I've seen people reading on the bike and on the treadmill, but they tend to go at a slower pace in able to read. It depend on your pace and whether reading the bible would detrack from your exercise, or exercising detracks from your reading. I myself use to work out on the crosstrainer while watching TV to pass the time - it was a great way of tracking the time without actually counting the minutes.

I read while I'm on my stationary bike :) I love it. It helps pass the time quickly.

Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable,
but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible,
they begin to see it as possible."

I don't see why it would be a problem as long as it doesn't effect the amount of effort you put in.

Anything that help you to keep motivated is a good thing. If you get bored then you will stop. Give anything a try and see what happens

My understanding for exercise is that you can count it if your heart rate/pulse is increased to a working number.
There are SP articles about this.
If you can't manage your bible reading while on the bike, how's about reading it on the train while eating your muesli?
I know we're advised to concentrate on the food and the eating. But sometimes, especially mornings, the best advice just isn't workable.

I pedal an exercise bike? Will it affect my cycling effort? Trying to fit my daily bible readings and my exercise into my time before work in the morning!!!! Breakfast I can carry and have at my leisure in the train. The first train is always quite so I generally get a seat with a table. Muesli is ok with the milk added before bedtime the night before.

Not back to work till Wednesday this week but I am going to experiment with water intake the three days I will be there to see if it perks me up in the afternoon. If it works for flagging greenhouse tomato plants in the heat maybe it can help me too and stop the bingeing that often comes with the afternoon boredom/lethargy
