ok.. so I checked out the website.. it is ok but I have a 100 pushup challenge in a training book I have at home.. I am going to fallow that to start..

On my knees
3 sets of 5 pushups day 1
2 sets of 3 dips day 1

I see that some are doing the challenge still so I wish to join in.. I will go and check out the full challenge and get started right away.. I am so weak in my upper body its just what I need.. I also think I will add in dips.. just to challenge my arms a bit more..

Terri and Charlie, you are doing so good. The pushups really hurt my shoulder, so I have fallen off the wagon!! I am going to try the plank, I think that would really be good. I am still nursing my knee and it has my whole left side out of wack. I went for a massage tonight, I hope that does the trick!!

For Everybody else that can't do Push-ups because of week wrist, I have found this video for No-Crunch Core and Ab Strengthening it is called "Planking". Take a look and see if this would work for you. video.about.com/exercise/hip-lift.ht

The Plank.
Why It Rocks: The plank (or hover) is an isolation move used in Pilates and Yoga and works the abs, back, arms and legs. The plank also targets your internal abdominal muscles.

How to Do It: Lie face down on mat with elbows resting on floor next to chest. Push your body off the floor in a pushup position with body resting on elbows or hands. Contract the abs and keep the body in a straight line from head to toes. Hold for 30-60 seconds and repeat as many times as you can. For beginners, do this move on your knees and gradually work your way up to balancing on your toes.

it tells you how to do the challenge. It is done by sets. You do so many per set, until you build up to 100.

While I am finding it easier, my arms still hurt,and I don't think I will ever be able to do a full push up, but for now the alternative will do! This is really going to give me some upper body stregnth.

Ok SISTER-CHICKS, now that I feel really old now, after being on the other thread " How do you feel today... use emoticons!".

I'm going to try to start out with the alternative pushups on Mon, Wed, & Fri. I'm not setting any goals yet, first I want to see if I can do them and how many I'm able to do.

Well, I did 10 today!!! I did start out with the alternative pushup. I think I will stay with that until I can do the other. My arms are shaking!! But I did it!!

Goal is 100 full pushups by the end of May.
