I think it's a great starting program and the calories you suggested sound about right. One thing I've noticed by being in the program for 5 weeks is that while gaining a lot of muscle, I am not losing any fat. This has made my clothes tighter instead of looser. You will not bulk up. You would have to weight lift for 2 hours every day to look like one of those muscle builders. I do recommend that you add more cardio than the program suggests. I've been doing the extra bonus workout after each weight circuit.

Oh Yah and don't forget, notice how much weight Chalene uses and she is just a cute little button, no bulking going on there. Women don't bulk because we don't have testosterone.

Hi----you will not bulk up with this will tone and get definition, but you will not bulk like you are thinking...its an amazing program.....muscles burns fat....start pushing play!!!! As a matter of fact..I am starting this tomorrow...we can be partners if you want!!!

Hey guys, im new to chalean extreme and just recieved my adjustable dumbells so im ready to start tomorrow! My aim is to lose weight and tone up, i have around 50 pounds to loose. However i dont want to build too much muscle and im starting to feel like chalean extreme may not be for me, since ive been hearing that women have beeen gaining a lot of weight when they started the programme! Im very freaked out by this and the fact that some women get too muscular for my likeing. NOt that im saying theres anything wrong with that, but i personally want a bit of muscle definition but i want to be more feminine. Ive noticed in the test group that 90% of the women looked very sexy and feminine, and no over developed neck muscle etc. Im just really worried im not going to be apart of the 90% of women lol. That leads me to ask the question, of how many calories should i be eating? im 5ft0 and 174.6 lbs/79.2 kg. and im 19. Should i just eat at around 1400-1500 calories? I dont want to over feed the muscles and become too muscular or have too much definition.
