Holidays - I usually am with healthy eaters and am tired of processed food so eat the veggies and ick I am sick! I feel ashamed putting only a half cup of food on plate z(my liquids are my sustenance calories etc) and my mind wants more. Why not wait 2 hours before adding?

I always have powdered food and crackers and baby food pouch as a contingency

I use my heating pad all the time; if I'm not using it for my stomach, it's on my hip for my sciatica. I have IBS also and it helps with that when it flares up too.

I don't know if you've tried it or if it will work for you, but when my stomach feels cramped or pained, I relax with a warm heating pad on my stomach for a few minutes. It seems like it 'wakes up' my stomach and usually within a half hour I feel better.

I had a nice Christmas, but I've been having stomach pain since yesterday; not extreme pain, but just nagging pain that won't go away. At least it was a reminder not to overeat today, because then I knew it would be even worse.

I had chemo on Tuesday so I think my stomach is still messed up from that. I had to deal with an IBS flareup too.

Planning ahead was a good idea. You've got to make sure you can have something, then you try to find a way to avoid the temptation of everything else. Hope you have fun with your family.

Since I was just recently diagnosed with GP, this will be my first holiday dealing with it. I've been doing pretty well, on my own, with my diet, but now I will have to deal with the temptations of a full spread of food in front of me. But I know I will have to stick to my plan or pay the price with having pain later.

I am making part of our food, so I made sure that the things I made are GP friendly, so at least I know there will be a few things I can eat. I told my mom to go ahead and make what she and everyone else wants to eat; I don't want the rest of the family to not enjoy certain foods just because I can't. And since it's at my house this year, I'm going to send most of the leftovers home with people.
