Yeah, unfortunately today I couldn't excercise at all due to the air quality being poor outside AND inside. Start to do an activity and you could just feel it in your lungs. Hopefully tomorrow will be much better as the fires are virtually out and the ash has stopped falling. Not only will I get my cardio in, but I'll have to get some yard work in to clean up the mess that now coats everything!

Reason 1 to pat myself on the back - the air quality by my house is horrible right now do to wildfires that are burning just a few miles from here (yes, I live in So Cal), and I was totally prepared to use that as an excuse not to do my daily cardio today. Instead, I used the PS2 to play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for 40 minutes and mangaged to burn 376 calories for my effort! Nice to avoid excuses even when perfectly valid ones are right there in front of you.

2nd reason to pat myself on the back is I stood on a scale for the first time since Oct. 30, and I've dropped 14 pounds since then! I'm now at a weight I haven't cracked below since arriving there, so I'm anxious to get below it and see that magic 199 in 2 months.
