I've been blessed to be able to do almost anything on my end, for the time being. Last summer I was even running a total of about 20 K per week. I love doing cross-country skiing in the winter (I live in Quebec, Canada) and snowshoeing. When I was first diagnosed by my rheumatologist, I asked her what I could and couldn't do, and she told me to go ahead and do what feels good and stop what doesn't. I noticed, however, that I have lost some flexibility lately so I will try to increase that in the next few months.

My favourite exercise is water aerobics and when I was doing that regularly my pain was greatly reduced - unfortunately since I returned to work I have stuggled to attend classes due to the local timetable. I can fully recommend water exercises though as being useful.

I do Yoga, workout in a gym with weights and im part of a self-help-group thats meets once a week and is leaded by a specialized pt.
And i love water gym in warm thermal water. Common pool temperature is too low for me - exept in hot summer.

My rheum. has suggested water exercise. I am very curious what kind of exercise other AS people do?
