WE have one of those collapseable travel dog bowls for Jack. I wear one of those belts that you can put bottled water in and then I put the plastic poop bags and his bowl in the zipper compartment. After the poop bags are filled I carry them separately to a trash can BTW!

I always bring a bowl and bottled water but generally my dogs are picky and will only eat and drink at home!!

I have a bowl that collapses & hooks to the leash or the strap that I carry the water bottle on. They have licked out of the bottle cap before too.

Jen has to be bottle fed water when we're out and there isn't a river around. Usually when I'm out with her for any length of time, we're hiking to the pond or by the river or at the beach which has a fresh water tributary running into it and she'll drink there. I've never had a dog who would just drink from a bowl someplace away from home! I've even tried bringing water from home, but it never worked.

How do you provide water when you are out walking? Will your dog drink from a fountain? Sports bottle? Or do they need a bowl?

Gypsy will get up the the "human" fountain and drink. If there is not a fountain, I have to have a bowl for her.

Tazzy loves Sports Bottles, she sucks on them like a baby and if you stop squeezing (so the water flow stops) she backs up and barks at it. We also have doggie fountains on our favorite trail that she will use. I can't get her to try standing up for the human ones.
