I made a new Green Smoothie;

Spinach - 2 Cups
Celery - 1 stalk
Water Chestnuts - 1/2 Cup
Chia Seeds - 1 Tbs
Banana - 1, 7&1/2" Long
Strawberries - 1/2 Cup sliced
Blueberries - 1/2 Cup
Filtered Water - 2 Cups

I love the Ninja; we use it more often than the juicer.

My husband is stuck in the 200s I hope this kick starts some weight loss, fingers crossed.

I was drinking a smoothie for breakfast got out of the habit. After reading all this I will have to give green smoothies a try sounds good and just what I really need.

MEMEJ4 I use my Ninja I don't have a juicer. I have just been drinking Green Smoothies for about 2 weeks everyday and I haven't had any meat or dairy.

The things I have noticed so far are.

1) I have become calmer and thinking clearer.
2) My skin is not a yellowish color anymore.
3) I have more energy and want to do more.
4) I crave more water & fresh fruits.
NOTE: I never liked to eat fruit before.

My Green Smoothie for today:

Water, 2 cups (filtered)
Spinach, 1 hand full
Parsley, 1 hand full
Swiss Chard, 1 big leaf
Banana,1/2 large
Strawberries, 5 frozen
Peaches, 5 frozen
Pineapple, 1 slice fresh
Flax Oil, 2 tsp.

That made enough for 2 of my G. Smoothies today and I find that if I make them before I go to bed, it is sweeter in the morning. That makes it easier to get started off on the right foot for me too.

Thank you Charlie for posting your smoothies. My husband wants to get back to juicing and these are really going be great to add to his program. I have a Ninja blender and a Jack Lalanne juicer, what do you use to make your smoothies.

EMTGIRL352, sorry my internet was down a few days. To answer your question: Yes, they taste great! You can't even taste the greens with all the fruit in them. You can put any fruit or green in them you like. Talk about good for you, it gives you body the alkaline it needs.

I'm loving these Green Smoothies! Very little cooking to do and my skin is looking a lot better.

Enough for Breakfast & Lunch

6 Strawberries
Peaches, 6 slices
Pineapple, 1 slice
Avocado, 1/2
Spinach, 2 cups
Aloe Vera, 1 inch (pealed & rinsed)
Soy Milk, 1/2 cup
Water, 1 cup

OK, is this seriously good? I'm not too big on veggies. I like spinach in salads, but can't imagine how it would taste in a smoothie . . . .keep your recipes coming! I may try!

My green smoothie today contained:

Pineapple, fresh, 1 slice
Peaches, frozen, 4 slices
Strawberries, frozen, 4
Banana, 1 half
Flax Seed, 1 tbs.
Spinach, 3 oz.
Water, half cup
Soy Organic Milk, half cup

So sweet and smooth, Loved it. emoticon

You can put anything you love in a Green Smoothie as long as you have some Greens in it. Any Greens!!! I've had this for breakfast the past 3 days and one for lunch today with one exception. I was out of bananas so I used an apple instead. The aloe vera is optional. I just know how good they are for you and happen to have a lot of it.

1 cup of filtered water
3 ounces (about 2 cups) of baby spinach
1 large banana
4 large strawberries
10 green grapes
1 " aloe vera (pealed & rinsed)

I also added a little sweetener too. I'm just getting started on Green Smoothies too! Very tasty to me.
