of you as well!

Kaye,

DO NOT FEEL ASHAMED OF YOURSELF! You have lost weight and are doing a great job. My big trick is I chew Extra sugar free gum. It keeps from wanting the sweets and keeps me from putting something in my mouth. I keep packs in purse, car and around the house. They have sweet and minty kinds. It helps me so much. We all hit a wall sometimes but you will succeed. You can do this and you are doing it now! Don't give up just keep on going!

Maria

First of all, you're doing great! The more you beat yourself up, the more likely you are to eat when you really don't need to. If you are truly hungry between meals and scheduled snacks, try drinking a warm drink such as some of the flavored teas made by Celestial Seasonings. They will fill you up and satisfy your taste buds at the same time without adding a bunch of calories. You should feel quite proud of the amount of weight that you have already lost. But stressing out only increases the likelihood of overeating. DO NOT feel ashamed of yourself. I for one am very proud of you.

I am supposed to be on a 1200 calorie diet since I had some complications about 2 months ago. I've been doing pretty good, 43 lbs total weight loss, but I've been struggling recently to get below 1500 calories. I've been getting about 1575 calories during the last few days. I've had 2 birthday parties for my kids in the last month, and have been extremely busy. I really want to be able to get back down to eating a consistent 1200 calories but I'm finding that I'm hungry during the day so its hard to do that. I am very conscious about what I eat, but sometimes I feel like I won't make if I don't have a snack between meals sometimes.

Any advice? I have to see the doctor tomorrow and I am ashamed that I haven't been able to keep up with the diet plan as well as I'd like to. I'd like to feel a little better about it and know that I'll be ok.

Thanks!!!
Kaye
