emoticon It will get easier to say NO to the sweets. You do need to make sure you are using the nutrition tracker and then if you do have a treat make sure to input the nutrition info in there and track track track. Keep your self accountable :)
As far as asking your husband to keep it away from you, I don't think that is ungrateful at all and I would imagine he would understand completely. Maybe he thinks he would be evil if he didn't offer you any. I'd talk to him about it because it makes it even harder when people are indulging right in front of you.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Good luck to you and just stay strong! emoticon

emoticon on loosing the pound, it goes to show that you can do it.

It is best to keep away from treat, as them not to eat them in front of you is a start.

Good luck

Hiya, it's difficult I know, especially when you first get started. Remind yourself why you're doing this - whether it's to get more fit, feel more healthy, buy some new clothes.. Also, tell your husband (in a nice way) that he is not helping you by offering you that food. In fact, if he's going to have it, could he not try to not have it in front of you? That would show his support.

As for treats, I haven't cut them out completely. I think I wouldn't be able to keep going if I did. I'm in maintenance mode now (although I'd like to lose another 10 lbs I'm OK with where I am in size), but I've cut back on the portions of sweets/desserts. So, I have one little packet of Cadbury's buttons from a snack/fun pack. You can get crisps in smaller packets or even better go for the baked ones that are a lot less fatty. I can't eat normal crisps now, they're too greasy! There are also some nice yogurts/desserts that don't break the bank, e.g. Muller has some chocolatey puddings for about 100 cals.

Ultimately, you want to lose weight in a way that you can maintain. If you feel you 'miss out' then you will overindulge. Once you lose some weight, you can visualize doing the same next week, and the week after.. Then you're getting there!

Hope this helps, and doesn't sound too much like a self-help book. I know it's easier said than done (it's a lot easier for me to type this and give you advice, than to do it myself) but I have done it before and it worked. So you can do it too! Go go go!
