Erin, it is interesting that your doctor prescribed these. I looked them up and they sound intesesting. But the Plaquenil says to to be used with people with psoriasis,

I am actually going off the Humira because my husband and I are planning a pregnancy. I am going to try to not take any medicine for AS during the pregnancy. It sounds like most of you have more fatigue than I do. I just get tired in the mornings and frequently I take naps when my son does. I also have bipolar disorder and take medication that can make you tired. I have been hard on myself for being tired, so I wanted to know if it is was part of the symptoms. I hadn't remembered reading that before this week. So, it made me feel a little better knowing that it was part of the illness.

Yes. Tired, tired, tired. I take a ton of B vitamins. My rheumi prescribed Plaquenil and Limbrel to help fight the fatigue and it does work. I'm not bouncing with energy everyday but I do notice a difference when I am taking those meds. The plaquenil takes about 3 months to kick in, so the sooner the better, if possible. Take care everyone!!

I had a real hard time when I first started going to physical therapy. It wore me out really bad for two full days and then I would just have to go back for me. My stamina has improved with increased exercising. I am no longer totally exhausted the day I do the exercises. It is strange, however, that the following day I am drained. It was really difficult to do the exercises at first but the more I did the more I was able to do.

Me too. The fatigue has always been a problem for me. It does seem that it goes in cycles. When I am too fatiqued (or in pain)I do not excercise as much. When I don't exercise, I'm more fatigued and have more pain.

So I constantly battle against it. Don't always win. This is something I'm hoping is helped with the Humira.

Fatigue has been the worst part of the AS for me. I am tired all the time and get extremely tired after any physical exhurtion. When I was on Remicade it greatly reduced. You might be having a tempory reaction to the Humira. If it does not improve ask your doctor for a different medication. I have not yet found anything that helps with the fatigue and have asked the same question many times and have never received an answer.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have fatigue? I read it is a common symptom of AS. Also after I started HUMIRA, my fatigue worsened. Anyone have this problem?
