This isn't a new device - it's the gastric pacemaker that's been talked about for a while. They've given it a name, Enterra, and it's been available under the Humanitarian Device Exception since 2000. Here are two links, including one from Enterra, that provided some great info on it:

There is a new internal electronic device put out by Medtronics called Enterra that can cure GP. Research it for yourself. I'm going to discuss it with my GI doctor. I'd like to have your impression before I see him on the 21st of the month. Thanks.
