I think the only one I would want to know a little more about at this point, on a personal story line, would be JJ. We don't know much about her background. I like it when the deal more on plot lines than vivid images of crime scenes. I like mysteries; don't so much like horror/gory stuff..

I don't know about the religion aspect, I respect religion, I am religious. But I did like knowing that for Emily it took her 15 years to find friends, and to her that meant a lot, as it seems she really had no one to care about her, and even when she joined the team I think she was afraid of that, and now she views them as family. There has been personal show on almost all of them now, Morgan with his coach molasting him, Hotch with the divorce, Spencer with the drugs and his mother, Rossi with the kids and the long time it took to catch that killer, Garcia with the cop who tried to kill her. I think we are seeing a bit of each one, over time, as they draw closer to each other tighter into a family unit like with JJ and the baby. Which I think is good, it's not in every show, but every once in a while to remind us they are human.

Lainye, I thought that too. That was probably the only part of the episode I liked - getting to know Emily better as a person. She seemed so robot-like when she first started on the series - little emotion, rather cold. I like seeing her as a person: with insecurities, flaws, frustrations, regrets - because we all have those to one degree or another.

Okay, I watched the show last night finally. Really creepy. I am going to avoid the religion aspect and ask instead Are the going to start more personal information on all the characters? We certainly know a lot more about Emily than we ever did.

I don't disagree with you. The idea "the devil made me do it" - no, each person, including priests, are responsible for their actions. In the case of "exorcisms", yes, the priest committed murder, because the idea would be to separate the demon from the soul, not to separate the soul (life) from the body. That kind of defeats the purpose.

And my questons aren't because I won't separate out the religion aspect; it's more about wondering what the writers' intent are.

My next question is, do they intend to continue this story line? Because if they did want to keep the idea that maybe the men were possessed, they each had bloody noses during their exorcisms, at the very end of the episode, Emily has a bloody nose when she's standing in front of the church. So are they implying that she is now possessed, or is it one of those Oooo -- what if--- moments?

ok I didn't want this to turn into a religion talk but here is my view. yes God and Satan exist, but we has human have free will, Jesus died given us that, Man is the one who made the bible, if you knew for example that there are over 100 books not put into the bible because man made that decision not God. Also depending on which translation you are using, some of the words are translated differently because in that language at that time period they didn't have that word, so they took the closest one. To study the bible means you have to take all form of the bible, know ancient Hebrew, Greek, Arabric, and Latin. So for a Man to go after 3 men who were have mental issues, and the parents of the first man was questioning their original faith in High School and they blamed Emily for it, and used that reason to get the Priest to come and "cure" him, is not a valid reason for a exocism. Same with the other two. The 4th guy challanged the Priest not for religious beliefs but because he knew the Priest wasn't serving God, he was serving his own selfish purposes, and when you know you are fighting someone in the wrong I think that makes you a strong person and able to fight for the good fight. Hotch was able to have him sent back to the Vatican because the Priest and his helpers were in the wrong, they killed innocent men, used evil methods of doing it. You may wear the cloth of goodness but still be evil. We have seen it numerous times in our churches, but not all are evil, just like not all men are evil. It comes down to free will.

I agree with Clehman -- yes the devil exists; I also believe in Jesus Christ, my Savior.
I think my biggest problem with the episode last night, looking from a Bible standpoint, (with each character saying the know the Bible...) is that: God is all-powerful and all-knowing; Satan is not either one, yet they give the appearance of power and wisdom to evil. (The last guy, who was rescued, saying "I'm stronger than you are....")

hi yes that was murder. maybe not the first exorcism he did,but every one after was ,because he knew what the outcome could be.what ever happened to the men who were there to help. i missed if they were arrested and sent back to italy or what? also do you believe in the devil here on earth I'm kinda leaning towards that idea, but not sure yet, i do know that there is a lot of evil.

I would say so. He got each of the men's heart rate up, therefore killing them. Towards the end of the show, Emily's friend, who wasn't involved traveling overseas, almost suffered the same fate as the 3 men. The priest, knowingly went to the guy's house to kill him.

It was a good show last night. I'm looking forward to next week show! Our Mr. hottie, Morgan, looks like he'll be in danger...please no!!

Last night show was a hot bed topic if you ask me, anything to do with religion is. If you leave the religious factors out. 3 of the men were suffering from different forms of mental illness, if the man wasn't a priest, do you think that was murder? I know it's hard to separate the man from the religion, but try.
