I'm letting my bridesmaid's chose their own dresses. As long as it is Pool/Turquoise. I think a bit of diversity in the dresses looks real nice. My bridesmaids all have different body shapes and sizes so I want to make sure they feel very comfortable.

I think it was that ocean blue colour that they tried. I hope the colour you want is enough of a lavender for you! They will have fabric swatches when you look in person so you'll be able to see the actual colour.

Did it look more blue when you tried it on? I have only seen it on the website, and I know those colors can be misleading...I'm actually looking for lavender. My colors are lavender, silver, and white.

Meagan, my girls LOVED that one! (They tried it on in that blue colour and it looked great on both of them.) I just really didn't want them to wear satin, and they love the one we ended up picking anyways.

Tina, the link's not working again! But it was for a bit and I saw the dress and it's gorgeous! I love the chiffon overlay - it really gives it the extra something.

Hi Boxingjewels...the dresses I have in mind can only be ordered online. They can be taken back to the store if needed. Of course, the closest store is an hour away!! But that gives me an excuse for a road trip!!

Thanks,
Teresa

TCOX62 - I would call the Target before going there to make sure they have them. The Target by my house doesn't have a lot of the dresses. I wouldn't want to drive that far and find out that they only carry the dresses online/are out of stock/etc. I love Target!

Awww everyone's dresses sound/look so nice! Tina, the link to your dresses isn't working, but I'm sure the dress is gorgeous! Jim Hjelm has always really appealed to me as a designer.

Your right - my girls picked a dress that is great for a spring wedding! And they both love it and think they will wear their dresses again, which is awesome.

My girls are wearing very simple dresses that come to the ankle. My maid of honor is in lilac and my bride's maids are in blush pink.

I found that Target online has some really nice tea lenght dresses at VERY reasonable prices...under $70!! The closest city is about an hour away so we will try to get over there soon and do some shopping. Even if I have to take each girl by herself to get a dress!!! I had originally wanted both girls in black then one of them said one should be lavender and the other black. Right now it doesn't matter to me as long as they get a dress by April!!!

If price is really a factor then go to a department store like Sears. There is really no reason to go through a bridal boutique. But I think you have the right idea about a semiformal dress as there is at least a chance they may be able to wear them again... well at least the black dress, I don't know about lavender ... but that may just be me.

I haven't really picked out a dress yet. I would really like for them to wear tea length dresses...something "semi" formal. One will probably be in black and the other in lavender. Price is a REALLY big factor as neither of the girls can afford much and I don't have the money to help them.

Marissa, I know someone who chose the same dress for her MOH in tea rose and she is getting married the weekened after you! lol..perfect dress for that time of year :)

I am going with this in the color eggplant. It doenst look like much in the picture, or even on the hanger, but when my friend put it on it was stunning. And I just fell in love with the back of it. We are giong to get some sort or a shimmer spray and spray it on the chiffon halter to add a little sparkle to it, since my theme is New Years Eve...(we got engaged on NYE)

These are the bridesmaids dresses that I am having the girls wear. My girls are across the state so it works well and the ages vary. It looks great on all sizes and ages!

Those are pretty. I haven't decided for sure yet but I'm pretty sure I'm going with this dress in Apple at David's bridal. My bridesmaids live all around the country so they can easily find a store near them. This dress seems to flatter everyone - from my 17 year old sister to my friend with 2 kids.

The soft pink is a nice colour, and I like the asymetrical hemline.
Both my bridesmaids have to travel to get to my wedding so I am making it as easy as possible for them. My Maid of honour has a black corseted bridesmaid dress left from a previous wedding that she has altered more to her liking (no crinoline and hemmed above the knee)and my other bridesmaid will be looking for a little black dress after she has lost some weight. I would rather she look now when she could get the after Christmas sale but she rather lose the weight first and pay more after then to get a dress and possibly alter it later.... But yeah all I asked was it to be black and knee length.

Hi ladies! It's been a while since we've had a good thread that shares our wedding choices with each other! So I was wondering, if you've chosen your girls' dresses, what do they look like? If you haven't chosen yet, do you have something in mind?

I have two maids of honour. They're wearing this dress:

Display.aspx?productID=f0f4ad70-3466R>-4eb2-85df-a0c846f57b57&categoryID=0

One is wearing that soft pink (tea rose) and the other is wearing a soft yellow (sunshine).
