ETHERIAL, are you saying that you have cramps in your calves? If so, I can tell you that I take Magnesium for my leg cramps. I don't know if it would work for you but it does the trick for me.

Have you seen any change in your body sense you started doing Zumba everyday? I know they say that you should let your body rest for your mussels to recover but, I think that's mostly for weight lifting. Zumba is cardio, like walking, running or riding a bike, right. So, go for it!!!

I didn't think I was losing any weight doing Zumba 3-4x a week, so for the past two weeks, I ramped it up to 7 days a week. I have to stop myself from doing it 2x a day because I love it so much, but don't want to burn out on it, plus the yada-yada-yada, body needs to rest stuff. That said, I have some arthritis is both my knees and I take meds for it and once the pain subsides, I'm on a rolls. The only thing is bedtime, I have to take more because my legs will hurt so bad, mainly the calves, that my fiance has to rub them down with the heels of his feet for a few minutes to calm them down and then I'm fine. Sometimes I use a heating pad or the pad with the red light (sonic?) heat with massage balls inside. But the meds help a great deal. I only need to take 'em 2x a day. After breakfast and at bedtime. Sometimes, I'll use a muscle relaxer, but not often. I even bought us a large bottle of gummy vitamins, even though we eat a lot of protein and veggies. I think we need more vitamins.

Okay, last night I was so tired from Saturday chores, birthday party for a one year old, trying to put up heavy-azzed drapes (which we nixed the plan), ate dinner and watched a movie.

I could feel my body easing down. I was tired with a capital ZUMBA. It can really work you if you put yourself into it. I would love to look like the dvd instructor, Tanya or Gina when I reach my goal. Even though I was dog-tired last night, I'm waiting for daylight so I can do it again this morning! Can you believe it?

I know you're supposed to have a day of rest, but do what? At least I'm only doing the 20 minutes session today. Keeping it light. That's my rest.

That is emoticon Kim!!! I hope you keep up the losing steady until you reach your goal. Thanks for being understanding.

I decided to forget about losing and just work on being healthy and I'll be darned if I didn't drop 3.8 lbs this week. Maybe it's just that I have been so busy.

I'm the same way with my DVD's Charlie so this is what I did this week. I wrote down the titles of all of mine and and the times each workout is 20 mins, 60 mins etc. Then depending on what day it is: Mon-Weds I don't have much time to work out I draw a title out of hat and do that DVD. One of the lesser time ones.
ON Thurs-Sundays I draw a title of one of the longer ones out of the hat and do that. it makes me do them. Otherwise they just sit on the shelf and collect dust. I just started doing this but so far its making me do them. kim

This past week has been a wild week. On Feb. 1st about 5 PM one of our cows had a calf in 10 degree weather with ice and snow on the ground. We had to take the 65 lb bull calf away from the mama and dry it off then milk her and bottle feed to save the calf. We were up all night with the calf that we named "To Cold" (TC).

The next morning we put the mama and calf in a stall to make sure the mama would nurse TC after us taking him away from. After a week of hauling in water and hay to the mama they are back in the pasture and doing fine. TC is romping around and nursing just fine. We still have snow and ice. This is very unusual for Texas.

Now it's back to regular exercising for me.

I have finally got a few friends to do Zumba with me at my house on:

Sun. 2 PM
Tue. 6PM
Thur. 6 PM

I'm so excited emoticon Tomorrow is our 1st Sunday!!! Wish me luck on keeping it going.

Don't laugh-I do a walking dvd with Leslie while I watch Dogs 101 on the Animal Planet in the mornings. I usually take Sat off-makes the rest of the week more of a "must" for me,

Well, I've been lazy about exercise for several days and have been beating myself up about. I just can't seem to get in the grove I want.

I did get my 60 minutes of Callanetics in at 10 AM this morning and my friend Deana is coming over to Zumba with me tonight. So maybe I can get things of on the right foot again. Wish me luck!!! Progress Not Perfection, RIGHT!!!!

We have a small 20 acre hobby ranch. We raise Belted Galloway Cattle. They are a rare breed from Scotland. Some people call them Oreo cattle cause they are solid black, red, or dune with a wide white stripe around their middle.

I didn't get to my Walking and Callantics yesterday, we had to take care of cattle. But, I did get the exercise done today. The funny thing is the Farm Work for 3 hours burned a lot more calories. But, I was still at 176.6 lbs this morning.

My new goal is to reach 150 Lbs by July 4th. Last year I did a challenge called "25 Pounds in 25 Weeks" and lost 25 Lbs in 17 weeks. So I know I can do it again. The hardest part for me is to get in the habit of exercise again.

Getting Started......is the hardest part of building any good habit for me and most of us.

My weight today was 176.2 Lbs

Hi Charlie!

OK, I will be glad to post my wt this week!! LOL!!
I had gained 4.5 lbs over the holidays and was 147 on New Years day. Today I was down to 142!! Wooo-hooo!!
It's all from getting the Christmas candy and cookies out of the house (eaten!) and back to regular Zumba classes!!! emoticon
