Here is some information in case you, your family or friends or neighbors get food stamps....
I believe the goal is to put people who can work to go to work and to save the country's budget some money possibly.

Food stamp changes coming up in the year 2020 including free lunch at schools.... which will END food stamps for a lot of people.

this will affect:

abled-bodied adults with no kids
the unemployed
the UNDER employed

Here is the link for more information:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Krn
nIOnT-Q

Total Trump food-stamp cuts could hit up to 5.3 million households per the CBS NEWS...

Here is the link for more information:

www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-a
dministrat
ion-says-food-stamps-need-re
form-a
dvocates-say-millions-will-suffer/

The Trump administration has proposed three changes this year to the federal food stamp program, one of which was adopted last week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and would deny food stamps to nearly 700,000 Americans.

The two other proposed rules would make it harder for people across the country to qualify for food stamps and reduce aid eligibility for Americans in cold-weather states.
A total of about 2.2 million households could lose access to government food assistance, while another 3.1 million may see reduced benefits, a recent analysis found.

The Trump administration is moving to curb access to food stamps, with U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue last week criticizing the 80-year-old federal program as becoming a "way of life" for too many Americans.

To that end, the government has introduced three proposals that would cut about 2.2 million U.S. households, or almost 4 million people, from the program, while also reducing benefits for another 3.1 million households, according to a recent analysis from the Urban Institute.

The plans — one of which was formally adopted by the USDA last week and would deny food stamps to nearly 700,000 Americans — would make it tougher for millions to qualify for food aid and cut billions from the program's budget.

That information above was posted on the CBSnews and the link is already posted above.

Hello Ladies:

SHARON: Everyone always complains about leftover tukrey, not me I would love a turkey sandwich now.

Healing takes time for us and our pets.

OLIVIA: At one time I was always in the cookie aisle. Not so much now, not because I don't like them, but because I like them that much.

ME: Haven't done much today. Trying to decide what to keep and what to get rid us is taxing on the mind. It feels like a rest day to me. emoticon

Hey Sharon,

Thanks for sharing the news on the impeachment! emoticon

Christmas huh? I hadn't heard! emoticon

emoticon It IS crazy an attorney would steal a wallet! Just think...When he took the $1,600 - that amount became the "value" of his life as he knew it. What a FOOL!

If he would steal $1,600 in the light of day with people watching...Can you imagine the amount in darkness with no one watching???

Egregious emoticon

Hi Ladies,

Dee: I wish you well tackling your paperwork! It's where I fail miserably...digging out every week. UGH! My thought, sound, and exact sentiment! On the other hand, it feels so good when it's finished!

Sharon: Glad to hear your dogs are on the mend and your poodle is making a "come back!" I know it's a load off your heart and mind!!

Your good news is "very" good - walking around the park for 30 minutes and getting your veggies...YEAH!!

I'll have to try Louisiana Crunch Cake.

I bought peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies at the grocery store yesterday and the peanut butter (ones) were sooooooo bad, my husband took the chocolate chip with him to work! Didn't even try them!

It sounds unkind to share what you suspect you will not like - but if the store sells them, people buy them - and if people buy them, they eat them...right?

And, if it all goes to heck - they too have a garbage can (LOL)! emoticon

Hi sisters

Just watched a new show on TV called COURT CAM

Going thru security at COURT where there is cameras all over, an attorney STEALS a wallet , takes $1600, turn in the wallet and is arrested.. He is disbarred, charge with theft and is no longer allowed d to practice law in that state.

Crazy people

Hi Ladies,

Dee: I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing a year ago, thinking also how fortunate you and your family were to have her for so long. No matter the age, our mother's or ours, in health or decline, it's tough to say so long.

Sharon: It's good to hear your babies are on the mend! After reading everything that you've gone through and had to do, it's no wonder you're exhausted!! Hopefully with the new pain meds your poodle will be back to himself in no time.

Me: My trip went very very well! With such TERRIFIC advice under my belt, IT WAS EASY!!

Thanksgiving Day was a bit tense...lots of conversation about whether or not the turkey was done...with me thinking...if you need to talk about it...the answer is NO!

I said my part when asked (well maybe pushed the point and probably wasn't asked) and let them decide to finish cooking. Thank goodness they did! It turned out great.

Lots of outings with museums and sightseeing and OMG so much eating...crab is king (LOL)!

The most important thing about our trip was seeing our daughter living a married life in her own home, in the city she now calls home, with friends and new family of in-laws. You always wonder how your kids are "truly" doing. No matter how many hours you talk by phone, there will always be things left unsaid. You just hope that what is said (for better or worse) is actually how life is, and the trust between you remains.

I am so happy to "know" she has claimed her place as the woman of her house, as wife and in-law without losing herself in the process!

Our trip was Thanksgiving and Christmas come early.

See you tomorrow...

UPDATE... 12/2/19 INCONTINENCE after surgery.....

emoticon in·con·ti·nence
/inˈkänt(ə)nə
ns,iNGˈkänt(ə)n&
#601;ns/
Learn to pronounce
noun
1. lack of voluntary control over urination or defecation.
"causes of urinary incontinence"
2.. lack of self-restraint.
"the emotional incontinence of modern society"

After surgery of this type it is NORMAL for the dogs to experience incontinence of bowel movement... this should last a week to ten days.

I experienced it TODAY 12/2/19 with the poodle.
The Terrier pooped outside in the park earlier today along with the poodle but I guess the poodle had MORE to do later in the day.

The Surgeon explained the dogs will have NO ABILITY to hold bowel movement until they are both completely HEALED from surgery and the dogs will not know what is going on of WHY they cannot control their pooping ... poor babies... My poodle was whimmpering when it happened to him like... sorry mom I cant hold it. and he cannot hold it.. it comes out involuntarily.

I cleaned him up and hugged and kissed him and changed the bedding with clean soft plush bedding while I laundered the other ones. He is asleep now, poor baby.

needless to say there was SEVERAL laundry loads done today with disinfectant, and dawn liquid and detergent and BLEACH . It was small poop accident but STILL it was poop... liquid poop... therefore bedding was watched several times today.

but still happy the anal glands were removed in BOTH dogs ... now my babies wont be experiencing any pain any more with having to have the anal gland emptied EACH month.... lawrd.

poodle is sleeping now while I am washing his bedding .... terrier is watching tv

hugsssssssssssssssssssssssss

Hello Ladies

OLIVIA: How was your trip?

SHARON: Yes providing 24 hr care for a loved one or a pet is very exhausting. My sister and I shared the duty of caring for my mother who was 94, she left us a year ago.

I remember several years ago, my husband had surgery and I slept in a chair for the 5 days he was in the hospital. We take so many little things for granted, like a good bed!!

Good to hear your fur babies are on the road to recovery.

You ladies have a great day.

welcome home Olivia, and waves hello to Dee.

It is monday, please forgive me for not writing more often, dogs surgery was on Friday,

The Terrier on friday night was or appearing to be BLEEDINGGGGG from the anal area... I called the emergency room in a PANIC emoticon talking loudly on the phone my dog is bleeding!!!! The doctor calmed me down and asked some DETAILED questions... SHaron what does the blood look like? I said like a watery blood ... he said that is NORMAL, dont panic... that will happen for a couple of days... it is NOT blood but a ...... some word he used medically that I cant spell.... he said it is normal after any surgery to expel any excess fluid from the body also with a little blood mixed in from the procedure... dont worry... and I was like okay... took a deep breath..... Thats the kind of stress that I have been dealing with ladies....

So I had to watch them closely ALLLLLL weekend, giving meds, crushing pills adding to liquid, measuring dosages, inserting with a liquid dispenser, soothing their pain, tracking meds and food intake and LITERALLY sleeping on the floor next too them as they could not walk up on my bed at the time etc... slept on the floor two nights a row so I could soothe the poodle as she would wake up in PAIN... poor baby, just ROUND THE CLOCK CARE, and cleaning wound area stitches several times per day, applying antibiotic pain cream to keep the skin moisturized so it would not crack, like I said... Non Stop care, etc....

today had to take the poodle BACK to the hospital due to pain and swelling. Pain med changed thank god. I was just BEYOND STRESSED worrying and worrying about my poor dogs and lack of sleep, etc... ...

it was 3 days after surgery I finally took them to the park on a leash, walked slowly for ONE lap,I let them lead, they had no problems walking and smelling the grass thank god... they took a poop thank god. then home.

The poodle is knocked out sleeping as I gave him a dose of the NEW pain med and the Terrier is watching tv with my son in his room. If you looked at the Terrier you would NEVER guess that he had surgery 3 days ago.. he is now his usual self.... the Poodle however is taking a LONGER time to heal poor baby... my heart goes out to them.

Now I am beyonddddddddddd exhausted seriously.... I dont know how home care providers can do this for a living... it is sooooooooooooo stressful with the worrying, checking, soothing, meds, tracking food, meds, looking a the clock, jumping up from sleep at the slighest whine from pain and on and on and on... it is EXHAUSTING.... seriously exhausting not to mention the stress of worrying... it is too much.

anyways, poodle is sleeping which means I have a little bit of time to write and eat something and then catch up on my sleep.

am I glad I got this surgeries done... absolutely....
just have to hang in their during this intense period of Home Care as this too shall pass.

hugsssssssssssssssssssssssss

Hi Ladies!!!

I hope you had a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!!

We got home at 2:30 this morning...Now around 5:15 and I can't sleep...LOL!

Dee: I can only imagine how delicious your turkey wings were :-) So good, I imagine you have none left!

Sharon: Good for you having the Thanksgiving you wanted! I agree with Dee that turkey is great whenever you choose to eat it. No rules. No boxes. Just enjoy!

Echoing Dee's question...How are your fur babies?

I understand you're busy taking care of them, but let us know when you can.

Hi ladies,

Dee, yes you are right.. turkey is good anytime LOL

Olivia, miss you so much, hugs.

Just came back from checking on my dogs IN person at the hospital.
My poodle was desperate to get OUT of the cage and go home , poor baby
the Terrier was still asleep under anesthesia... resting in the cage.

Time now is 3:22pm... I get to pick them up at 4pm emoticon
I miss them soooooooooooo much.
The surgeon did EVERYTHING I asked him to do in surgery for my babies emoticon

emoticon Turkey is READY... just have to leave it IN the oven for another 30 minutes to get it BROWN now... I unfolded the aluminum foil from the turkey.

okay will keep you all posted, hugssssssssssssssssss

7:30am = took my babies to the surgery for anal glands removal emoticon emoticon

I asked the surgeon to take off TWO MORE cysts on my poodle baby's neck besides the one on her left knee.... he agreed to do so for an extra fee... of course I said yes.

I also asked the surgeon to remove an extra loose skin on the lower stomach area near the left back leg and is also itching and she has to scrap her tummy on the ground to relieve the itching and he said he would agree to do so for an extra fee... of course I said yes.

I already put a $1,200 deposit for the surgery 2 days ago ... and with the ADDED surgerical requests that I made this morning... I am thinking I will have a remaining balance to pay for ANOTHER $1,000.00.

emoticon As pet parents, we will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING we can within our power and finances to help our babies live a healthier and joyful Life... seriously.

I have been calling the hospital EVERY hour to see how they are... they are resting peacefully on the clean PLUSH comfy 2 large blankets I brought for them to lay in comfort at the hospital.

Surgery scheduled for 11am or 11:30 am today 11/29/19
pick up time is between 3pm and 6pm today

Surgery location: East Springs Animal Hospital

hugs

emoticon UPDATE: 11/29/19 Friday, 10am, my 18 lb turkey is cooking IN my oven, yeh!!!!!!

emoticon I had forgotten how FUN it was to prep a turkey and CLEAN the oven prior. Yes I know I ONLY touch and use the oven ONCE per year for thanksgiving but still... I clean the oven VERY well prior to use... everything HAS to be clean and I wash my hands FREQUENTLY during the turkey prep.... I am a safety girl LOL smiles.

I did something different this year .... after laying down aluminum foil on the disposable pan, I layered the bottom of the pan and INSIDE the turkey with:
sliced apples = 3 medium size
sliced yellow onion = 1 large
2 cups of baby carrots.

coated turkey with butter on TOP and inside of the bird
then lightly seasoned the bird with pepper and Mrs. Dash seasoning

and in the oven she went, 325 degrees for 4.5 hours for an 18 pound turkey.
I am soooooooooooo HAPPY I can't tell ya LOL yeh!!!!!!
it is one day late but I am STILL going to have my turkey for a belated Thanksgiving, yahoo!!!
I am soooooooooo Excited!!!!

hugs

Hi Ladies.

I'm glad to hear you are braving the cold and not so cold weather to get out of the house!
It's so important!!

Dee: I was hoping a little of the Chicago I remember still remains. You know, everyday neighborhood "life" stuff. The last time we were there was two years ago but the trip was for my daughter's graduation from Purdue.

Sharon: Good news about your pups having surgery! Less worry and work for you - a happier life for them!

Me: Visiting my daughter and son-in-law ....... BEING MINDFUL OF THE FANTASTIC ADVICE I RECEIVED.

(Hot-spotting my phone so no graphics)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Have a wonderful and safe day with family and friends!!

We are going ahead with the anal glands removal surgery on BOTH dogs on Friday! yeh!!!

Met the surgeon today IN person, he is wonderful, he did over 1000 anal gland surgeries Yeh!

incontinence ONLY happens for 3 to 5 days MAXIMUM ... due to a paralyzing Pain BLOCK injected in the anal area.... I was like ohhh I thought incontinence lasted for a lifetime LOL.

also the surgeon will REMOVE a cyst on the poodles KNEE thank God. $250.00

Terrier got eye drops for his left eye that was a bit cloudy.

BOTH dogs in Good health.... he examined them... that is how he noticed the CYST on my poodles left knee... wow!
AND

he will remove the poodles hair in the ear for FREE while under anesthesia, yeh!!!
* ear hair in poodles is common but my baby's ear hair was building up TOO much.

Poodle = 2 surgeries: anal gland removal and cyst removal $1,034.00
Terrier = 1 surgery : anal gland removal $750.00

Office visit today ONLY $49.00 for BOTH dogs, yeh!!!
eye drops = $28.00

I put a DEPOSIT today of $1,200.00
Note: They really did NOT want to take a deposit but I insisted.... seriously.
TRUST ME: it is Easier to pay $1200 NOW and then pay balance of $550 on Friday yeh!!!

so instead of $1500... I am paying like $1750 WITH an extra surgery of a cyst removal, THAT ladies is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooooooooooo HAPPY I cant even tell you how HAPPY I am.

Great Prices for THREE surgeries in ONE day, wow!!!!!
Dogs suffering will END after the surgery, yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and the hospital has an A+ rating at the BBB,yahooo! YES I checked lol

Bring the dogs in at 7:30am
Pick up time: 3pm same day

Woke up to 9 degrees..

yes NINE degrees in colorado...then it warmed up to 23 degrees
but the WIND CHILL factor was SIX degrees..... yep it was hella freezing LOL.

Took dogs with me to pick up thanksgiving cooked meat from Supermarket this morning.
it smelled sooooooooooooo good.

with their COATS ON I walked the dogs walk in the bitter cold on a leash for a HALF a block... they pooped, I cleaned it up and took them BACK IN THE HEATED car.

it was freezing and MOREEEEE SNOW did I mention that.... cold wind AND lots of snow overnight.... lawrd

I went to walmart and brought TWO shovels... yep!!!!

shoved snow in driveway, sidewalk AND street directly in front of my house so we wont slip and slide coming in and out our driveway.

I loveeeeeeeeeeee colorado even in the winter.... emoticon

Hello Ladies

SHARON:

Not only do you have to worry about the “criminal”, but the people they associate with. I know for a fact that their associates will come for you too. Had this happen to a friend, she sort of started getting involved with a guy who had a past, she broke It off but his friend who also had a past kept bothering her. She had to get a restraining order on the friend!!

I agree, I had to get out of the house yesterday. Being in here for too many days is not good for weight or moral.

You definitely are having a stress free Holiday. I don’t feel comfortable enough to leave my dinner in the hands of anyone. I cook at home even if I am invited out for dinner. I like to have a meal at home to eat later.

OLIVIA: No, Moo & Oink closed years ago. You can still buy their products in other stores
.

ME: Picked and washed collard greens. It was so nice outside today (in the 40’s) that's nice for us, We finished cleaning up the yard of dead leaves and bushes. I don’t like to see dead bushes in the winter. I like a clean looking yard even if it is winter.

Good morning ladies,

I finally escaped from my house PRISON!

WINTER... is where I felt TRAPPED in my house like a Prison due to weather emoticon

Monday morning = 30 degrees but feels like 20 degrees per the weather app.

I woke up late at 7:02am and I decided that I was NOT going to spend another day INDOORS
because indoors is where = I was BORED and
because INDOORS is where I was seriously EATING myself to oblivion emoticon

so this morning, I got OUT of bed at 7:02 a.m. and brushed teeth, etc, dressed and dressed my dogs with sweaters and we was outside by 7:09 a.m.

7:11am we was driving OUT the driveway after I opened the gates and we drove to a CLOSE park by my neighborhood.... the one I was afraid to return to years ago....

The park was Empty that early in the morning except for one man and his dog,
later another man came with his UNleashed dog but was on the other side of the park.
*dog was small

What I noticed was every few yards was a pile of adult size dog POOP.
I realized that depending on the park... people took pride in their park surroundings and landscape or they did Not.
In my neighborhood park, beautifulllllll homes but poopy park sad to say.... owners did NOT clean up after their dogs... but I did. I feel it is my duty to and the responsible thing to do.

BRIGHT SIDE:

* took me 3 minutes to drive their as opposed to 15 minutes at the other park.
* It was a WONDERFUL feeling to get OUT of the house and GO somewhere!
* We were HAPPY to be at the Park, yeh!!!!! it is where we belonged, yeh!
* Dog were so happy to be outside and smelling NEW surroundings every few feet.
* ONE lap around the park = 957 steps per my cellphone step counter.

NOT SO BRIGHT SIDE:

* Large animal POOPS visible in the park on the grass every few yards
* I read the sign and this park was smaller of course, no waterfalls, no ducks, just small park
* I read that 3 laps around the park is ONE mile at this small park.
* Mid-way around the park my hands were FREEZINGGGGG
*** Mid-way of ONE lap I found myself OUT OF BREATH... really? from walking? YES!!!!

Reason: I had not CONSISTENTLY moved my body for about 2 or 3 weeks.
Lack of movement = lack of working out the heart muscle and lungs = out of breathe due to used to being sedentary and sitting or laying down ALL the time.

But the BRIGHT SIDE is.... we went OUTSIDE and I can't wait to go AGAIN tomorrow!!!!!!

It was cold... no doubt... but the dogs did NOT care... they were happy they were outside too!

After ONE lap .... 1/3 a mile... we drove back home and I closed the driveway gate and the dogs played outside for a few minutes while I went inside and I feel AWAKE and REFRESHED like I could actually DO SOMETHING IN MY HOUSE TODAY, yeh!!!!!

I cant tell you have HAPPY I am to be back in my routine once again
and over time I will BUILD UP my heart and lung muscles by walking longer and longer over time.

I am not sure if this makes sense but it is WONDERFUL to have some place to go to in the mornings OUTSIDE my house, yeh!!!!

it is like a domino effect to happiness .... go outside, walk, come back refreshed, happy and INSPIRED to eat better and do stuff inside the house that you have been procrastinating about! LOL

this is where we belong = OUTSIDE!!!! emoticon

emoticon emoticon emoticon LESSONS LEARNED: emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon what made me go OUT today?

* I just couldn't take another day of being stuck in prison IN my house. that's how I felt.

* I also realized that if we keep looking in the rear view mirror... we wont move AHEAD.

* I also realized that back in the caveman days... they didnt STOP going out because it was winter... if they did they would starve.... so they dressed up warm and went out HUNTING for food.... and they got their exercise IN at the same time.

* I also realized that SOMETIMES we create our OWN prison ...

* BUT by stepping OUTSIDE OUR COMFORT ZONE...
we can also break FREE!!!

emoticon so that is why I took a STAND and went OUT walking with my dogs emoticon

and discover a world OUTSIDE your comfort zone!

Go outside and experience freedom and it will be Wonderful and cold emoticon

Be brave, take a risk and step outside your comfort zone, hugs.

Good morning ladies and Happy Monday!!!!

What I don't understand is why they would give you their real name? Did they hold themselves "out" as convicts in the first place?

Answer: Because the prerequisite in order to fly out and meet me IN person was to allow me to do a background check on them... therefore the honest name, date of birth, SSN and PHOTO ID was required. They would send me a photo of their drivers license and all the information I requested along with their address, etc.

Ooooo...Dee...Turkey wings and gravy sounds soooooo GOOD!

I love turkey wings. To me they are the best part of the bird. For some reason they're hard to find here. I buy them when I can find them, but it can take months to have enough for a meal.

Hey is Moo & Oink still open? My sister-in-law used to shop there and maybe she still does. I remember it for the funny name...LOL.

Wow Sharon! Your work life was very interesting!

Smart thinking to do background checks on the men you met online!

What I don't understand is why they would give you their real name? Did they hold themselves "out" as convicts in the first place? I have heard of TV shows about women who date men behind bars so maybe there's a "market" for ex-cons...I don't know.

Yes, people will definitely try to sell you on who they are and who they aren't - conveniently forgetting those MINOR details which sealed their fate. In the case of the self-grat guy, good you called him out as a liar without directly stating such.

good afternoon my two angels emoticon it is 3pm on Sunday.

Another day of NOT going anywhere... too cold, too much ice and snow. Nope, staying put. LOL

Raking leaves.... aawwwww that was sweet of you to do.

Turkey and gravy sounds wonderfulllllllllllllllllllllllllll and tempting indeed.

and cooking everything the NIGHT BEFORE and thru out the night will relieve stress and the next day you can just heat up things or plates IN the microwave to eat. AND you can buy pre-made foods like macaroni salad where you can just serve the food from the container to go with the meats :)

Stranded in the snow IN the car???? I would never travel during winter again!!!! Never.... so I cant blame anyone NOT wanting to ever travel during winter season. hugs

okay let your big sis aka: mommy teach you both about a few things.... of course you may know this already but just in case you don't know... here goes:

Criminal backgrounds:

OFFICE WORK.... I used to work with clients who had a criminal past......

with clients I would say things like dont worry plenty of us break the law ... it is just that you got caught is all so let me help you move forward to find employment, etc...... the purpose of that sentence was to TRY to help the convict feel at home and accepted in my office, not feel like an outcast. I will offer COMMUNITY RESOURCES to anyone in need... like referrals..... like I would tell them to go to the soup kitchen to get free meals daily on so and so street.... but never get personally involved and absolutely NEVER do a penpal thing with anyone in jail/prison.

BUT

I was TOUGH in the office when I needed to be tough:

emoticon One time a client told me he was participating in self gratification in the rain in a CAR in front of a business and an employee came to his car and knocked on the window to see if he was okay and that is how she found out he was exposed and called the police. (Remember criminals will portray themselves as INNOCENT and tell you stories for SHOCK value as they get a rise in shocking people... seriously)

and I looked at him and calmly but FIRMLY said... and when you tell people that story do they actually BELIEVE you, seriously? shakes my head...letting him KNOW I did not believe him! .. YES criminals WILL try to get OVER on you IF you let them.... no joke.

ONLINE CRIMINALS... Yes there are criminals who go online on the internet to LOOK for vulnerable people OR young kids, etc....

emoticon Ladies.... I used to date online... like long distance ONLINE.
NOTE: I never ever gave my real age.... just in case anyone was trying to track me down OR use my date of birth to get credit, etc.....

I do NOT do long distance at all NOW... if they do not live in the SAME city, we will never meet. I dont care if it was in the next city an hour away... absolutely NOT! Been there, done that... will NEVER do it again.... learned from my experiences from long distance online. Nope.

But my rule of thumb when I did long distance in the USA... and ONLY in the USA... my rule was a background check was MANDATORY!!!!!!! No exceptions.

reason: I worked with people from all walks of life needing help and the background checks that was mandatory would come back pretty BAD....

that is how I learned to do background checks on my OWN from the same provider for $35.

emoticon ONE TIME I did a background check on a POTENTIAL long distance boyfriend and the background check came back that he THREW HIS MOTHER DOWN THE STAIRS and plead GUILTY. emoticon his OWN mother!!!!!

by the way ... people who break the law and imprisoned have a HABIT OF LYING so do not believe anything that they say..... they HAVE TO master the art of manipulation and lying to save face in front of people and to be accepted and to USE people to their benefit... so no matter what do NOT believe them EVEN if they say they were jailed due to be heroic!!!!!

so when I asked him what happened, he said: I did not throw my mother down the steps, she FELL down the steps and I pleaded guilty BECAUSE they would have put me in prison for yearsssssssssss so I plead bargained for a LESSER sentence.

emoticon wow.

he said can I still fly out and see you?
My answer: NO but thanks anyways.

the INVESTIGATOR also contacted me DIRECTLY because he knew I was paying out of my own pocket to run background checks on potential dates/relationships... the investigator call me directly to report there was a MORE on the report that = NOT only did he THROW his own mother down a flight of stairs.... that he also paid for insurance for her in case she DIED.... he was trying to Collect and they had PROOF of it... that is the only reason why he took a PLEA bargain and he plead guilty !!!! wow!

so no he was not EVER coming to my house..... he only had my phone number
he NEVER EVER had my address. I never give my address to anyone.... I always meet them in a public setting.

soooooooooooooooooooooo

thats why I say NEVER believe anyone who tries to justify a criminal act or DOWN play an act.

QOD: No I would not get involved with anyone with a criminal past. It would definitely have to be in the case which Olivia stated. I have seen just about every movie Denzel has starred in.

OLIVIA: I guess I should have said my “husband’s family” has the tradition of saying why they are thankful. They also eat late, after 6:00 p.m. My family (siblings) we eat when all the dishes have arrived and that could be all night. In the past when I hosted Thanksgiving Dinner, my eat time was 3:00 p.m. and still is today. My kitchen is clean and closed down at 7:00 p.m.

I bake and freeze pies, greens, yams weeks ahead of time. I make cornbread dressing the day before along with boiling the pasta for macaroni and cheese. So much can be done days before.

You may want to start a new tradition, “early dinner”. No holiday should be that stressful.

This year I decided to smother turkey wings in gravy instead of baking a turkey. I will have the traditional sides, greens, candied yams, dressing, mac and cheese, etc.

We eat left overs until Saturday, I refuse to cook days after. Fresh meal on Sunday.

Yes I finished raking the leaves. I woke up every muscle in my body.

SHARON: I am in the shape I am now just for grazing all day on holidays and almost every other day during the year. emoticon

A huge part of losing weight is believing you can do it and realizing it's not going to happen overnight.

Dee,

Did you finish raking leaves?

Today I (well we,) cut down two huge bushes! Over our heads HUGE!

When it was time to rake up the leaves - I thought of you. emoticon

It just "looks" easy!

Hey Sis,

Thank you for seeing the obvious problem...LOL

Great idea to cook the night before! Especially the turkey!!

I've never cooked the night before because I hate leftovers and having to reheat everything (to me) is just like cooking...yeah I know...LOL

Honestly.............I HOPE to never have to go it alone again. It's just toooooo much work for one person!

**************

Sorry to hear you're stuck in the house due to the cold weather!

I've seen some brutal winters and a snow storm that left us stranded somewhere in Texas when I-40 closed. We were there "some where" for a day and a half and had to sleep in the car, then the car got snowed in and some "angel people" helped us get out. We ended up at a McDonald's in some small town that was running out of food. Yes, the entire town! Everyone who got stuck was in this poor town!

Sadly it was so traumatic, that was the last road trip we've ever taken with the our kids. My son refused to ever do it again :-(

It's still HOT here. Still in the 80's, and I were home for Thanksgiving I'd have to cook with the air conditioner on!
Our weather is the flip side of yours (extreme cold - extreme heat) so I understand what you mean about not wanting to go out and feeling stuck.

If you're inclined to go to the gym, do you think they may sign you up for a monthly membership as opposed to a full year? I ask because some gyms in Phoenix will.

emoticon Question of the Day emoticon

I can't see myself having a relationship with someone who has been incarcerated.

BUT, when I was single, I NEVER had the good sense to ask. It never occurred to me!

I'll consider it another bullet dodged and give thanks my angels had my back AND my front. TBTG!!

On the other hand, with so many of our men incarcerated for stupid reasons, if I knew the person...Hmm, never mind. Still no!

Okay...found my other hand! If he were incarcerated for an act of heroism/sacrifice like Denzel Washington in the move John Q. in which the character held hostages because he was desperate to find a heart for his dying son. Then yes!

That character is my kind of person!

Absolutely YES!!

For any action in which someone with a pure heart would sacrifice themselves to benefit another!

YES!!

Sharon,

My daughter's new family shares the same tradition as yours with an early dinner and grazing all day. emoticon

emoticon We eat in the afternoon around 4:00 and sometimes later - much later.

I make too many dishes and despite having a schedule and timeline, I always run late. It's STRESSFUL!!

That time is still early for us as we don't normally have dinner until 7:00 and sometimes later - much later.
