There's no way I'm going to reach my goal by the anniversary, but I'm still thrilled with my progress. Instead of wearing tight size 14s, I'm wearing size 10s. I'm dragging around 25 pounds less on my frame and joints. I look and feel so much better. I'm not giving up - I will go on to lose the rest! Took a good look at myself in my birthday suit this morning and there are still some issues that need to be addressed. I know what to do.

You have a choice...you can throw in the towel or you can use it to wipe the sweat off your face.

with NO excuses & don't wait on motivation that may never come. Take responsibility for your journey whether you 'feel like it' or not, you'll be glad you did!" ~ NOTABOUTHEFACE

In 10 months I have lost 83 pounds! I continue to work toward my goal weight of 140 pounds and I hope to make that goal by my birthday on February 25th when I will turn 55. I am not sure that I can make that goal by that time but I will be trying my best. Keep working towards your goals and remember to give yourself some leway and you can succeed. All you can do is try your best. If you slip up, just pick yourself up and keep going. Just move! That is the key.
Keep sparking bright!

emoticon OMG! In 10 months I have yo-yoed up & down with my weight. Overall, I've lost about 10-12 pounds in 10 months. emoticon

I have learned new habit systems & am getting MUCH better at portion control & have learned which foods & food additives to avoid & why!

All in all, I am pleased with the trend of my weight loss. Even though I cannot brag about the BIG NUMBER OF POUNDS I lost, at least (overall) the trend has been downward towards my goal & I'm happy with myself, my efforts and LOVE SPARKPEOPLE!!!!

As I was just writing on someone's blog Comments, my view of weight loss (for me & some other Sparkers too) is that of a DOWNWARD SPIRAL - - - so as long as we are headed DOWN the scale, there's no reason to beat ourselves up or feel badly about it.
Everyday is another opportunity to do better.

Not bad for someone who can barely walk from one room of the house to the other because of serious physical handicaps!

THANK YOU BJ. You are a special part of the program & much appreciate ALL the time & effort you have put in towards our success. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

Margrit

In 10 moths I have lost and maintained a 34 pound weight loss. I have gone down 8 pant sizes. I've met some wonderful people that have greatly supported me in my effort. I also hope I have helped them. I have learned to control my food intake and make healthy food choices. I have learned to enjoy my cardio workouts. Still working on the strength. My disposition and outlook on life has greatly improved. I've accepted that there are no easy answers in ones health, that I and I alone am responsible for me and this body. I have met my original goal that I set when I first joined. I have since decided to adjust my goal down by 10 pounds. I hope to have those final 10 pounds gone before I reach my 1st year. I also hope that I can be as supportive, and spread the spark as others have done for me.

First I have lost and kept off 35 pounds, I had lost 40 but put on a few during my trip to the states. While in the states I kept up with the groups I was with when we went walking and sight seeing. I have cleaned up my yard a lot. I have encouraged and gotten some friends to join SparkPeople! I am feeling better!

I want to loose at least the 50 pounds that was set a a goal when I joined. I hope to encourage others to join SparkPeople and get control of their lives.

Ok, team it has been 10 months since you joined SparkPeople. Share with us what you have accomplished in that time. Also, what would you like to accomplish before reaching your first year Sparkiversary?
