It is called a "COOKS" air fryer.

I have been preparing alot of quick meals with it, such as burgers & fries, hot dogs & fries, etc.

There are people who would rather have greasy food. But, this is so much better.

I've hesitated about the purchase of an air fryer. I'd like to hear more about your experience, the brand of the one you use. We hardly get much use of our little deep fryer but even our convection oven doesn't do fries well enough.

Glad things are moving along for you.

I tried to get online to get paid for some things and discovered I was going about it all wrong apparently. I've been inundated with a plethora of calls, texts, and emails all promising the moon and only delivering more calls, texts, and emails. Arrrgh. emoticon

I submitted an article at 1 pm & want to spend some quality time on Sparkpeople for a few.

How is your day going?

I cannot wait for lasagna tonight!

What are you having for din din tonight?

Did you have any miraculous savings this week?

My roommate allows me to use her air fryer. The contraption is a blessing. I buy big bags of frozen french fries at Dollar Tree.

I am exhausted. Being a freelancer, if you want money, you have to put in the hours.

Yesterday, I made burgers on whole wheat bread with steak sauce & pickles.

Today, not sure what bargain to create!

I really am sorry for not being here every day, but doing the best that I can.

I cannot make dinner until late tonight. What do you think? A box of spaghetti & jar of spaghetti sauce? Cannot get much simpler, frugal & tastier than that!

After returning last night from a weekend away, I could not wait for real food. I had packed bologna & pepperoni with bread so as not to raid my friend's pantry. When I got home late last night, I did not care how late, I threw in potatoes & kielbasa in the crockpot & had German Potato Salad with Kielbasa!

I have some left & am going to finish today.

What is for din din at your place?

Today was an Acapulco Tuna Salad day. A staple recipe for me.

They say the way to a man's heart is thru his stomach. Well darn it, where is he? 2 women keep showing up! aka: my roommates LOL

On inventory, we bought pepperoni! I cannot wait for pepperoni sandwiches! (Our inventory means the groceries we 3 girls each pitch in for.)

Have a super evening!

Electronic angst?

I cannot have one more peanut butter sandwich. Not going to do it.
I love yogurt so much that I cannot stop at one.
Nuts are too expensive.

Thank you anyways GRALAN.

I think my roommate's keto diet is affecting me. I am a Mediterranean.

Basics: Nuts, plain yogurt, and whole grains are low in calories and high in fuel content.

Specifics: Almonds, pistachios, peanut butter, oatmeal, herbed & spiced popcorn, bananas, raisins, kale, Greek yogurt, and hummus are listed specifically.

It is said that it might not be best to overdo caffeine beverages.

This is as best I can do in short notice.

Sorry to hear about all your machine failures.

I've lost many school assignments due to such things. I ended up not finishing my Theology degree for that. I'm wanting now to do so, it'll take 6 months or so and fortunately under $200. I'm familiar with electronic angst is all I'm meaning to let you know.

Short enough?

Thank you!

How has your week been? Myself? My laptop, cellular phone and vape all broke and had to be replaced. Unreal.

I have used a diet that was for using 1-2 days in a row only. All lean meats, less than 20% fat, with no sugars, additional fats, oils, greases, etc. You could use a bit of onion, celery, or bell pepper to help choke all that meat down, and I used a lot of yellow mustard. Vinegar is not a fat, oil, or grease. Candy, Soda pop, alcohol, fruit juices are to be avoided as well. Water, coffee, tea are the beverages of choice.

The point was to try to force your body to be drawing from its fat storage to process the proteins, hence I did it two days in a row.

Steamed chicken breast was my main choice. Drink lots of water, make sure you are taking your medications and be sure to do a multivitamin.

It is dangerous actually to mess with one's body chemistry doing the "Atkins" style of dieting for long term. I know of no medical experts who recommend it. But to do it once a week, two days in a row, pushed my weight loss tremendously. I hadn't thought about that in a long time, it was over 2 decades ago when I lived in Seattle.

I was told to eat reasonably moderate, lots of veggies and greens/fruits, portion control of carbs and proteins. Remember, any calories going down our throat convert to body fat or blood sugars.

All the relatives I have who are eating vegetarian diets as a lifestyle look like they're starving visitors from a foreign land. Their color is off, their lack of good protein sources for the body to cannibalize one's own muscles. So that kind of thin is not good, and they are prone to illness and injury.

I have known those relatives for over 40 years, and there are more than 60 of them I personally know and we are a family that likes interacting frequently with each other. I have also observed the same condition with other people in this country and in foreign countries I have lived in or visited.

Life on the cooking scene has been a challenge. 3 roommates all having 3 different diets.

LOL

Have you ever heard of the Carnivore Diet? Such diet has kind-of sparked my interest. A woman, on a side hustle that I write for, lost 6 pounds in 7 days. The diet seems like a rather easy lifestyle. No calorie counting either. Just everything eaten has to be meat. Her drinks are good also. Coffee, water, tea, diet cola, ... What are your thoughts? You figure, you can stock up on meat sold at Dollar Tree!

Following, do you ever go to use a coupon and the cash register goes bonkers telling the cashier not valid? If so, what do you do? Do you ask to see the manager or simply go without buying the item (s)?

I was playing at Maths, rather than with Mathematics.

16oz of water drank 30 minutes before each meal statistically accounts for 10-12 lbs weight loss over the course of a year. That was tested with a group who sipped water at the meal compared to those who drank 16oz prior to the meal and sipped water at the meal. The latter group lost more weight following the same diet plan.

I'm trying to let folks know, as this is a simple addition to a plan to be healthy and even to stay healthy. Or as some experts say, since diet means "what we eat" this water trick is a lifelong habit for healthy living, not just some fad proposed like Keto - Atkins - NoCarb - High Fat - etc.

Peace to all whom God is well-pleased with,
just as the angels proclaimed.
May the forks be with you,

Want to lose perhaps up to 12 lbs a year with little effort and no cost?

Do that by drinking 16oz, of plain water, thirty minutes before each meal?

16 + 30 x 3 = 10 lbs or more

That's crazy math, eh?

I love beans... black, kidney, etc.

So, as neither housemate can have on their diets, I am going to prepare a bean concoction of mine to keep in the fridge, to have as a simple grab & go, especially in jars.

In the Mediterranean diet, beans are to be eaten daily. I was raised on the Mediterranean diet. But, we hardly ever ate beans. No sure of the reason. But, one thing is for sure... I miss my momma's cooking! Homemade pasta and a fresh garden salad right out of the garden!

Myself? Throwing some boneless skinless in the crockpot in order to make some good chicken salad later.

I need to do some menu planning tonight with the roommates. With all of the restrictions between the two, I need to know who wants what every day, instead of finding out at the last minute. A weeks worth of planning should be good, as we got our inventory today.

It has been raining quite a bit here lately, for south-central Texas. I've been telling folks a couple years now that if I'd wanted the rain and cloudy days I'd have moved back up to the Pacific Northwest rather than having moved here to Texas.

Actually, we've been getting a little more than the average rainfall for Longview Washington over the past couple of years. And some say the weather ain't changing. Bah!

I gotta go try to lay down now. I'm running on 32 hours awake in the past 48. But the fireworks will get me, who am I kidding. Well, no rest for the weary.

Does it rain much in your parts? I do not mind rain, just no storms.

Why not toss burritos and steaks two ways? Have some burritos and some steaks?

I would simply use your every day steak sauce with some common usual hot sauce? I am all about simplicity. No?

Today I need to utilize a 2.6lb Beef Chuck Tender Roast I bought at Target with a $5 Off sticker (which ended up being more than 1lb of meat worth free). That means I froze it, and had pulled it out to defrost in the fridge this past week.

We keep our refrigerator at 38-40 degreesF. So it does indeed take a while to thaw frozen items.

I'm not sure but I'll probably cut the roast into steaks and nuke some potatoes and serve a green salad. I'd be smart to make some Carne Asada with it (+ tator chunks), with rice and beans, but I don't know I'm up for that today. Burritos or steaks, hmmm. Maybe I should fire up the bbq and hot smoke the heck out of it. hahaha

We have mild weather for San Antonio TX, it is currently 29C/84F & mostly cloudy so it is cool enough to sit out with the barrel smokers they have by the swimming pool. I know, 84 degrees seems funny to say "cool", but in our neck of the woods it surely is that.

I am a pro at Cincinnati Chili! I serve the dish atleast once a week! However, I only use pinto for the beans part. Since the roommates cannot have the chili... more for me!

Are you cooking anything special today? Not sure what to concoct here.

I need to clean sometime today and do the side hustle thing today.

Just to let you know that you can use any kind of pot with a fitting lid and some metal clasps or weight to seal the lid for the spaghetti. I use the pressure cooker since it certainly seals beyond tight, don't ya know.

Beans with spaghetti remind me of the dish: Cincinnati Style Chili; a particular chili served 5 ways traditionally, but always over spaghetti noodles. It is quite the story to hear of its origin and history. Served alone is 1-way, over spaghetti is 2-way, 3-way adds beans, 4-way includes chopped onions and 5-way is chili+noodles+beans+onions+shredded cheese. Requests in most places in that city would be to call out usually "5-way". The chili they use is a meat sauce. Similar to Texas-style chili, beans are added or not to the dish as desired.

If you use Jalapeno in a sauce it will produce a green sauce, and that's just fine. Some folks just utilize Red or Green Enchilada sauce even, so you could use either for a base to which you add your preferred ingredients to.

Sometimes the red sauce is labeled Colorado sauce.

Seems delicious!

I do not have a pressure cooker.

Would you think jalapeno would be good in it too?

One roommate can only have puree/soft food. The other roommate started the Keto diet yesterday. So, guess what this gal has to do? The soft food mate is very considerate as she buys stuff already made to consume. Where the other mate, I have always had to cater to. She is the one that always wanted mac n cheese. Remember?

Anyway, last night I made a bean concoction. Tasted so good.

black beans
kidney beans
corn
browned beef
spaghetti sauce
chicken broth

Nuked then ate. So simple and delicious!

How are you?

Ooh, I'm so sorry I missed this one.

Today I crushed up some NM dried chiles, nuked it to keep it near boiling in a 1/4C water. Then I added garlic pwdr, anise seed, 1 Tbsp flour and mixed that together to make a paste. To that I added about 1/2C water, mixed and nuked in 15sec increments. Each increment I whisked the paste. I did that for one and a half minutes. Then I added frozen meatballs I bought $2 off at Target, a handful of kalamata olives, and nuked that 20min power 2. During that time I made spaghetti noodles in my pressure cooker (most of which got stored for quick use tomorrow).
I boil water in a sealed pressure cooker, then add noodles while I restore boiling. Then I seal it, and turn off the heat for the amount of time needed (Tonight it was 9 minutes).

So Red Chile & Meatballs Spaghetti. Yea! But then I'm a chile-head.

I would think you can just add them frozen into any crockpot recipe for sausages + peppers +onions, or such like that. I've been known to throw in a cut up apple or two with pork dishes. I'd go on High for 4-6 hours, and then serve it over rice although pasta should work as well. A can of stewed tomatoes and/or vegetables should brighten things up as well. Season as you'd like. Sometimes folks through in a can of beans (navy, pinto, or white) to add variety. The sausages will probably look pale, as most folks try to brown them in a skillet quickly before throwing them into the crock. If you thaw them out and then brown them you should be most happy I'd think.

The answer to both is yes. I think I'd do the sausage links in a homemade bbq sauce in the crock. Hey, you could even try putting that in with Mac&Cheese to please your roommate who digs "Mac is back". hahaha

In fact, you can cook frozen chicken from frozen but I would only do that with chicken breasts myself. I cooked chicken breasts from frozen just recently.

I applied some olive oil and garlic-herb salad dressing to the outside and roasted it for the time recommended (20 minutes from thawed), then flipped it to cook the other side, basted it again and roasted it another 20 minutes. Came out perfect. The basting was to prevent the chicken from drying out. I cooked it in our Microwave/Convection oven roasting it up by the burner elements.

I'd be interested in hearing what recipe you used for Chicken salad.

Hello team.

What's up? I am serving a big chicken salad for dinner.

Tonight, the roommates and I have to figure out our inventory list. Tempers usually flare when we do. We figure out a week's worth of groceries and household cleaners and get the stuff on Fridays.

Can you cook frozen sausage links in the microwave or crockpot? We have a package of them in our freezer that have been there forever.

Have a happy evening.

Got any good Chinese recipes that a gal could make in a crockpot?

You are very creative, and that's what I like.

Thank you for the PB&J tips!

What is your favorite bread? Mine is Italian. I refuse to use any other, unless simply plain white as I do not always have the money to splurge.

Guess what? I am going to be a more responsible team leader and member. I am going to be on a weekend vacation this upcoming weekend though, so not sure if I can be active then.

Be good! Class dismissed!

I have used PB in lieu of Asian Peanut sauces for Chinese, Thai, and Indian foods. I have also made PB&J burritos. PB mixed with canned chicken with peppers and unsweetened cocoa, topped with shredded lettuce, tomato, onion and plain yogurt make a good casserole mix, or loaded into another tortilla for a burrito. I suppose you could make a sandwich with it.

I've enjoyed cold refried beans with mustard sandwiches, but it helps in all these things to add herbs and seasonings as possible.

I'm thinking PB soup with celery and spices could work well. I'd thin it with chicken or vegetable broth/bouillon.

I think if you tried to make Indian foods with curry and chunky peanut butter as the main ingredients you'd find a hit. I'd serve that with brown rice that was dry-fried before adding liquids, and have a lot of veggies and perhaps 3oz of seasoned meat.

Let me know if that helps.

By the way, when someone only wants Mac & Cheese every day I'd tell them that unless the rest of us were eating some they'd have to pay for and prepare it themselves. But then that's me. I've had stubborn roommates. If one of them said you had to only eat a No Carb, Eat Fat diet, would you acquiesce? I know what choice I'd make.

Later 'gator.

No, I have never consumed avocado. The darn things just do not look very appetizing.

How has your week started?

I started drinking detox water quite a few days ago and feel so much better! So good that I cannot explain.

What do you say to a roommate wanting mac n cheese every day?

Do any one of you know any good recipes with peanut butter being the main ingredient? A person many years ago told me to include in fried rice. Anyone?

Looking forward to your replies!

Here is a link to a nice food blogger's website about 12 magical ways to use a food processor. She started with a garage-sale item, from the "free" box; which she says she washed about 500 times before using.

hahaha

Here is a link to ATK (America's Test Kitchen). I have an account there, the FREE kind. That means I can access things, especially if they come from the current year's program. However, they do offer a free trial period if you wish. I go to collect what I can for no cost.

This is their information onsite called Food Processor 101. I just accessed it and explored to make sure I could get at least the basics. I sure could.

Plus, here is a link to Amazon's Top Bestsellers link where I look for FREE ebooks. I read them on my FREE Kindle reading application for Personal Computers (PCs). They have craft to reference ebook categories, religion to self-help. Each of these categories has separate sub-categories. For instance, Cookbooks had sub folders for Regional, Special Appliances, and so much more.

For Free ebooks, make sure they show up as Free $0 to buy before you click on the "purchase". I have over 18K ebooks now. I have never had a hack issue nor difficulties that were not remedied.

I am going to post this data in other places at the Sparkteams I belong to so that others can take a look.

Yes! I like it! My first project is going to be making coleslaw! I am going to be on the lookout for cabbage on clearance!

What could I do with potatoes? Do they need to be cooked first?

Any other food processor tips?

One problem... I have no clue how to work it. LOL

Thanks GRALAN!

I've used my small food processor for shredding cabbage for slaw, doing a quick salsa, zipping up almonds into little pieces or making nut butter. I also use it for making my own high protein & low-fat ground beef by utilizing bottom roast, &c., from small chunks to compressable patty making stuff.

I've made bouillion by placing cubes in the coffee pot and running hot water through the machine before. hahaha I'm thinking it might make a way to do a small batch of par-boiling vegetables or something like it by putting the veggies in the filter portion and letting the hot water flow through it. What do you think?

Get creative, live longer with a clear mind.

I have not used a bread machine at all. I may be too impatient to wait on that. LOL

I kind of like my big oven for cooking but would try something smaller if I needed to.

Publix is a grocery store in Alabama. Very clean store. Polite workers. And bargains.

What store do you like to shop in most for groceries?

Heyas you two! Do either of you use or have used a bread machine? I did it several times but was not happy about the crust, to tell you the truth. I know that it works wonderful just as an industrial strength kneading of dough for flour tortillas. That trick was taught to me by a friend from Los Angeles, Ray Flores.

I've had arthritis in my hands, since the 1990s. I changed my career due to that. I've bought a "Corner Bakery" bread machine at a Thrift store. I downloaded the manual for it after searching through the ethernet, oops I mean the internet.

It has settings for pastries, and of course regular bread, and everything in between. Have you used a bread machine like that?

What do you think about being able to use it like a small oven, for baking a chicken, ham, enchiladas, and such?

Btw, what is Publix?

My exercise really stinks.

My mentality is this:

Most people on Sparkpeople have all of the time in the world to exercise every day.

I cannot as my job's website has been shut down. I have to accomplish side hustles every day that earn pennies at a time.

If I do not do something, I am called lazy.

Thus, I have to be on my butt every day to earn pennies.

Then, I have no time to Sparkpeople except for what I am doing today.

So, my exercise stinks.

Today I broiled 1lb stew meat, mixed with 2lbs ground turkey, some old homemade pico de gallo, cider vinegar, molasses, cumin, garlic powder, anise and caraway seed, paprika, smoked paprika, salt-free seasoning, liquid smoke, small chopt medium yellow onion, 12oz chopt New Mexican green chilies that had to be finished up, one can of no beans Turkey chili, one can of low-sodium kernel corn, two cans of chorizo-flavored refried beans, and quick grits to thicken. I then put it in our "Waterford" pot and let it simmer 3 hours.

Yessiree Bob, that's a nice pot of chili. Now I have to eat a gallon of chili. hahaha
Most of these items were purchased over half off their original price or were given to us by a neighbor. The grits are something I've had in the pantry unused for too long. I used it as a substitute for cornmeal. Chile peppers, meat, corn and corn meal are standard ingredients in the San Antonio Chili Queen era 1880s -1930s.

Speaking of pizza made of tortillas...

Last week, I wanted to make one. We had 2 packages of tortillas that were not used and I looked and looked for them. Could not find.

Last night, I found a package buried underneath the bread. But, I know I had looked there already!

Anyway, I think the tortillas are still going to be good.

Maybe I can have for lunch or dinner... maybe both! emoticon

Another "dish" I want to "create" are microwave french fries...

Cut up potatoes
Lay on paper plate
Drizzle with oil
Microwave for 7 minutes
Stir
Microwave 2 minutes
Serve

To me, the 7 minutes seem like the french fries would burn. But, that is what the YouTuber said he did and the french fries looked scrumptious.

How are you today?

I recall the chicken soup, mainly because you mentioned it here. So I'll be starting that up, although I do have some chicken breast I need to use before I lose it. I think I'll throw in a can of frozen vegetables. That will free up significant room in our small freezer compartment in our apartment, as the fridge is quite old.

I want your homemade salsa!

emoticon

My favorite flavored coffee (chocolate raspberry) was on sale for $3.99 usually costs $4.99. I have been depriving myself, but the sale was last week and this week. So, I bought two bags each week.

Today, I have a 3 ingredient crockpot meal on. Potato Soup I found on Sparkrecipes a couple of monthes ago... a bag of frozen french fries or frozen hash browns, chicken gravy and chicken broth. Have I told you this already?

Yesterday, there was a tent sale near me. I bought an boxed iced tea set (iced tea pitcher and 4 iced tea glasses that were gorgeous) for $2.00 and a handheld cooler for 50 cents so I can take my iced tea with me wherever I go.

I make about 2 pitchers of fresh iced tea every day. Last year, I bought an 3 quart iced tea maker at a yard sale and he is a beauty! No boiling water over the stove! Just pour in the water, place the tea bags in the filter and he brews for me!

So, I have caught up!

Gralan, if you get in a funk, just hop on Sparkpeople and talk!

Yesterday, after voting in our city elections, we went to the Target Superstore in the same Mall complex as the voting station. They had 4 pkgs of Premium Angus beef stew meat @ 1lb for $6.49; each had a $5 OFF coupon, so I bought it up. I will make spaghetti and meat for dinner tonight, and probably grind up the rest for making a homemade hamburger for burgers, burritos.

I made a salsa with tomatillos, romas, onion, and New Mexico green chiles and seasonings, with white and apple cider vinegar as well. Pretty darn good too, all things considered that is.

Ciao for now,

Yes, I keep trying to use up things that are not canned or frozen. Both of those need to be used, but often in service to salads, meats, tators, &c, that need to be used. When all else fails I try to throw it all into a soup. hahaha

Btw, I still have chopt kale I bought for 75% off, stored in the freezer. I add it thawed to green salads as an accent, to soups, casseroles, atop tacos, and more. What a bargain, and added nutrition (esp'ly vitamin K).

I hope all of you are good. I have a question...

I have some money set aside to spend in the month of May. What should I spend on:

1. a perm for my hair.
I have naturally curly hair, but wild curly hair. Perms train the natural hair to look nice.

2. phone card.
To upload for monthly minutes.

3. personal necessities.
Underwear, bras, socks, shoes...

4. clothes
clothes meant for summer.

Any other suggestions? I know not related to food, but about budgeting. I lack common sense.

Thank you my fellow Sparkfriends!

Today, I made a mean lasagna in the crockpot.

The one roommate who was home today agreed lasagna would be good for dinner.

4 hours later...

"Oh, I am too fat to eat. I am not hungry. I do not want any.:

So, I ate lasagna for dinner by myself and am going to serve for a couple of days with the leftovers.

My favorite potato microwave recipe is to use a peeler to take a stripe off the tator where I'll be cutting it open. I poke fork holes at all compass points (N-E-W-S). I rub just a scrim of oil on the outside and nuke it until a fork stuck into it slides right out). As it sits for about half the time it cooked, I mix up yogurt, cheese, diced onions, seasoning (garlic, red chile powder, magoi, cumin, are the usual suspects). I either halve or quarter the tators and pile on the mixture. I then usually sprinkle it with basil or fresh ground Italian herb mix.

I have been known to nuke several at a time, using what isn't eaten for frying for Bfast, making tator soup, or cold potato salad as a side dish. I need all the breaks I can get that way, cooking once and eating several times is a good plan at our house.

Woo Hoo gralan!

A couple of days ago, I made lasagna in my crockpot. Totally delicious. I would like to prepare lasagna as my "cheat" meal once a week.

At bingo this past week, I won 4 big bags of rice.

Do you have any good potato microwave recipes?

Have a blessed day!

I picked up my wife's Scrips at Target, ended up getting a $5 off coupon (no discount on the drugs, but the coupon is welcome). I found a large box of baby kale $3.69 with a $3 off sticker. Smile. I found 8oz sliced mushrooms $1.99 with $1 off. Found a salad kit w) dressing-croutons-craisins on sale for $3.59 with $2 off sticker. So with sliced deli ham, farmer's cheese, and such we will have salads galore for a couple days on the cheap. Woo Hoo.

I enjoy frying lunch meats with onions, black olives, and kindred items, and then most often eat that in an omelet or atop of crackers.

My mom used to slap cotto salami lunch meat on the griddle and pour in an egg once it cupped. Then she'd flip it and finish off the egg. I'm not sure of the timing, but this just returned to mind. I shall experiment.

Last week, I attacked the kitchen cabinets and organized. I removed items that the girls would never tolerate and that someone else would appreciate. Well, my church has a parish share campaign where you can either donate groceries or money. So, I donate groceries. Today, I took about 5 bags to church.

I am taking part in the 40 Items of Lent. Instead of giving up say drinking a certain drink or consuming a certain food, I am giving up 1 item out of my closet or office or etc. every day. Today's groceries are simply going to count as one item or maybe a few.

Do you have any good lunch meat recipes?

I keep getting surprised by the coupon discounts available on occasion at our Target superstore nearby. But most other items are at the upper end of acceptable, so I try to buy those things at the $ store or HEB.

Wally World is too far away for us to take regular advantage of it, though when I go it is mostly for bulk rice and beans and their discounted bakery goods.

I'm thinking PB and chocolate in icecube trays would make for larger buckeye molds, eh?

Chocolate in icecube tray sounds "most excellent, eh?" I'm excited now.

I found a local store (Texas Chain HEB) that not only utilizes coupons for free items and/or special discounts for assorted foods, they also use 25-50% Off stickers as necessary for sell-by dates. I bought aldersmoked lunch meat, $1 Off, 25% Off; that put it in my price range. hahaha

HEB, West & 410; San Antonio TX accessible by VIA bus 550, 95 & 97 depending. The range of product prices and offerings are right up our alley, 10oz espressio grind -$2 regular price... just saying, since I've been drinking coffee since 1964. My Scandahovian ancestors would be proud.
ahahahahahahhaha

It is still difficult posting with my very old phone, let alone get online for free. However here I yam, hardy har har. Just found out you can freeze eggs.

Decamp the egg into a mug, whip it good, pour into one section of an ice-cube tray. Repeat as needed. Freeze solid, remove and store in freezer bag. These last up to a year, according to the blogger on "Bless This Mess". Thaw and use in recipes, or fry up scrambled eggs.

What can I say...God has given me another day. I am making the most of it, never taking forgranted. I may complain every-so-often, but am grateful.

I acomplished 3 articles today... (1) How To Survive Another Winter, (2) How To Shop Out Of Your Own Closet and (3) How To Deal With Holiday Stress. They should go live by tomorrow night. I am aiming for over 1,000 views for EVERY article. Each article gets a 30 day run. The views are calculated and then the writer gets paid accordingly.

I created an elaborate dinner tonight. Chef Boyardee Mini Ravioli. A roommate threw a temper tantrum but I cannot do everything. She is not helpless. Want to know why I asked?

The roommates are making their own Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Being that I am not a turkey person, I will make taco salad all for myself...YUM. I have been craving it like you would not believe. Are you having a different Thanksgiving dinner?

I wear my pedometer every day. Let's hope I don't lose the darn thing this holiday season. I may not get in those 10,000 steps, but I do what I can. SOMETHING counts, right? Do you wear your pedometer every day? About how many steps do you accomplish?

Well, I will close for now. Be good! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello team...

Today went really good for me. I did a list article for Christmas gifts under $5.00. Then, I had a meeting (via computer) about a health coach position.

Articles are good, but payout doesn't happen until a certain dollar amount is reached. Health coaching is something I have wanted to do since graduating from Stratford Career Institute. Finally!

Crafts are still a hobby... A good way to earn spare cash.

Furthermore, I still like to work at night. However, I got an early start this morning. Getting dinner out of the way, finishing the dishes, having the evening iced coffee then off to telecommuting I go, is the usually thing for me.

Today, for lunch, I made Acapulco Tuna Salad. For dinner, ranch potatoes are cooking in the crockpot. I stretch the groceries as far as I can.

Be good!

p.s. I fixed the sharecare link below.

GRALAN, how the heck are you?

My obsession with crockpots is being difficult.

My usual crockpot decided to have the lid cracked in half.

The crockpot in the basement is buried underneath a heavy shelf that fell down on it. I cannot lift the shelf up because it is super heavy.

The HUGE crockpot that I won at bingo is very nice, but I have no room on the kitchen counter. Even if I could, there are only 2 electrical outlets available in the kitchen.

About beef, I am not giving it up completely. I just feel bad when I see cows grazing in a field.

GRALAN, I made taco salad yesterday. It was soooo good. Today, back to frugal city. Probably pasta.

I hope I do not annoy you. You don't talk down to me which is why I like you as a emoticon !

Have a super day!

Inventory came in today. I had actual produce! So, I made taco salad for dinner and had two big helpings! I am not embarrassed or ashamed. I am always being frugal. It is a Friday. I cannot go out for drinks. So, why not make something that I like to have for a change? Right?

How is your Friday going?

While the roommates were out today, I fixed dinner and had it ready on the table (salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and carrots). I got a text "We are going out for dinner".

Do you see how disrespectful they are? Not to mention wasteful.

However, if I didn't do the cooking, I would probably starve.

I would love to be able to cook for my family and a Mr. Right. People who would appreciate me.

Well, last night was a humdinger... Total anxiety. I worry about my family. I worry about work. I worry about exercise. I worry about what to prepare for dinner so that both roommates are satisfied. I worry about housework. I worry, worry, worry.

How are YOU?

I was told by accounting that the money I had set aside for Christmas needs to be used for other circumstances. Merry Christmas.

I have a job writing for a women's website and do several side hustles. My crafts are going to have to be completed in warp speed to make some extra money.

I opened up a tote crate today and found dressy winter clothes that I forgot I even had. The clothes were all gifts from Santa over the past few Christmas'. I will have nice clothes for church if my neighbor ever asks me to go. For some odd reason, the neighbor does not ask me to go to church anymore. I about passed out today though, cause she asked me to go to the church craft show on Thursday. I have no money to spend but it will be nice to get out and socialize. Fun fun.

The roommates' kitten tore into my knee. They acted like it was no big deal. The kitten can do no wrong.

Today I loaned a ton of Woman's World magazines from the local library. YEA! My favorite magazine. If I get anxiety, I can always read the anxiety away. When I go through magazines, I like to find the hidden gems as opposed to what the diet of the week is. Although, sometimes there are really neat diets.

Well, this is my dissertation for tonight. If you are up late, message me or something. I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
ON_A_DIET

The roommate got her whole wheat bread, so the coast is clear for grill cheeses for dinner today. It would be nice to have tomato soup but nada have it.

I have more coupons to clip. Hopefully useful!

I hope you have a super day.

Hello. How is YOUR budget?

Well, I have to work super hard at my freelance work, side hustles and crafts for Christmas this year. I found out from accounting that the money I would have had saved in my account for Christmas, needs to be used for other circumstances. Merry Christmas.

I know this is not a crafts team, but do you think cookbook gift baskets would be nice to sell for the holiday gift-giving to earn some money?

I hope you do not mind I created this thread. Sometimes we just need to get it all out.

Have a good evening.
