Thanx for the ideas, I didn't think about substituting the fat free yogurt. Happy Easter everyone!

Don't have anything that really pops out at me - sometimes when a recipe calls for milk/sour cream I will subsitute with yogurt. I've put it in mashed potatoes/califlower also and works well. I'm always throwing it in something!

I have been using fat free yogurt for a long time. There is a really good recipe in Recipes for a Small Planet that is really good, and it has yogurt in the title, Yogurt Barley Soup. Check it out sometime.

I also have used the yogurt in some dishes and didn't even notice the difference. Never tried the Ranch dip - that's next! Thanks for sharing!

I know greek yogurt is richer and thicker, but I have been using regular plain yogurt in place of things in my recipes and it has worked like a dream. Examples:

1. In dip instead of sour cream - ranch dip mix and FF plain yogurt - YUM - eat with carrots and celery

2. Dip instead of mayonnaise - We made a chipotle dip for artichokes last night that we usually make with mayo - I put like 1 Tbs in it and my husband didn't even notice!

3. In coleslaw instead of mayo! I make a slaw with cabbage, mango and avocado, sweet vinegar and mayo, and I used fat free plain yogurt with 1 tbs of mayo and the vinegar, a little splenda, and again, husband couldn't tell the difference!!!

4. I have used it with pasta sauce to make a low fat tomato alfredo to put over pasta and veggies

I plan to always have fat free plain yogurt in my fridge from here on!
