I can't believe it has been 3 months already. I haven't really lost alot of weight yet, but I have learned alot about consistant exercise and how much better you feel doing some every day.

Wow... 3 months.

3 months ago I was:

- 23 lbs heavier.
- in the middle of the Couch to 5K running program.
- about a month & a half into changing my life for the better

I've met some great people on SP & am so, SO glad I joined. It's been yet another fantastic source of inspiration all-around.

I love the nutritional and fitness trackers, too. Once you get in the habit of tracking there is nothing to it. I feel lost now when I don't track and often think to myself...'why haven't I done this all along'.

The last 3 months have made a HUGE difference. On the scale and in my mindset.

I have finally realized that if I have a bad meal, day, weekend, whatever....that's all it is. I can pick right back up where I was and keep going. Before I would just throw in the towel.

Spark has been amazing in teaching me what I think I already knew...you have to be healthy. I never realized that just that would be the way to really melt pounds.

For me, the big thing has been the Food Tracker and counting calories. I never wanted to be a calorie counter, but it truly has made the difference for me. A lady at work asked me just yesterday what my secret to losing weight was. And I told her about Spark and for me, the calorie counter. She wrinkled her nose. It was then that it really sunk in...there is no secret. You have to cut down calorie and MOVE.

I am so glad to have found this site, and mostly the SUPPORT with the Teams and the friends. Thank you to everyone who has been a motivation!

This is an awesome question and some awesome answers. Thank you SARAHTRESSA for posting the question. I am so proud of each of you for your accomplishments, whether it be weight loss or working on the lifestyle change. You picked a difficult time to begin trying to get healthy with holidays and all, but looks like you've done great. Keep up the great work!

Oh, SARAHTRESSA, how about you? How has the three months been for you?

Happy emoticon to all of you!

BJ

I'm started on a healthy, long term approach to food & fitness. The last three months have helped me sort out all the conflicting things I had picked up from years of trying the latest weight loss craze.

I don't have large numbers on the scale, but I have a new mind-set that will take me there.

-- Megan --

Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask why climb the highest mountain? ... Why does Rice play Texas? We choose to [do these things], not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win..."

The last 3 months on SparkPeople has been great in helping me to work toward my goal weight. I have had weeks where I lost up to 4 pounds and weeks where I have lost only 1 pound. I am grateful that I have lost every week since I joined SparkPeople. I know that my tracking what I eat and my workouts have been key to the success I have seen.
Today I went with my boyfriend for his appointment with a nutritionalist and I told her about the SparkPeople website and I think that she will be referring her patients. I feel good about spreading the spark. I look forward to continued success. I hope for the same for all of you too. emoticon emoticon

I've come to believe that my goal weight IS possible if I continue following the SP program. There has been some weight lost - - and new lifehabits started as well as a different mindset which will carry me through this program to a successful conclusion.
AND I made a bunch of really nice new SparkFriends!!!

The last three months I have
- worked out on Thanksgiving, Christmas, My Birthday and New Years , instead of thinking because it's a holiday I can rest today ( or worse, pig out)
- watched my clothing size go down...it had been going the other way quite rapidly ( very alarming!!).
-learned a lot about exercise and nutrition
-ensured that I will be here for the six month anniversary too, because I like Spark people . emoticon

I' ve accomplished alot in 3 months for my health. I started eating healthier and you know what I like it better.

I've completed the new you boot camp and decided I like to workout. Yes, you read that correctly.

I completed a 12 week biggest loser challenge through the holidays and the super bowl, still managed to lose 9 pounds.

I have continued to be a nonsmoker.

I have give myself and those that care about me the most the best gift of all, a healthier and happier me.

My greatest accomplishment has been stamina. I decided yard work especially to get rid to the weed, vine, "Chain of Love" off my fence. I started off working for 10 minutes. Tuesday it was up to 20 minutes. I am pleased!

The last 3 months have been a whirlwind. I have come fo far and accomplished so much. Made great new friends and turned over a new tree. I thought that turning over a new leaf just wasn't enough!

Awesome question!
