The official boot camp will be over, but if it is like the spring boot camp the team will stay. So, you can always stay on that team and continue to do it. There are other team leaders on it other than Coach Nicole for just that purpose. If it is working for you, don't emoticon keep doing it.

Kmbrund - you could always start the bootcamp over again, or there was another bootcammp last spring you could try. Or last, get a copy of 30 day shred and do that! You can do it!

The bootcamp has been great, but it will be over tomorrow. I saw more success from it than anything else. I have no idea where to go from here. I would like to say I could keep it up alone, but bootcamp gave me some extra accountability that really helped to motivate me. I started a team Extra Support/Accountability so I a, hoping it can get me through to swimsuit bootcamp! UGH! I do not want to backslide!

I started at 203 and today I'm at 196.0 For the first time in a long time I didn't over eat at Thanksgiving or Christmas. I can't remember the last time that happened. I also am wearing a smaller size pants. My goal weight is 150. I hope to be there by this summer.

Hi! Just saw this thread, great idea!
Height: 5'5" (Age 35, if you wanna know!)
Beginning Weight: 156 (Jan 1, 2008)
Goal weight: ??? was 129, then 126
Current Weight: 123

I've recently completed the weightlifting program from the book, The New Rules of Lifting for Women, and it CHANGED my life! (At least diet and fitness-wise, that is!) Been losing consistently but not at really low calories like I've done before to lose weight and then gain it all back. I'm working on getting rid of a little more of the belly and saddlebag fat until the end of December and then going on maintenance calories and working on more recomposition.

I haven't gotten around to the tape measure yet, but I will say I was PLEASANTLY surprised when I fit into my jeans, the dress I wore to a ball last night, and was weighed at my doctor's office Friday--I've now lost 4 lbs since November 2nd. That's a big deal to me! emoticon

Another great way to earn some Spark Points is with cardio and strength. See if you can't fit a 10 minutes workout in some time during the day. That would be a great place to start. There are some great short workout videos right here at SP.

I measrued myself on my start date but that the only time. I want to wait until my first 20 lbs is lost. I started 11/07 or 11/08th (not sure) I lost 10 lbs just following the calories count that was given to me.This week may not be good though because the holiday was really hard! I have't thrown in the work outs yet because it takes a good amount of time to plan meals, track nutrition and earn spark points. I am hoping that once I get used to eating these healthier meals it will be the norm to cook like this and the time it takes to prepare will be shorter. ( I hope!) I can't wait to reach that 20 lb goal and see how many inches have melted off! Congratulations to everyone for all goals reached! Joan

I love seeing those kinds of numbers, and it's what gets me through times when the scale seems stuck. I've been here/done it before, though, and also know that within a couple of months, even the measurements will dwindle during plateaus.

Still - if you want to add this as a way to get a little extra pick-me up, measure (and try to limit it to every few weeks or even a month if you can stand it). I measure:

Neck
Chest
Upper Arms
Waist
Hips
Upper Thighs
Calves

I reckon if I added wrists and ankles that could give me a couple of more ways to see the fat dwindling away! (HOPEFULLY!) emoticon

The scale goes up & down for me. I measure stuff to monitor progress (or not).

In my first month with Spark People, I've lost a total of 17.25 inches!

Nope - that's not enough for a size change. It's a quarter of an inch here and there that, over the month, have added up to sound like a lot.

So when you see those commercials that say things like "Lose 10 inches in 4 weeks!", know that you're getting a better deal with Spark People!

Y'all are doing great! I wish I could say the same thing for me. I haven't lost anything this month. My calories have been high the past few days. Hopefully that will work like it has before and get my body out of the rut and start losing again. Keep up the great work y'all are doing and I'm going to keep working on it, too.

emoticon Thanks BJ! This was perfect timing for me. Since I was away from home on my first official weigh in day I didn't do it until this morning, and I was really surprised to see that I'd lost 3.2 lbs. emoticon I was surprised because I've been really struggling with compulsive eating through the last couple of weeks with the move and some emotional issues I'm dealing with. This goes to show that even the little changes and the few really good days that I did manage to get in made a difference. And it's really given me the incentive to just keep doing the best I can with my small goals. I remember reading in one of SP's articles this week that even when things aren't going real well in your life, if you take even just a couple small action steps then you're still moving in a forward motion toward your final goal.

I had an email this morning asking where to share goals and triumphs. I began telling ARIANNELOU we could do that in the Can We Talk and Sound Off threads. Then I thought about it and said to myself, 'BJ start another thread just for this'. So, here it is! Share what you want about your journey here. I think it would be great to post your beginning weight and a goal weight for a certain date then report back your current weight weekly, monthly or how ever often you want. If you like you can share measurements, also, or just note how many inches lost when you report your current weights. Do it however you like, but share your journey with us.
