I am going for a motility tests on Wednesday for my esophagus. I have gained 4 pounds this month and not sure what to do next. I eat no more than 4 oz at a meal.

I have to be diligent about caring for myself. 100 DAYS OF WEIGHT LOSS is a great way for me to keep focused. Day 1 is July 1, 2017. Build habits to produce success. Most of these habits I have at least tried before but did not sustain. First habit: delay eating by using a timer.

Pru emoticon I hope that the cold leaves soon and the you are on the mend soon for all of the health issues.
The chair marching does help. It seems to help move the food on through. I keep gaining weight and am not sure what to do. I going to push my emoticon today and go over my meds again to see what I might need to change.

I am sure that my GP has progressed. I am now trying to do 2 liquid meals a week. I tried to go back to some regular foods but they just hang on for two long and take so long to digest. I am doing chair marching today and hoping to move that food on it's way.

Well small step right? The no bread thing is working pretty good . I did find out that I can not have more then one serving of peanut butter a week! Kind of strange but that second serving always does me in!

I finally had the energy to do the laundry today. I have been eating some regular foods this week and I can sure tell the difference. My Mom was from Missouri so I guess I have to prove it to myself.
I was able to walk some today but it took my breath away so I am stopping anything strenuous for the day. My jammies are on and I am doing just the must do's until bedtime.

I am back to eating very smooth foods and liquids for one meal. Discontinuing all pain meds due to breathing issues.
Back to the store today to look for my popsicles.

I walked to the store today with my helper for some Sierra Mist only to get there and they were out. I then went to look for popsicles and they were out of the ones that work well for me too. This was not my day. I took a meal from the freezer that I had made last week and I will have that tonight.

Sounds like you are doing pretty good. I made some soup and some chili. I got 49 dollars from my brother and did get to the store. So it's all good!

I pureed some canned pears and added it to jello. I put it up in .5 cup containers so that I have a good snack. The hamburger helper seems to be doing ok. I cooked it a little longer and the meat is ground sirloin so low in fat. I chopped some up very fine yesterday and may do that again depending on how things go.
I am headed to the food bank tomorrow. Good luck on making it until the 5th. I am making sure that I have extra sauce to help with digesting my foods.

Yeah me too! I get paid on the 5. So we are doing the same thing. Just ran out of eggs. I am setting here thinking about what to do for lunch this week.

emoticon I had a donut yesterday too. I made Hamburger Helper today. The elevator will be up on Wed. and payday is Friday. I am making do with what is in the pantry. I chopped my meal and hope that will help it digest ok. I am stocking up on frozen yogurt and popsicles next month.

Yeah, I have dropped 5 pounds. But I was bad and had a donut today. So far my belly is ok with it. But I am not going to push my luck. I will be good the rest of the week.

WE do have temperamental tummies! I finished off the steak and veggies today. I found an article that mentioned that we should aim for 1.5 cups per meal. My Dr. wants me to limit to about 6 oz. and to eat 6 times a day.
Time to think up something new to have. I took out some ground sirloin today and think I will make a meatloaf as I seem to be able to handle small amounts of that. I am on week 2 of no bread. I have lost 4 lb. so far. It is not much but since I am GP gainer every little bit helps. If anyone has any ideas feel free to post them.

GRNDMOM43 yeah I have three seasons done too. Very 6 months to a year. I think it is time to have it done again.

I am like that too. And some time I can eat something 2 or 3 time but that 4 time.. man my tummy gets so mad!

I joined to support folks here. I have other health issues like low thyroid, obesity and what goes with that, arthritis knees and shoulders, etc.

Pru, do you have to have EGD to stretch the esophagus. I have them about 2 times a year. I am now eating my foods chopped. I had a steak someone had given me and cooked it like a roast with canned carrots and potatoes. I ground it and the potatoes and carrots with some of the broth and felt like I was having pot roast. I think I should have chopped it a little finer but it was so good.
GP is such an individual thing, I can eat things that some others cannot eat and some they can eat what I cannot. emoticon emoticon

Pru, I have wondered about the effects. I have cut out bread as it seems to become stuck in my food delivery system. I seem to still be able to handle some very small sizes of pasta. I has some salmon this morning but it was too dry and is causing a little trouble. I should have chopped and added something to make a sauce. I will so better next time.
Shari, it sounds like you are going to have more success at maintaining you energy levels with the help they are giving you. I am thrilled that they can arrange things for amore comfortable life for you. You may have time for more fun activities now. emoticon

Friday, I officially got enrolled in in-home hospice. This does not mean I am bedridden, or housebound. They can do many things to make my life easier, including having my meds delivered to me, and they come to my house to do the blood draws to check my weekly blood counts. To start with, I'll have visits from a nurse once per week, but they will come more often if I need them too.

I won't be seeing my oncologist anymore for regular visits, but hospice will arrange for me to see him if they feel I need to see him for something. He gave me a big hug at the end of my appointment Friday; I think that's got to be one of the hardest parts of his job, when the cancer progresses to the point where there is nothing more he can do.

I had a blood transfusion yesterday too; it made for a long day, but I am already feeling better from it. Hopefully it will keep my energy at a decent level for at least a couple of weeks.

I am finally having some success with following my GP diet. I am eating those very small portions and making sure that all of my meat is chopped or pureed. Where are you in your GP journey. I am following a stage 2 plan.
I am enjoying the beautiful weather today in Kansas. We are expecting rain and fall temps tomorrow.
